Those GP’s are terrible. There’s like 5 good tracks in the schedule, all of the other ones are literally soulless. Gates are empty, no crowd, no excitement at all. This is a world championship ? What a shame. The American series are a thousand times better. Those gp riders should all go and ride there, at least they’ll be treated at their right value there. Shame on mxgp, what a shitty serie it had become…
nah. the MX series in the US is hurting. SX has a 20-rider gate but has more teams compete b/c it's significantly less costly and pays more money. pretty much everyone at the ama nationals from positions 20-40 are locals and wannabes that never scored a point (p20?) in a national moto. it is better than MXGP. I'm only saying that AMA MX Nationals are struggling in their own way to get rider participation. Crowds are significant though, and the tracks (while maybe nothing like the classic EU tracks) are all legit with elevation changes and jumps.
Im a 100% Herlings fan but i hope Prado wins this title ..he deserves it the most this season , has by far most wins but also had his portion of bad luck .. on avg he was the best this season
china is basically the other side of the world for everyone (EU, NA, SA). it's really only close for AU. so the only riders traveling are the ones on factory teams. it's dumb. they must be getting bankrolled by some chinese government program. it's the same thing with the WSX series in Abu Dhabi. they hold it in a tiny arena b/c that's the new arena that the Abu Dhabi leaders/govt wanted to show off...even though it was way too small and made no sense for a SX race. the same is true of the LIV golf series. Saudi Sovereign Wealth fund subsidizes it. it's a massive money sink, but it results in a lot of publicity and prominence on the world stage. basically, the organizers (FIM) are getting paid to hold events at these places that are not really equipped, nor have the popular support (fans/riders) to sustain it without being propped up by outside sources (like the aforementioned wealth fund).

What in gods name possesses someone to book this round. So many other amazing tracks to choose from. The track sucked the weather sucked there was no one in attendance. There were 19 guys in the gate including 2 local riders that got lapped at the 26 minute mark that looked like they had never been on a dirt bike . Completely ridiculous.

I don't get these GPs in nowhere. I can understand if they did GPs in places where there are no local riders, but at least spectators. But since this place has neither why go there? The money the sink in this nonsense is exactly the money they could and should use to give the riders cash for everyone who qualifies like it used to be. Motocross isn't F1!

I think it’s just going to get worse. Prado and some top MX2 riders will be going to the US. As an American, I’m glad to see good European riders race here, but I’m honestly sad that it’s at the expense of MXGP. I just like the top riders race each other.
