I’m only at 13 min, but I’m sitting here feeling (foolishly) proud that I went through the last years with you, not once doubting that you’re teaching the Word correctly. I know it’s been by the Lord’s guidance, because I ask Him daily to give me discernment and I always feel “home” listening to you. God knows nothing is more important to me than having a correct understanding of His Word. I’m so grateful to be standing assured and confident in the Lord. You’re an amazing and gifted teacher, David.
😄half of the time I do have you slowed to .75. I absorb more that way.

Amen! Its pretty much a guarantee that anyone with the testimony of Christ will suffer attacks and persecution, especially when the enemy sees us growing in grace and knowledg of the Lord Jesus. When we realize we wrestle not against flesh and blood and are equipped with spiritual armor, we can face situations in a much different way and come out victorious and even stronger. When we are weak, HE is strong. I loved this message so much, brother!

"....Ultimately, this was my training ground of affliction....and God comforted me with the Gospel..."
David Benjamin said in this video.
Praise God, Jesus, thank you for our brother David and what you have brought him through ....
what You have done to train him up to teach the Word of God in truth, and bring so many into the freedom of Your love, what You have for us in the time yet to come. Thank you for the wisdom You have imparted in David over the years, we who listen to his ministry are so greatly blessed!
Through our brother David, we have enjoyed and learned how to rest in Christ, just what You have given us, not torment, but rest for the sheep. Thank you Jesus!!!

I agree David, we all suffer persecution and attacks from the enemy once we have the testimony of Christ and we become more bold in our faith. The battle is certainly spiritual, I have been attacked often when I sit down to read the scriptures and I will stop and pray and talk to the Lord and claim the blood, and the attacks in my mind stop. This was very insightful to me that reassures me that we all suffer in one way or another, but these situations will bring us closer to the Lord, Amen!!

This may be of use to someone, I don't know, but I'm strongly impressed to relate my experience with a thorn in the flesh. When I saw all the signs converging five years ago I wrote to everybody I know to explain the gospel and to exhort them to believe. Since the moment I began to write, a turn around from the chorus to the verse of an annoying song started to play in my mind, and continues unabated to this very moment. It has nearly driven me insane, and above all the pain and infirmities of a thirty year illness born in childhood trauma and triggered by stress overload in my thirties, it has been the most horrendous affliction to endure. I comfort myself with the eager anticipation of seeing my reward, in whose promises I have trusted for so long. May God continue to uphold you, David, and may He bless abundantly all who find a home away from home here.

I've been listening to you since 2019 and have watched some of this drama around you for a while and finally have to agree that there is a supernatural element to it, especially taking into account how small a channel you have. There's always somebody who wants to put anathema on you. They write they don't understand a word you say. How's that? I understand and Eng is not even my second language. So... Yes, it's ridiculous, supernatural and mostly come from women (my own observation, being a woman myself).

That was very useful to hear; that the only moment Christ is concerned about for me is the present moment. It is such good news to know what we need to focus on, to know what is forever, to know what is the ground we should step on. Because let me tell you, unsaved sinners sure don't know the answers to those questions. Its what give us an edge.
Although, as a babe in Christ, I realize that I typically only know Christ circumstantially. I limit myself to seeing Him only if I attribute Him to what is physically happening to me in this world. When really the knowledge of Christ goes beyond and I can only hope that I get a better sense of what Life is as I press on to what lies ahead. Is it enough to know that the answer is always Christ? I think so. Even though I don't know what that fully means? I think so. Because sometimes just repeating to myself, I know its you Christ, I know its you Christ, helps tremendously. When I think back to the moment I called out to him, I knew no one and nothing else in the entire world could answer the questions I had but Christ. Because all God told me for me to find peace and comfort is tell me that the answer is Christ. And I can't convey what that means but somehow this Spirit that was cloaked upon me DOES understand. I understand spiritually, by some miracle, that the answer is Christ, this man that's much more than just a man, according to the scriptures, is the answer to Life, because He is life. And that's all I need to know now, I don't need to trouble myself by thinking I need to know anything else. But the man according to the holy scriptures.

Amen. I am listening to this a second time. I'm starting to see that just because I have been praying for something for the Lord to take away doesn't mean He will. I have been really struggling with certain things in my life that I know is a spiritual attack. Since making videos I have received persecution from friends and family. Weird demonic dreams and crazy stuff even in my own household. Lots of stuff that I prayed God would just stop because I didn't want to have to go through it.
But im seeing that there are things that we go through because it's all part of Gods purpose and in our weaknesses God tabernacles over us and when we are weak He is strong. There is a growing in Him that comes from these things and It really does tie in with us having this treasure in an earthen ( weak)vessel. Christ IN US .
And it also goes back to the Not I but Christ that lives in me. If we didn't have struggles, the persecutions, or distresses, where would we then go for our strength ? Its during these moments that we realize I really can not do anything apart from Christ
I can do all things through CHRIST who STRENGTHENS me.

I used to think his thorn was everything in one physical emotional and spiritual simultaneously and we’ll never know or we can know he’s definitely not speaking of his eyesight or epilepsy like you said lol. From reading scripture and the context, it absolutely is 💯 right on imho that it’s a messenger of satan and sometimes he was verbally harassed sometimes it was cruel beatings 😩 but I appreciated looking into it and you’re right on per usual agtg.
    Numbers 33:55
    King James Version
55 But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then it shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.
    Joshua 23:13
    King James Version
13 Know for a certainty that the Lord your God will no more drive out any of these nations from before you; but they shall be snares and traps unto you, and scourges in your sides, and thorns in your eyes, until ye perish from off this good land which the Lord your God hath given you.
    Judges 2:3
    King James Version
3 Wherefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be as thorns in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare unto you.
With that in mind, we see that Paul actually states what his thorn in the flesh was. Paul's thorn in the flesh was a messenger of Satan who was sent to buffet him.
    2 Corinthians 12:7-9
    King James Version
7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
    Acts 13:49-52
    King James Version
49 And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region.
50 But the Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coasts.
51 But they shook off the dust of their feet against them, and came unto Iconium.
52 And the disciples were filled with joy, and with the Holy Ghost.
14 And it came to pass in Iconium, that they went both together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spake, that a great multitude both of the Jews and also of the Greeks believed.
2 But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds evil affected against the brethren.
3 Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.
4 But the multitude of the city was divided: and part held with the Jews, and part with the apostles.
5 And when there was an assault made both of the Gentiles, and also of the Jews with their rulers, to use them despitefully, and to stone them,
6 They were ware of it, and fled unto Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and unto the region that lieth round about:
7 And there they preached the gospel.
    Acts 14:19 kjv

19 And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the people, and having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead.
    Acts 16:22 kjv
22 And the multitude rose up together against them: and the magistrates rent off their clothes, and commanded to beat them.
    Acts 17:10-15 10 kjv

10 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.
11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
12 Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.
13 But when the Jews of Thessalonica had knowledge that the word of God was preached of Paul at Berea, they came thither also, and stirred up the people.
14 And then immediately the brethren sent away Paul to go as it were to the sea: but Silas and Timotheus abode there still.
15 And they that conducted Paul brought him unto Athens: and receiving a commandment unto Silas and Timotheus for to come to him with all speed, they departed.
    Acts 20:23
    King James Version
23 Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me.
    Acts 21:27-36
    King James Version
27 And when the seven days were almost ended, the Jews which were of Asia, when they saw him in the temple, stirred up all the people, and laid hands on him,
28 Crying out, Men of Israel, help: This is the man, that teacheth all men every where against the people, and the law, and this place: and further brought Greeks also into the temple, and hath polluted this holy place.
29 (For they had seen before with him in the city Trophimus an Ephesian, whom they supposed that Paul had brought into the temple.)
30 And all the city was moved, and the people ran together: and they took Paul, and drew him out of the temple: and forthwith the doors were shut.
31 And as they went about to kill him, tidings came unto the chief captain of the band, that all Jerusalem was in an uproar.
32 Who immediately took soldiers and centurions, and ran down unto them: and when they saw the chief captain and the soldiers, they left beating of Paul.
33 Then the chief captain came near, and took him, and commanded him to be bound with two chains; and demanded who he was, and what he had done.
34 And some cried one thing, some another, among the multitude: and when he could not know the certainty for the tumult, he commanded him to be carried into the castle.
35 And when he came upon the stairs, so it was, that he was borne of the soldiers for the violence of the people.
36 For the multitude of the people followed after, crying, Away with him.
    1 Corinthians 4
he uses the same word in Greek as buffet (here translated "beaten").

    1 Corinthians 4
    King James Version
4 Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.
2 Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.
3 But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man's judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self.
4 For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.
5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.
6 And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes; that ye might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another.
7 For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?
8 Now ye are full, now ye are rich, ye have reigned as kings without us: and I would to God ye did reign, that we also might reign with you.
9 For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men.
10 We are fools for Christ's sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised.
    11 Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace;
12 And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it:
13 Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day.
14 I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn you.
15 For though ye have ten thousand instructers in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.
16 Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me.
17 For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church.
18 Now some are puffed up, as though I would not come to you.
19 But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord will, and will know, not the speech of them which are puffed up, but the power.
20 For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.
21 What will ye? shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love, and in the spirit of meekness?

      2 Corinthians 6
      King James Version
6 We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.
2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
3 Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:
4 But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,
      5 In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings;
6 By pureness, by knowledge, by long suffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned,
7 By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,
      8 By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true;
      9 As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed;
10 As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
11 O ye Corinthians, our mouth is open unto you, our heart is enlarged.
12 Ye are not straitened in us, but ye are straitened in your own bowels.
13 Now for a recompence in the same, (I speak as unto my children,) be ye also enlarged.
14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
      2 Corinthians 11:25 kjv
25 Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep;

Hi David, I enjoyed your video and my understanding agrees with you mostly. I would be careful not to discount the worth of mature Christians praying over a believer for deliverance and added protection. I experienced a big change in my life thanks to God working through the body in that manner, but it was done in His timing as I believe I needed to go through counseling, rest, and the right medications. Spiritual warfare continues for me, as it does for all of us, but I do believe there is a time and place for deliverance. It also helped to change my point of view, as I now see my trials as God using me rather than being punished for past mistakes or inadequacies. Sorry if I misunderstood your video

I believe that there is profit to being in fellowship with Believers and lifting each other up in prayer however the Lord won't let you use it as a substitute for proper faith. And also discovering in fellowship with him what are the boundaries for your life

Oh for sure, it should only be done for a believer, who already has the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Some deliverance ministries are steeped in legalism, but we as the body of Christ can pray for such things and I believe God will do it. An important part of it is being in the faith, I agree. Thanks for responding to my comment David

Yeah when I'm talking about a thorn in the flesh though I'm really talking about recognizing the sovereignty of God. Especially when it comes to Ministry. Paul's Thorn In the Flesh was not a personal weakness it was an assault on the gospel everywhere he went. There are certain things that we just accept as part of our calling and we recognize that God's power is perfected in weakness. When we feel weakest is often when his power is working the most mightily

The pharasies thought Jesus was possessed and that he was blasphemous they didn't believe him neither they think He was the son of God. So imagine how would it be like for the believer!!. If God didn't allow you to go through trials and attacks and a rollercoaster of bad experiences you wouldn't have the experience nor perhaps the gift of braking down the scriptures in such a way that people receive it with a supernatural understanding of what you are trying to convey, your videos are usually a black screen or a background of your cellphone yet we can sit here and just listen for hours if we could and be spiritually filled by the end of the video and thats the work of God. Where have you seen such a thing happening in the age of internet/TH-cam/tick tock? That is God work in you and through us, and we are the church that maybe even Paul had seen in revelation so it all comes together.

I kind of dislike the experience of weakness/painful situation right now because I feel tired and at the moment I don't really want comfort rather situational quietness or ease. I completely get that the High Priest still is, and the Spirit is as well, I just don't feel like it right now. I know He'll show up at some point with the same comforts that I don't currently want though.

hey david with all respect in love, my understanding the messenger from satan sent to buffet paul for the abundance of the revelation that God gave him, was a messager from satan not God. "my grace is sufficient", is the power of Christ to overcome , not accept it. for paul's strength is made perfect in weakness by trusting in His grace and not his own strength. ... "thorn in the flesh" makes me think the messager of satan was a person in the flesh like in numbers 33:55 "thorn in their sides" were people .. please help me see were im wrong brother ... peace+love>

That's what I said. Everywhere he went there were people that stirred up problems for him. But it was a spirit behind the people.

    • @davidbenjamininchrist

But in principle we are in weakness. The Thorn In the Flesh is not the main point the point is accepting God's Sovereign Arrangement and realizing that we don't get delivered from all of our situations. In fact God actually brings us into weakness and no we don't have to resist it all the time. People make themselves more miserable trying to resist everything than just building themselves to the Lord and resting and being content. Some things we can pray and see a delivering other things we realize overtime and through the Lord's Revelation that this is part of the deal for us.

He didn't remove it. And I believe Christ as head over all things to the church. Everything we go through he allows and work together for our good. He setd limits on how much things can impact us but he uses it all.

Paul clearly teaches in second Corinthians and throughout his ministry that he was partaking of the afflictions of Christ for the building up of the body and that this was necessary for him to be brought through these things in order to be constituted with the New Testament Ministry. If you have not heard my second Corinthians playlist or have not studied 2nd Corinthians you won't have this view. The Superficial View is that God is a good god and wouldn't let bad things happen to his children. But the New Testament Minister's view is that God brings his Steward's into hardships and Affliction by his leading in order that they would experience his Comforts so that they would become a treasure House of comfort in order to comfort others with the covers they've received from God and it becomes their Ministry. If you isolate The Thorn In the Flesh and try to analyze what that is and don't read 2nd Corinthians chapter 1 through 6 where he clearly tells us from the very beginning that the father of mercies and the God of All Comfort has comforted him in afflictions that he brought him in to Sovereign way in order to produce the New Testament Ministry then you're going to miss the point entirely. Argue about The Thorn In the Flesh and wonder if it's from God as if Paul didn't just say everything he said in those chapters is frankly silly and short-sighted. But I understand why people do it and it's because they have an aversion to the notion of caring about in our body to die of the Lord Jesus and even being delivered over to death for Jesus sake because they think that that would mean suffering but what it actually means is comforts
