Same happened in my house...my little sister was sick n my dad had to leave to help another woman's who's child was sick but by the time he returned God had healed my sister...Glory to God!!!
Great testimony of the glory of God but this is what I believe. A pastor has a duty to his family first. If his child or wife is seriously sick he is suppose to stay by her unless God says otherwise. He can pray for the church member's child or family member while he is home with his family that needs him. There is no barrier or distance that can stop God from hearing his prayers. Just like what happened for the centurion in Matthew 8:8
This is why Pastors' wives should work or have businesses. Even if the husband is called into full-time ministry, the wife should not also be a housewife. Although God could call them both as full-time ministers, but timing is crucial too. Ask God when each of you should enter full-time. This is a blessed drama piece.

May God bless all who serve Him faithful,this is can serve as a challenge to pastors also,They must focus on discipling their flock so that believers may have a personal relationship with God and this can solve most of pastors problem. Another issue is that pastors either knowing it or not make their members have high expectations on them which become a great challenge to the ministry of the pastor,his life,relationship with God and His family too. Lastly ministers should know that vulnerability is a strength, don't ever let anyone treat you or think you are a super human.Blessings
This is true. And I side with this perspective too. However, for the sake of balance, let me also say, that this phase is inevitable even when you’re building your members to know God for themselves because while building, just like a child, they’ll need constant attention and the pastor’s continuous ministration till they are grown and mature to stand on their own. If not, their faith will die. Jesus couldn’t leave the disciples until He had shown and taught them some truths/realities. Or else, they will have turned back along the way after a while just like they did immediately after His death
I am really in pain writing this because I have been in this situation for long my Husband is a pastor and he spends all this time on church members leaving his family but he still go through all manner of things from this same members God helpe us 🙏😭
