- Mike and I jumped into the river, searched for bottles, and discovered other treasures. The crawdads were plentiful and HUGE! We also made a somewhat unsettling discovery of many headstones from a nearby graveyard partially buried in the river muck.

On GR8 day on the river, Mike and I searched for bottles and other artifacts. We stumbled upon several old 1700s headstones and other slate markers. We believe they were tossed over the riverbank with other "trash" in the not-too-distant past. They were not deposited due to river bank erosion, as the bank is primarily solid shale.

Hi Chigg and Mike, the slate pieces are definitely parts from a slate fireplace (mantle). Keep the great content coming 👍👍👍
@johngibbs8345
Nearly complete except for the mantle. Mantle was probably made out of wood… Number 445 was from the Sears catalog.?

Try again.
Look up chigger.

At 10:57 those are tops to furniture, like a washstand, or a fireplace mantel, not gravestones. But the one with "445" could be a grave marker for sure. Nice little dump area, good variety of stuff in there.
You two are gr8 together. Love all your videos Chigg, but the ones with Mike are always special. Great dynamic. Thanks for the adventure!
Glad you like them!
Thank you 😊
I have never been this early! 60th like, lol!
There was a headstone maker nearby.
Those are cut offs and defective pieces.
Sometimes, halfway through the making, a stone would break or otherwise show a defect, so it would have to be scrapped.
Oh good, Thank You for the info. because otherwise, that was really upsetting
Another fun day in the water with Chiggy and Mikey. GR8. Hi Mikey!
Hello Robin
That marble would be an absolute homerun if it wasn't broke. Still has value even broke. Great find.
I've never found one quite like it.
@aquachigger handmade German. Lutz if there is gold flake present. And red is a very desirable color. Really appreciate all the hard work and time you have dedicated to bring us all of the content over the years. Thanks again
A beautiful day for detecting. We called the large marbles Steam Rollers. Thanks for sharing.
Mikey is a really nice guy Beau , these adventures are more fun with a friend .
Taranto's in Biloxi, MS has good, spicy, boiled crawfish. ❤
I'd be pulling out all those wood beams, they look awesome dried and resawn.
Always like it when Mike tags along. That one bottle with the horizontal furrows may be a Squirt bottle. You guys found a lot of cool stuff on this adventure!
9th like, Happy Friday aquachigger
You too
@@aquachigger thanks chigg
Chigg and Mike hey
Hey
That was weird all those head stones cast away, I always get a good laugh listening to you and Mike talk when y'all find something , y'all make a great hunting pair . You both always find humor in things that y'all find . Thanks Chigg and Mike.
Aloha and mahalo for the hoalohaloha Chigg & Mike!
Gr8 Finds and The Chigg... Chigg and the Finds the Gr8 ... Original and why did you let that...ohhh... Tooth brush... Cray shrimp musketeer weapon re need to watch again tomorrow... Ladies... Stop buying beer for me.... Im not in highschool again
... 4:45... Grave stones are not ... Bottles...Graves... Liver...Ahhhh ... skulls....
Some nice bottles, lots of laughs. The slate was a little eerie tho😮👀
If he wasn't big enough to eat he would starve to death 😌
Now that was a good time! Thanks for the invite!
Hello Y'all, fun stuff for sure! Keep up the good work and vids... Be safe and take care, "God Bless", sincerely, Randy. 😇🙏👊
Thanks for another river adventure. Always appreciate all you share.
At 16:17... there is an eye in the water to the right of the barrel jar, about half way down, spooky. The slate should be stacked on the flat ground so it doesn't; break up anymore. Love the videos.
You guys are NUTS😊
🦐
So much fun! I think the barrel jar is (spelling) Koscziesko Mustard.
Looks like somebody may have gotten rid of headstones because they didn't want to preserve a graveyard on their property.
The amount of hand worked slate was unusual. The chunk with 445 engraved on it was a keeper.
Thanks Chigg, also love Mikes enthusiasm its sooo genuine
Always a blast watching you two together. Chiggs, Mike is into your shenanigans. Loved the embossed bottles, ai think the barrel jar had mustard in it. Cool bone tooth brush. The pieces of slate could be repurposed if you could haul them out. Great fun.👍👏😀
Chigg & Mike at it again! Some Kewl finds guys! Thanks for the upload!
River treasure!
Sweet!
Barrel jars like that are usually mustard, cool find!

YESSS a Chigg video to start the weekend off right. Binging your videos has inspired me to get metal detectors for me and my five year old son soon! We live near the historic Erie Canal and wanna see what we can find.
It was about time for another of your Fabled Bottle Adventures!
Awesome adventure. Good to see Mike. I was getting worried. ❤LL
Great episode! 🤟🏻
The brass could be from an old moonshiner still 😂
Good morning from Southeast South Dakota
Cool
Good time for sure. Thanks for sharing!!!
And not a leech to be seen! Water temps too cold?
8:00 looks like a water line curb box.
9:26 Huuuman skull at left center 9:00
Fun adventure and interesting finds!
They used to use slate or wood to line the Graves. This would keep the Graves from caving in before the casket is placed inside grave. The higher station of life..the more slate would line the graves.
8:10 looks like a lamp post base
Hello Beau and Mike. Good digs. To bad about the headstones. I love watching river hunts with you two. Always an adventure and laugh. T4S.👍😘
8:46 Definitely from a "Samsquench"
I think it is. 😮
Maybe Bakelite Mike. The first type of “ plastic “. Not a toothbrush though, unless there are many small holes to hold the bristles, ( I couldn’t tell if they were on it myself, cause I’m old and see like I use to). 😂 Chigg, the red shooter marble you found was made with gold, this is how the color red was made, back in the day, I do believe. Great finds with a good friend makes for a great day. 😊
Looks like lots of fun👍
To me, those slate pieces look like a fireplace surround and hearth. They don't look thick enough for grave stones.
I really enjoy seeing what you find in the river, much different stuff to what we find in England 🙂
Gr8 adventure.
Cool bartles!!
Neat marble!
Fun video but how come I never see you jumping around to avoid a snake? I wonder if the barrel shaped jar held pickles?
the red glass might fluoresce : )
how do you guys clean the insides of your bottles , i have a codd (if thats the one with the marble neck) i tried bleach 4 times but its going to take 200 years to clean it i think
1:46 pickle jar.
I don't think they were headstones, more likely table or cabinet tops. The one has the curved edge that has been tooled, not what I have seen on headstones but have seen on cabinets and dressers.. And they seem too thin
That might not be a toothbrush,..but a shoe or boot brush..the pointed end would be used to scrap dry mud of the shoes or boots.
All those bones, and old gravestones creepy lol very creepy if any of these are humans cook place to be at
More likely fireplace making, than gravestone
hey chigg it makes sense head stones and finding bones ! you may find a human skull
Maybe those stones are from someone who made headstones and are scrap pieces?
My step mother made us take cod liver oil when we were sick .
Some of that stone looks like surrounds for an old fireplace.
Kent Chungus sent me here!

Slate is fire place mantle pieces for Victorian house
Slate fireplace ?
Possible.
that’s train car wheel brake possibly
Those larger slate pieces look like parts of a tabletop.
We called those large marbles bollies.
Cool finds and bottles and a slate❤❤❤
That funnel at the beginning is an old canning funnel. There's probably been tens of thousands of green beans passed through that thing.
That makes sense, thanks for the id.
Are you selling them?
Old lamp post at 8:20?
8:08 is a water box
Slate roof.
spoooooky
8:03 🤣Panzerfaust ?
Ça c'est beau.
Thanks, Beau.
Thank you.
That spoked wheel that Mike found looked like a brake wheel off a train car.
Ah thank you. Makes sense. There was a railroad line along here years ago.
