No problem Sergeant! For pt, we did 3-4 miles run on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. PRT on Tuesday and Thursday. In addition, you have to do 10 push ups and 10 pull ups every time you leave or enter a building.
I went through Airborne school in March 1985 and I loved every single day of it. When I retired from the US Army and Reserve I had 50 jumps to include 2 jumps in Belgium and I earned the Belgium Airborne wings.
Just did 5th jump today !! Graduate tomorrow morning. You'll be waiting hour to just jump. Cant go to bathroom after jump master inspection check because you might mess something up on your parachute or harness
6 Years in the infantry airborne, and yes, my hips joints are hurting as I get older. Strangely enough, not my knees. Just my hip joints. All that slamming into the ground with rucks and weapons, in the nighttime. Over 60 jumps.
I sorta asked this question before but I forgot if I went back to check the answer. So lets say you're like POG all the way like a 42, 88, or 92 branch but you're getting your hitting all the strides, impressing your DSs and commanders with your fitness, performance, motivation, and attitude. Can you still be recommended or be allowed to go to airborne school and even RASP despite being essentially "rear guard" right out of AIT?
I’ve just re-enlisted. Been out for 6 years have to do basic all over again plus I’m reclassing. But I’m just over the age limit, if it’s offered when I do training, should I try to pick it up if offered?
@@HeresTheDrill would I need to talk to the NCO readiness about the dates? Also is there a certain amount of time I need to wait until I can request to go? I'm just a buck private, new to my unit.
My airborne school is January 11th 2021. due to COVID I have to quarantine before going. I heard there’s no PT test anymore due to COVID? Is that true? When I go January will all of that still be implemented? Since we have HBL coming up this week I know I’ll have to come back to fort Lee to quarantine and go through COVID 19 approved transportation. If I fall out of a run will I dropped from the course? And if I were to fail do they just send me home? I’m not active I’m just national guard and my unit is also in Georgia
I heard that there’s a reach assessment and I’m worried I might fail that since I’m 5’2 but hope I won’t. Any tips for airborne school? I’m a junior in high school and I’m about to take the asvab 👍. You think I’ll pass the reach assessment?
The Q course is always recruiting but you will have to build your packet at your unit and get the physical. Once that’s done you can turn it in anytime.
Thanks SFC. No PT in Airborne School? Oh wow. What happened to the White House fall out place. ?? Bummer. Why would you want to volunteer for Ranger School? Ha Ha! Q6 Lurso here.
Great vid man and ty. The physician or counselor basically checked if I could pop my ears at elevation etc then she started asking me in I knew how to,…. And before she completed the sentence I pressurized my ears, this is why she made me read the card as quickly as I could without error and this is why she asked how I feel about going airbourne, yeah?
Pt is back at Airborne School!
Hey that’s dope, thanks for the update!!!

Pt test or just regular pt ?
Do they still have the 42 pushups? damn, I suck at pushups bro. I can do 60 situps, 37min 5 mile and stuff but pushups, god, by 30, Im dying
Should have moved to ACFT Hand release PU, look into those and keep grinding.
Graduated OCT of 1986 from Jump School went on to the 82nd C Company 307 Engineers

68w option 4... I turned down 11x for it. Now I know I can go to rasp ... im stoked. Ship out next month on the 4t
I am literally sitting here and waiting for in-processing looking at the jump towers.

Yes! PT is back!
Airborne!!! Here now at FT Moore!
Going to airborne school in a year and honestly I’m terrified and anxious.
Already did air assault though
You’ll do great it’s not hard
I want to go airborne but I’m scared that ima mess up my hips

@@RivetGardener yeah I decided no airborne for but I’ma try air assault school , thank you for your service
I heard they recently got rid of the 250ft tower because of its ineffectiveness and people actually dying from it
I’d have to look that up, but I haven’t heard anyone dying from it. It is a weather decision based training.
Every jump is a night jump! Bahahaha

Absolutely, MOS doesn’t stop anyone from airborne school. If your crushing AIT you can definitely get it no doubt.
Hey sergeant. I'm a hold over for airborne right now. Are they doing the apft now.... or in 2 weeks? Great video btw
No should be centered around ACFT. APFT is gone.
@@HeresTheDrill that's great news. Thanks
They used to run a course at Bragg, too, when I was there. Is that gone now?
Yeah only Benning
So... I'm thinking about going airborne school are they still not having the ACFT as a requirement?
So everyone who raises their hands for rasp will get it there?
Airborne school will do everything they can. Absolutely
I’ve just re-enlisted. Been out for 6 years have to do basic all over again plus I’m reclassing. But I’m just over the age limit, if it’s offered when I do training, should I try to pick it up if offered?
Absolutely, it’s a huge growth opportunity
How can I get my ears to pop!!! It's the only thing stoping me.
I really want to go to Airborne school! But I'm NG and I'm an MP so does that make my chances of going to Airborne school slim to none?
No it don’t units always have money for school. I’d say you provide them dates and get your physical done and be easy to go. Then keep trying.
@@HeresTheDrill would I need to talk to the NCO readiness about the dates? Also is there a certain amount of time I need to wait until I can request to go? I'm just a buck private, new to my unit.
Talk with your first line supervisor first, then with schools nco to get it rolling.

Last I heard no PT but it was beginning to come back. You can only fall out of one run, because your only allowed two counseling’s.
I’m in fort lee also rn and I got to airborne school tmmr
@@ProllyTae. are they still not doing APFTs? I go next month.
Should be acft now only
No more Apft???
My contract says two weeks??
Airborne school is 3 weeks
Airborne school is actually 2 weeks and 5 days. When they do the paper work, they only enter 2 weeks.
So 3 training weeks? Yeah
Will there be a PT test? And is the flex arm hang just holding yourself up once? 2022? Thanks
I finish AIT at the end of february will it only be acft standard?
Absolutely should be
Do they do layouts at the school?
Not when I went.

I’m not totally sure on that assessment but give it all you got. I have a lot of friends that are shorter in the Army, no issues
Is pft or acft pls let me know
Apft is no longer test of record. Currently they test you on a Chin up hold for 10 seconds.
@@HeresTheDrill if you cant pull your self if i am not wrong they help you im havin trubles with chin ups and its on my contact correct me pls
Is SF recruiting out of airborne school?
