KTM's intro was held at Red Bud the same weekend as the GNC national. We raced the machine on the big track which didn't leave a lot of time to collect video on the big track. So what do you love about us testing on the small track?
You didn't understand what i said lol The rider on the 505SX (477cc) was at the same level of the rider in the other quads (had big bores 475cc and more...) and even then he managed to take 2nd place. The conclusion is, An 11500 quad can keep up with highly modded quads (20K+) considering the riders had similar experience. KTM made their point, go figure.
The KTM is the most race ready, the Yamaha YFZ450R is great and we have just begun to explore its potentials for performance and reliability, The DS450X MX is race ready for under $10.000 but has the most difficult motor in its class to ride. The LTR is proven, we know what it takes to make it run and what might break. For a conservative person who doesn't like purchasing first year machines the LTR is an obvious choice and still totally capable of winning in any class.
yeah, not gonna lie, the small track is kinda fun:P lol but the bike looked real strong...if u guys had to choose out of all the 450's of 08 or 09, which would u choose cause i just got my ltr and i love it. oh and when r u guys gonna be up at red bud again???
Don't think so mate. The LTR is nice but it needs, head work, full pipe and cherry to keep up with the 525XC. Now we're talking about the SX which is powerfull and faster revving than the XC so you can see... Ride an LTR and then test the 505SX and you'll understand ;)
yea the tape on the seat is bad im getting a new one but those rims are beadlock hypers at like 200$ a peice. there the most expensive rims you can buy so idk wtf ur talkin about
Put the same rider on all the best quads and the KTM will come out on top! And I dont care about a modified quad anybody can do that! I am talking about off the showroom floor.
i dont think that polaris should be able to put ktm motors in their quads cuz now whats so special about polaris i mean poeple say polaris is better than ktm but they have to remember whos motor is in their bike thats why i have zero respect for polaris so i went and bought a new ktm 450xc and i love it!

I assumed that. I think it worked out okay considering we had to shoot mostly on the small track.
exactly. I'm a yamaha fan, but im in the market for a new quad and i'll mostly likely pick up the KTM

This weekend at an MX race, an almost stock 505SX finished 2nd ahead of highly modded 20K LTR's and YFZ's hahahahaha
Sold my LTR to buy the 505sx. The KTM is so much nicer, and faster. My LTR was not stock either.

actually they are there hiper tech dual beadlock carbon fiber rims at 200 a peice. thts 200x4 u do the rest..
at the end it says the motor is a SOHC its actually a DOHC (dual overhead cam)

they can range from where u live to like 10 000 to 13 000

i think they should of made them kick start in order for them to be truely race ready. no one wants a electric start for racing
