I used to argue with bullet riders. I quit long back. My question was, with that immense torque you can’t drag. Despite being 350/500 cc can’t do speed runs. Why do you buy that. They asked me let’s crash face to face and see. 🙄 duh dude do you buy motorcycle to crash?

Well this actually happened with my friend riding his RE350 and a youngster riding FZ16 crashed head to head. The FZ16 got its side cover, fender and some other plastic parts broken but at the same time the RE 350 got its headlight crushed, front mudguard badly dented, front forks bent, side panels, indicators, foot pegs, gear shifter and tank damaged. As they settled the the damage compensation by themselves (out of the court/law because the FZ guy had no license he was willing to pay whatever compensation) RE350 had incurred damages worth 16000 while FZ16 under 7500. Hence the crash argument isn't quite right.
Good lord. Most of the damage probably happened when all that unnecessary weight hit the group hard than during the collusion. Surprised that the FZ survived with just that much tho 😮
@@Mototzigane Absolutely. Most of the damage was caused by the RE350 hitting and brushing itself against the ground. Both the riders fell far off from their bikes (luckily they survived without hurting/debilitating themselves much). Due to the plastic parts on the FZ16 the collision force facing it was dispersed off by breaking its plastic parts while due to RE350's rigid metal parts, the collision force dented its parts and dragged it on the ground scratching and ripping its body.
True that. Atleast glad that the riders are alright. Hopefully the RE guy gets something better, there's definitely more of riding he's got to explore and experience. The kid on FZ will have a good story to grow up with.
The thing with FZ is you can trust it no matter what kinda engine condition it is of!!! It'll take you to the destination. Had a good experience. And easy maintenance. Just simply love the bike
True...that's why I still own fz old model....I myself tried it on highways....RE nowhere in the scene when I overtake. Really a wonderful Machine from yamaha.

I've definitely been far far away from where I live. I've been camping and as well. Felt like tech and just other bullshit was taking a great toll over my mental health. I've had panic attacks and was stressed so it was necessary.
My friend owns a classic black 500 and i own a r15v3 We decided to drag race one day in first two gears i was just a bit ahead of him as i went in top end of second gear(in this case above 7500rpm *vva kicked in yo😋*) the v3 started pulling ahead as i went in 3 rd the RE started showing its age and and the gap started to increase when i was hitting 132 in 5th i wasen't able to see the re in my rear view mirror i even had a pillion with me and sadly the stretch ended and i had to apply the brakes i wasen't even able to use my sixth gear.

And i think many time people loose because they aren't able to shift right and get a good launch some times I have defeated my friends on rs 200 as they were not able to get their shift right and a good launch(chappris they just buy sport bike to show off leaving some who genuinley care about their rides before even i had the same mentality but it improved soon when i saw people thrashing my bike by watching me do so first thing i did was leave such friend and got my bike nicely serviced and started maintaing it nicely.)

Just so basic maintenance. 1. Change oil every 3000 kms. (I used she'll AX7 Semi synthetic) 2. Change clutch cables during evry service. 3. Brake pads should last for about 6000 kms. Change it, it's pretty cheap. 4. Clean air filter every service. Change it every 6000kms. Overall, it's incredibly cheap to maintain a FZ16. Make sure the oil level is never too low, the bike will last you forever.
The moment the riders were switched. Not even a shadow was seen of the RE. Clearly not for drag races, not enough power even though the price gap is that big! Indeed a disappointment. And moreover even if there was a rider equally good as mototzigane, it would've still had the same result, maybe with less car lengths!🤣

Weight of the rider comes into the play. Since you had a pillion, you were at disadvantage. Also the launch and shifts matters :D
