For the first time, I saw thr sinulog dance being danced the same way those candle sellers in the church are doing it at 4:25 - 4:37.upper body forward and the lower body is backward, knees bent and danced in a bouncy way. And even though it is not that typical sinulog dance that has a ballerina type of grace like Sinanduloy and Carcar have been doing well these past few years, I find it unique and beautiful. As a Carcaranon, I feel proud.

AS for talisay, Set design and costume ang naka nindot sa ila. Maka wow gyud ka sa ilang pyesa run maski mejo basic ang choreography. Isa pud, ilang dancers run mas nag nindot ang movement.

Yes, hinay and graceful rajud sa carcar kay kung paspason nila, naa napud mucomment nga nangopya sa sinanduloy since fast paced jud na ang steppings sa sinanduloy. so i think ila na na gimaintain para at least dili kaayo iattack sa bashers.
Sinulog has two categories: free interpretation and Sinulog-based. Carcar's performance is under Sinulog-based category. What's the difference of the two is mainly seen thru the costumes of the performers. In FI, tribal costumes are seen meanwhile in SB, it should be Philippine Folk Dance costume (i.e. Maria Clara suite or Visayan costume). In terms of delivery, FI has more complicated dance steps compared to SB that should reflect the basic dance steps of Sinulog which is two-steos forward and one-step backward.

Diyan muna sumasali ang mga contingents within Cebu City and Cebu province. In Lalawigan, towns and cities of Cebu province (excluding Cebu City) are joining to secure a spot in the Grand Parade. Meanwhile, barangays within Cebu City are joining Sinulog sa Barangay also to secure a spot in the Grand Parade. Pero this year yata if I'm not mistaken, lahat ng sumali sa Lalawigan and Barangay regardless of placements ay pinasali sa Grand Parade. Out-of-town contingents (outside Cebu) will automatically join in the Grand Parade.
Sa carcar karun. Nawala ang aliw factor sa carcar. The concept is there.. ang aliw factor lng jud na pirmi nako mabantayan sa mga niaaging performance sa carcar
I witnessed not only the performance of the contingents but also the reactions of the audience. And if you were there or at least watched this video, you would know that they were more applauded than the champion contingent. Their performance was as close to perfection, that made them memorable than others. So, aliw factor is not needed this time. I am not discounting the efforts of Talisay City because I myself thought that they deserve the title for this year's Sinulog sa Kabataan sa Lalawigan just because the storyline is better/clearer than that of Carcar's. Sa concept, walay lalis sir. Mas klaro gyud ang sa Talisay maong nakadaog nasad sila this year. Dali ra gyud sya makuha sa audience not bec relatable sya sa kadaghanan but because nindot lang gyud pagkahan.ay ang story. Dili sad sya tungod kay naa kay relative nga namatyan or napriso maong maka ingon ta nga nice ang concept or not. For me, the way it was portrayed lang gyud and Talisay did it well than the others.
