Oh, I see: You've done it again this year, Chris :) Very well done again! This year the weather was even better and everybody could enjoy the event after the run. I like it that many people and runners are waving into your camera. Turning your cam towards behind your back during the run is a fantastic idea, too :)
As you can probably tell, I really enjoyed myself at this year's Run Gatwick. The weather was fantastic and the event village had plenty to do after the run had finished. It's my favourite part of editting a video, watching the clips where I'm filing the runners behind me to see if they react to the camera!
This excellent race vlog makes me desperate for a sunny (but cool - spring weather) closed roads half marathon: a few little inclines..a top- notch Costa nearby, free parking, nice race-shirt and/or a top quality medal (aka a fridge magnet) plenty of portaloos/urinals. A circular course - town centre > countryside - rivers, thatched cottages and enthusiastic spectators. A very fit and well trained old-bloke (me) finishes in a satisfying 1:32: 21 chip time! Home in time to watch Sky Premier with LFC* beating United 3 - 0 at Old Trafford.
Thanks mate. I still have all of this year's races in my calendar and Run Gatwick popped up last weekend, then this weekend it should have been Hackney Half. I'm very thankful that I got to run the Surrey Half a couple of weeks before he lockdown. Certainly miss the races but also enjoying running for fun. Will be really interesting to see what happens with the conclusion of the football season this year. Whatever is decided, some people will be happy and many more will be very unhappy, I reckon.
Here We Are Running absolutely! I would have done it this year except I had a family event on the same day and logistics would have been an issue! Did you help set up there?
@@DanRuns I helped put the On Running inflatable cloud up :-) But I also did some behind the scenes filming on Saturday for a video that should be coming out next week. Early bird entry is already open for next year if you want to get entry at a reduced price.
@@HereWeAreRunning That's really cool, the inflatable looked ace! Looking forward to seeing the footage :) I'll check out early bird, thanks! Are you doing Box Hill again this year, or Reigate?
@@DanRuns So I'm already signed up for Run Reigate. Beat Box Hill is two weeks afterwards this year but I have a little matter of the Ragnar Relay to do the week inbetween :-) So will probably have to miss Box Hill this year.
Mate, it didn't make it into this video but don't worry, it's going to be in the Behind the Scenes video later this week or maybe next week. It was a really nice burger though 😁
Thanks Nick :-) Just under 1 hour 52 mins. So pretty much spot on marathon pace, although I did stop for a bit of plane spotting which probably cost me a couple of minutes! Two weeks to go until I take on the Edinburgh marathon so had to be sensible.

So gutted to have missed this. Looks like a fantastic course and atmosphere
Mate you really did miss out, Def put it on the list for next year. We were so lucky with the weather and yes, atmosphere was great :-)
Wow super run mate, that course looks pretty good, just looked at your strava! Great job on the video
Thanks mate, I really enjoyed it - as you can probably tell :-) I suspect you can spot my bit of plane spotting on my Strava!
It looked like great fun and what weather!
Fantastic weather and yes, it was a really good event. Are you tempted for next year?

😉 now your making me hungry again
Hi Chris, good work mate well done. What time did you do?
Thanks Nick :-) Just under 1 hour 52 mins. So pretty much spot on marathon pace, although I did stop for a bit of plane spotting which probably cost me a couple of minutes! Two weeks to go until I take on the Edinburgh marathon so had to be sensible.
