Do have an opinion on mesotherapy with the hyaloron pen? I’ve seen some using the pen for growth factors like Egf and Volufiline but there is so much fear mongering around the device due to all the duck lip disasters with filler that I can not see through the mud of conflicting information. TJ great video. You are very precise in explaining all procedures clearly and I love when you geek out on skin talk! Just bought some calicem products during Black Friday sales and I am looking forward to trying them. Your skin looks amazing! Happy holidays from New York!
I’ve been medical microneedling at home since the pandemic. I put neogenesis recovery serum on my squeaky clean skin and use cos de baha HA serum for gliding purposes. The latter because it consist of only three ingredients and the former because it uses adult human derived stem cells unlike calecim’s red deer stem cells cause last time I checked I’m unfortunately NOT the deer lady (Res dogs reference) It is not my favorite procedure but fo’sure the most effective! I don’t needle my nose. No particular reason, listening to you I’d say my instincts are working properly :) 0.5 -0.7 mm on forehead, temples, around lips and undereyes. 1.0-1.5 mm on the rest of face and neck. I don’t stop tret ahead of my treatment. 24h after I resume my normal routine but might take it easy with mixing actives.
I’ve been using calecim and micro needling for months and I gotten so many compliments on skin!! It’s been the best skin product I’ve used, and unfortunately I’ve used a lot!! 😂
It's so good! I am getting through a crazy amount of it right now because I don’t think I’ve ever seen my skin respond to a topical quite like this. I’m even adding a few drops into my sunscreen now 😂
I saw an interview with a with a man who works for Calecim, called Oliver Tobin, who said that every single product made by Calecim comes from the umbilical cord of ONE red deer. The deer are raised naturally in New Zealand for their antlers (which they shed every year) so this product is highly ethical.
Exactly. I normally avoid products containing animal byproducts or anything that uses animals to create it, but after digging deep, this really quashed all my worries.
Fabulous video. Such a great explanation of everything having to do with microneedling and Calecim. Simple question: your video shows you microneedling around the lips, seemingly on the top and bottom vermillion. I don't see you microneedling above the upper lip. Is that because you don't have upper lip lines? That's a major attack area for me. Thanks again for this video. You look even more handsome!
Luckily, I have zero lip lines so it’s not somewhere I need to focus on too much. I do microneedle there, but just once a month rather than every time ☺️
❤ Love your videos! Look forward to each and every one of them! (Btw- Are you in the med spa industry?). I have most of the devices that you recommend except for the plasma pen and the HIFU stuff… can you tell me do you believe that the micro needling with Calecim is the best for “tightening” the skin? Or what would you recommend? Especially under the eyes puffiness and the jowls. 😅 Thank you and keep those videos coming!
Hi 👋 I’m almost through with my aesthetics training, so I do part time in a medi-spa (mainly training) I genuinely feel Calecim helps tighten the skin massively over time and provides long-lasting and ongoing results. For the eyes and jowls, either something like the ZIIP halo or the NIRA pro - both of which are amazing for those areas. Hope this helps.
I apply the Calecim Night Recovery Complex for the first 3 days (The whole line gives my skin LIFE!). Then I start introducing my usual moisturisers and serums again as the days pass.
Thank you for the great info!! I saved this one to watch again. Do you cosmetic needle in between CIT? What serum would you recommend for cosmetic /nano-needling?
I do. I microneedle between CIT. So, I actually use the Calecim Serum 75% of the time now, and on the other occasions I use the Qure ampoules, which contain things like copper peptides, HA, and niacinimide 😀
Thats actually what i do, I add the Calecim professional serum into my PDRN slip, I get great results. But hearing lately that most are applying post needling. 🤷♀️
It is possible to microneedle with serums, peptides, and certain actives during the process. However, with things like exosomes and EGF, it's best to give the skin 5-10 minutes to breath after the session and for the microchannels to become their most receptive after the initial influx of cytokines.
I did. As I do the stamping method rather than the sliding one, no serum is needed :) then I can make sure it’s 100% exosomes and egf being absorbed instead of diluted down.
I’ve watched a lot of videos about microneedling and am well informed about Calecim, but still think this video was informative and entertaining. However, something I still have never found an answer to, maybe you can answer. It would be highly appreciated: Why is it so important to not be needling deeper than what you are recommending? Concretely what will happen? Is the broken capillaries the problem? If so, is that really a problem or is it just a cosmetic aspect? As I understand the biggest changes (like removing deep wrinkles and scars) happens at a deeper level.
I don’t know the psychology. But I relate it to any other type of injury. Think a stab wound will take longer to heal than a paper cut. There are a lot more layers of skin and muscle that need to restructure. And if you re injury it, healing is delayed.
@ thank you for your answer. So you think it is better for the skin with shorter healing time? Some of the most aggressive treatments with the longest healing time are the most effective… With deep I mean deeper than what TJ is recommending.
You can absolutely do deeper micro needling if you want. The thing is, it’s important to remember to perform correct hygiene and cleansing before going deeper as you will be reaching into the blood barrier. This slightly increases the risk of an adverse reactions to infection or non-sterile topical products causing issues too. Other than that, do what you feel comfortable doing. 😊
You said it's also for tighten the skin. Is this also the perfect way for tighten the skin beneath my chin? My under chin needs to tighten. The skin is to lose and that's not pretty. (maybe you can do a video on that aria?)
@TJTutorials Well, the Ziip Halo I do have and use 5 times a week. And I have the electric plasma pen for 1 or 2 treatments during the wintertime. I just did 1 a month ago. But what more can I do in that area to tighten the skin? I lost some weight and that's why.
@TJTutorials I've had so many people tell me that RF melts fat, making skin more loose. I'm too scared to try it. My clinic recommended Focus Dual treatments, that's Hifu and RF microneedling combined, but many people say its the worst thing they ever did as it melted their fat layer. Its confusing 😕
Hi. I actually do. The thing you need to consider is that forcing the spicules in with the micro needle needles could cause them to shatter and be inserted at angles they’re not designed to be entering the skin at. In turn, these spicules might not easily be expelled as the skin cells naturally turn over, resulting in unwanted granuloma. I would save them for finger application only.
I think it’s a little bit of a gimmick. Unfortunately, the EGF is extracted from plant based sources (barley) which means that it won’t be able to speak the human body’s cellular language. Whether it’s egf, exosomes, or stem cells, for them to be effective with anti-aging, they really need to be from a mammalian source that is human-compatible. That’s not to say that it will offer zero benefits, because I’m sure some of the ingredients will be hydrating. But other than that, I’m not sold ☺️
The important thing to ask yourself though is “ have I noticed a change in my skin since I started using it?” See, the way I look at it is that if something is giving you results and you’re happy with it, then keep on at it - even if it’s not doing exactly what you think😁 a great example of this is that I have rosacea skin, meaning I shouldn’t really be using treatments like radio frequency or HIfU - yet here I am, and it’s working. Sure, I have the occasional flareup. But the end result is what I’m interested in. ❤️ Also, thank you so much for your kind words. It’s made my day a little bit brighter. I will carry on looking into the serum you use and do a deep dive on the science behind it. Who knows, maybe they’ve perfected away of getting plant-based stem cells to work for human skin. I just need a few more hours in the day. 😂

@TJTutorials Yes! Lol! And then they took it off the market. I mean it stands to reason. If you can take a tough old cut of beef and turn it into Sirloin like fudge...how could it not work. Better than beating it with a tenderising hammer 😂
@maureengreen8695 I had the treatment done at a salon Maureen. Do the spicules hurt? Dear lord yes. Akin to being massaged with broken glass for 3 minutes. Then they apply a cream which is akin to setting your face on fire for 15 minutes. But I have to say the result is fab.
