- On Saturday 26th October shoppers at the Eastgate Shopping Centre in Inverness got an "unforgettable" surprise. Watch what happened when we launched the 2013 Scottish Poppy Appeal there.
A beautiful city. From New Zealand and Australia a wonderful tribute to your own and all those who fought and died and returned to free us from the shackles of war.
As an old soldier that was the most magnificent salute I have ever seen and heard in honour of our military. Thank you all who worked on this programme you are to be appreciated for the memories you have awakened in us all.
That's what I call national culture! Congretulations, Scotland! Hats off from Germany! We are ONE Europe! Different nations, different languages, different histories - but ONE heart!

For a small country we have given the world so much - television, the telephone, ships, locomotives, engineering, steam engines,kaleidoscpoes, refrigerators, penecillin, bicycles, toasters, golf, tyres, etc etc etc

thats amazing. that had to have been really hard to keep up with each other with the echo in the building. unless there were directors keeping up with each other where the pipers and drummers could all see.
