Testing New Catfish Rods: Dragging Baits at Night for Shallow Water Catfish

- Join me as I break in my new catfish rods on a productive evening of dragging baits in one of my favorite coves. The action starts with the sun setting and continues well into the night as the Catfish move into the shallow, 2-3 foot waters to feed. These new rods proved their worth, handling the challenge of dragging baits like pros. I also experimented with black lights to illuminate my rods, but they didn’t quite cut it. As the night went on, I switched to my regular filming light for the last few catches. It’s clear I need better black lights, but the fishing was still a blast! Watch the video and let me know what you think of these new rods!
Nice way to break-in some new rods!
For sure!
Black lights attrack bugs brother just like a bug zapper love your videos keep them coming peace out from Ohio Don T
I wish I take a bug zapper with me run it on a car battery for a while.
Those are your lucky socks
Yep lol!
You can definitely drag with a med heavy rod but it kind of depends on the brand of rod. Not all med heavy rods fish the same.
Had some good catching that night, like you said some good eating size. What kind of buts were those?. there sure is plenty of them
Bluegill and White bass was the bait. Blue Catfish ate them.
@@Capt_Billy Thought you said you didn't eat them from thoses waters. I didn't mean baits I mean what kind of bugs were those flying around, there were hundereds of them. Always enjoy your videos
@@davidgarcia9808 Was saying the Blue Cats were eating the bait lol! I do not know what they were. Lots of tiny knats that I got to swallow and choke on.
Man, I am scared of fishing at night!

Its a stern planar board made by Church Tackle. Here is a discount link to their website. I don't make anything from it. I saw one at a local shop and just had to buy it: churchtackle.com/discount/TNRVG10
