    28:14 They actually used my Weeping Angel cliffhanger comment!!! Thank you😄 It was such a big shock when the Doctor changed into the Weeping Angel, glad they showed that spectacular & chilling monster moment😇👏 “You are recalled…to DIVISION”

    Angels, midnight, vasta nerada and mondasians, empty child all used to give me nightmares and hide behind the sofa….

    The Mondasian cybermen are by far the best versions of cybermen we've ever had. Really hope they return with ncuti

    • @MrWhatWhy
      @MrWhatWhy ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah they're my favourite too. They're also in my opinion the scariest of all the cybermen

    • @smallpixl
      @smallpixl ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@MrWhatWhy fully agree, these cybermen have the best body horror and feel the most like augmented humans/people than any others. Like I forget what cybermen are meant to be with the newer ones

      Either Mondasian Cybermen or a new design that borrows from the Mondasian body horror. We need scary Cybermen back for good. Less like technologically advanced, highly armoured super robots and more of the original terrifying vision of life saving upgrades that remove all humanity and individuality.
      Modern day original Cybermen, rough around the edges, no refinement. Keeping them creepy, socially relevant, intimidating and with a chilling voice. The way the Mondasian Cybermen talk is just perfect, even the Telos Cyberman voice sends chills down my spine. Something like those would be amazing in a more modern lense while hopefully keeping it fresh

    Yeah. The monsters are creepy/scary. Midnight, however, I've worked with monsters like the people on this wonderful day trip in hell and becoming hell itself. Scary. "Throw him out."

    I think I know why the angels in the ‘village of the angels’ look so goofy. They made actual statue props instead of having actors that were edited
    to look static.

    The Sea Devils emerging from waves back in John Pertwee's era gave me nightmares.
    Pertwee's first 12 stories (1970 -72) and Tom Baker's first 21 (1975 - 77) were the most consistently strong in the show's history.

    • @eh6454
      @eh6454 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have a childhood recollection (60’s or 70’s) of Dr Who clinging to the side of a vat of sinister foam by his fingernails - would that have been a sea devils episode? 😅

    • @DrWhoFanJ
      @DrWhoFanJ ปีที่แล้ว

      @@eh6454 There’s definitely no foam in the Sea Devils’ one story from the 1970s (and they weren’t introduced until 1972, so 1960s appearances are fundamentally impossible!)
      Unfortunately, foam machines were so ridiculously common in late-1960s stories that I’m afraid more information than that will be needed to have even a hope of identifying the scene you’re remembering!

    • @eh6454
      @eh6454 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DrWhoFanJ TH-cam just ate my reply - it’s Fury from the Deep, first broadcast in 1968.

    • @DrWhoFanJ
      @DrWhoFanJ ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@eh6454 That was one of the scenes I thought was likely, though it was actually Jamie being lifted out of a room that was filling with foam onto a balcony/patio area on said room’s roof.
      The story is sadly missing from the archives, but it has been reanimated in full colour for a 2020 BD release.

    • @eh6454
      @eh6454 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DrWhoFanJ Thank you. Yes, I read about the animation. I’m sure it doesn’t compare with the horror of the original, though, the memory of which has stayed with me through the decades! The ice warriors and the yeti used to give me bad dreams as well. Compelling Sunday night viewing, though!

    7:01 I would be shouting, “SHUT UP, EVERYONE!”. I have an ear-piercing whistle that would do the trick if my voice didn’t. I would say, “I’m sorry about this but…” first and immediately: TWEEEEEEET!
    It doesn’t do anyone or anything any good by YELLING AT EACH OTHER.
