Is the event backup limited to cloud providers (g drive, drop box) or can it be backed up to non ubiquiti network storage (a nas either locally or via a vpn (synology) )
Is it also possible with the Doorbell 4G Pro to add pictures of people as can be seen in the video at 1:25. Thank you very much. Or is the AI Key hardware required here?
Does Ubiquiti have some type of road-map for new products coming to market and when they will be available? I just bought #2 x AI Ports, but I like this product better (sounds like it will better fit my needs)... I could have avoided buying and returning (didn't open them), had I know this was on the horizon.... If there is a roadmap for new products, where can I view it? I assume the AI Key doesn't support ONVIF cameras (like the AI Port does)?
These are used for different use cases and one actually enables the other. The AI Key will process and enhance smart detections and the AI Port will help you capture those smart detections from 3rd party cameras. So, if you aren't capturing smart detections, the AI key won't process anything. If you have 3rd party cameras and want these enhanced detection features, you need both.
@@TechnoTim I'm not entirely sure Tim... I get what you are saying, especially if applying it to ONVIF camera (you need the AI Port). I just laid out $400 for two AI ports (with the HOPE that it will pair up with 5 cameras each in the future).. I'm @ 60% of the cost of the AI key. it does, you simply configure an action in Alarm Manager in Protect to unlock a configured door in Access when a registered fingerprint is presented. Doesn't need the AI key, just a G4 Doorbell and a UA Hub/Mini/Gate Hub configured. Works perfectly.
Would this AI Key allow connections from cameras that aren't Ubiquiti? What if I wanted to connect a raspberry pi camera and have a cheap way to analyze videos from a garden for animal detection?
Next step is the ability to do local AI training of things the smart detections miss by default - upload a clip from the relevant camera and highlight the object the smart detection missed.
