Last year's Pasigarbo sa Sugbo was a shameful defeat dili tungod kay from being officially declared as the champion nahimong 6th place nalang, kundili tungod sa mga estorya nga nanikas ug nang sabotahe. Gidawat sa Carcar ang iyang kapildihan pero dili ang mga estoryang walay kamatuoran.
Sa hataas nga katuigan gihulma sa Carcar iyang dungog, apan sa usa ka pagpamilok gi tamay-tamay ug gi sayon-sayon lang siya pagbira paubos.
Now, Carcar gracefully responded through the power of dance, powerful enough to successfully pinch that crown. It made its way to the top AGAIN but never was like a crab.
May this be a lesson sa tanan: "Mulambo kita pinaagi sa pagbayaw sa uban".
Carcar you've raised the bar high. Padayon sa paglambo ug padayon sa paghatag ug maundanon nga pasundayag.

This is a major glow-up Carcar. Nakita nako ang influence ni Sir Monto. Nindot kaayo pagkacollaborate ninyo tanan. Unta next year glow up gihapon. Best in story telling gyud ang Carcar bisag unsa-on. Nag start ug Title sa Story nag end ug Moral lesson. Grabi. Pang anak TV award ang salida. Di gyud siya maingon na sayaw ra. Salida gyud siya. The Symbolism of crabs, throne, ladder. Looking forward sa another grear story next year Carcar. Kamo ang bugtong nipatigbabaw sa sangka sa kusog.
Nakabawi gyud ning mga taga Carcar karong Sinulog sa Kabataan Lalawigan 2024 human gitamay og gisungog na nanikas pag Pasigarbo Sa Sugbo 2023. Good job ninyo mga Carcar kiddos. One vote from me!
Now I know how Carcar surpassed that bombastic performance of Mandaue and Talisay’s wise entry, it's because the concept was HEARTFELT and an EPITOME OF MOST FILIPINOS.
We can compare this to a children’s story book wherein there’s a major conflict or concept that something is wrong and that the sequencial pattern of the story makes an answer to right the wrong. The performance started with a title, “The One, True Power” and ended with a moral lesson, “We rise by lifting others.”
As I can see here, the concept is about Crab Mentality, and it’s brilliant to begin the performance with a simple folklore and depict the concept with imagery. Instead of using narration and overrated acting clichés like most contingents did, THEY DANCED. YES, THEY DANCED TO TELL A CERTAIN STORY, IT'S MY FIRST TIME TO SEE SOMETHING LIKE THAT!
Other than the exceptional concept delivery, the costumes and THAT SYMPHONIC ENSEMBLE ALSO CARRIED THAT PERFORMANCE! I love their rendition of the folk song, “Tong-Tong-Tong Pakitong-Kitong”, and IT'S LITERALLY A SONG ABOUT CRABS SO IT ADDS UP ON THE DETAILS. As for the costume, the change costume never dies and still one of the most prominent methods of costume mechanism in the Sinulog Festival.
THIS PERFORMANCE WAS A BLAST, AND I CAN'T WAIT FOR THEM IN THE SINULOG BASED CATEGORY! LET'S SEE IF THEY'LL TAKE BACK THEIR CROWN.
They will not join in the Mardi Gras. None from Sinulog sa Lalawigan group will join😊

Ang concept jud is tungod sa greed for power sa mga tao, buhaton ang tanan paras mas motaas ang posisyon kaysa sa uban bahalag magbirahanay pa na diha (crab mentality). Pero nalimtan na ang ONE TRUE POWER is ang power nga gihuptan ni Sto. Niño. Maong sa end bisan nag gusto ka musaka, pwede man nga dili mistil mangbira paubos sa lain, instead pwede nimo ituboy sila pataas.

Unless the rules of the Aliwan fiesta are revised, Carcar City or any participating contingent from outside Cebu City cannot represent Sinulog. Since Aliwan's purpose is to give exposure to local festivals in the Philippines, any joining contingent must represent their own festival. If ever Carcar City decides to send a contingent in Aliwan, they will represent Kabkaban Festival. This festival is equally competitive, since it has garnered three championships in Pasigarbo Sa Sugbo and was awarded bronze in Powerful Daegu Festival 2023.

Ang uban gi paagi og grandiose props and lights. Kani sakto lang jud balance sa dance and props. Di jud lalisan ang choreography aning Carcar, top notch! Gi daog sad sa Carcar ang CONCEPT like first time in Sinulog history na naay ing ani na concept very unique. And as always, the musicality is so good. It adds up to the whole performance. They are the CHAMPION, period! way lalis!

If I remember correctly, Carcar City started the choir trend in Sinulog, aside from the throwing of doves. So I guess Carcar City has always been true to its own brand of Sinulog.
San ung cheerdance jan beh? May sinulog songs naman sa music nila wala namang binago. Nasa contingents na yan kung pano nila pagandahin yung kanilang musicality.

Its a show of devotion of the blessed young Jesus Christ. We are not just praying to an idol or a piece of wood and stone, we are praying to Jesus himself and nothing more. These images of christ is our way of expressing that god is accessible and always among us. What I've learned reading the BIBLE, THE TORAH and the QUR'AN, you should not take some words of the scriptures literally. Why? because these scriptures are written from a different time and values and tradition have already changed. In the TORAH for the jews for example (which is the bible is based) there are scriptures that said "The High Priest must marry a virgin - Mitzvot 171(Leviticus 21:13)", "Not to eat milk and meat cooked together - Mitzvot 195 (Exodus 23:19), "The rapist must marry the maiden" Mitzvot 132 (Deuteronomy 22:29). These scriptures are absurd in today's standards.
The "idols" that the TORAH and the BIBLE is referring to at that time is those who worship the stars, lightning, nature like rock, water etc. If you want to play semantics, tell me a scripture from the bible and the torah that said we cannot worship an object with the likeness of JESUS CHRIST. ill wait and i will be happy to be corrected.
