Nerdmaid Faith on which I saw mermaid tails that looked just like fin fun for 16 US dollars including shipping. It had very good reviews. We are VERY short on money so this is a score. We cannot afford fin fun.......... We are kinda poor. But my dad found a job I might make videos of me fixing tails that ripped or were not good quality and make a new tail out of it.... I don't know what I'm talking about....... I am sorry if I don't make sense

I like to visit the mermaid tail sites in your videos after I watch them (I love ooguling tails!) and I agree, the AquaTail site was hard to navigate and it was difficult to find what I was looking for.

I'm glad to know about the drag in a regular tailskin because barring a Nixie I was going to make my own tailskin, now I know that if I have to resort to that I should try and go with the "underwear style" as you put it. Good review! I love the design and durability. It's much sleeker than some other designs. Also adjustable! The foot pocket design and placement is quite comfortable. I have knee problems and this fin is less stressful than some. I have found it very safe, quick and easy to get off. I love my color combo: the blue/green! (I used this set of colors back in my 4-H horse showing days!). Very ocean. The melon is fine if you like those colors. Yaaaaaaaaaaaas... it sinks like a rock. But does not weigh down your feet at all! I know several mermaids do tails for it (cough Courtney Mermaid cough). It can also be fit in a Fin Fun tail (with a tiny bit of edge showing in the middle bottom), so put it with a blue/green tailskin). The PROBLEM is those of us with big weird feet. They need to do a larger size, or one with a boxier foot pocket. My feet are size tenish, but I have arthritic big toe base joints aka: "Hallux rigidus is a form of degenerative arthritis, which can cause pain and stiffness in the metatarsophalangeal joint (the joint where your big toe-the hallux-joins your foot). ... A bump, like a bunion or callus, often develops on the top of the foot and makes wearing shoes difficult. " While this is not a problem in large dive fins that I can wear neoprene socks in, or in the neoprene Fin Fun fins, it becomes an irritation in a tight fitting fin. Wondering if the Mahina or Linden would cause the same issue? I love the Luna and would recommend it. It is stupid easy to get on and off. The flerp flerpyiness is weird compared to, oh, my (pair of) dive fins, but looks great, even in a tailskin. OK, so I debated whether to hang this fin up and give it to someone. It irritates my lumpy arthritic big toe joint. I have big broad feet (they really need to make a larger size)... BUT... mermaid life hacks: I used a couple of hairbands (the sproingy circular ones) to extend the heel strap. Looped through the last hole in the strap, then around the peg on the fin. Now my foot sits back farther, my arthritic toes have more room, and I can wear light (about 2mm) neoprene socks to pad my feet. Now the fin works great, and does not fall off or become loose. It is easily removed and put back on tho.
Darn. I've been looking for another monofin to add to my collection, but I have the Mahina already and am afraid I have a higher expectation now 😅 I was gonna get the Luna... but I also don't like the dip dye look lol
Oh I have an experience with my Finis Luna alright: It broke within a week. I’ve been trying to fix it for two years. But, (factory) mistakes happen and now I’m trying to fix them using fiberglass and Silicone Sealant. Let’s hope it works. 🤞

I recently bought myself a monofin, and I can do 25m without fins, barely 50m with them, so I'm shooting for a comfortable 50m with the monofin.(I'll go for shorter distances first, then slowly travel farther)

Doki Dro I have the luna monofin and I don't know if it's compatible with the mermaid Kat tail skin but I doubt it. But I do know that it is compatible with the magic tail skin.
