      Thanks again David Fye III. Appreciate the feedback. Maybe I'll see you on a course in the future. Great technique which seemly integrates into traditional firearms training.

    Ask Super Dave about how their evaluation of the CAR system went when they evaluated it at US Army Special Forces.

    • @NaturalTactical
      @NaturalTactical  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Edward Limoges, if you’d like to set up an email introduction I’d be happy to speak to your friend. Especially if I hear how the system was evaluated.

    Awesome videos! Just bought my first handgun and plan to use it as a home defense weapon. I'm a Correctional Officer and our combat training greatly resembles CAR. But I'm confused on how to exactly place my hands around the weapon itself. Could you perhaps do a video, or link me to one, that shows the very basics on hand placement, etc.?

      Thomas Peranteau thank you for commenting and thank you for your service. Please feel free to email me and we can discuss this a little more not in an open forum. My contact information is in the about section of this TH-cam channel.

    Interesting how people will make unsubstantiated attacks on a system they’ve not trained with.......I’m slowly employing this method in the limited training I’m able to do.......I believe it is an excellent method for home defense

      Hello Walter, thanks for commenting. Please check out our website for several articles as well as interviews to help you learn the system properly as best you can. Stay safe hopefully we will train together in person soon.

      Ah yes, the Bullet and Blade Symposiums were fun. The first time bringing Kelly Worden and Paul Castle together into 3 days of training from top level instructors. Amazing to see how far the program and our skills have come since then.

      iNuBe's Thank you for your comment. It is very hard to describe without seeing the training but I simply shoot the most optimal way for the situation. CAR has Isosceles/Weaver in it it’s just a matter of using it when it is best. I hope that makes sense contextually?

    Im sure there will be some moron out there putting the firearm to close to the face. People should be warned regarding the distance to keep the firearm from the face. The slide might just knock the eye or teeth out. Anyway Great technique!!! Looking forward to learn more about this.

      FIREARMS TESTLAB thank you for commenting. Yes it is possible to do though there have only been brushed EGOs!
      I am constantly walking the line between showing open source videos that have enough information for people to make an educated decision about getting more training but not be open source education material as bad people knowing the technique would be disastrous.
      Thanks again for the comment, take care train safe!

      the slide moves back like half an inch!!! OMG do you even shoot or know what a modern firearm looks like?

    The car system is absolutely the best system and its the only thing we should be teaching our wives and daughters, the old way of holding the gun away or down from the body is completely dangerous, the attacker can easily grab their arm and wrestle the gun away, then your daughters attacker has a gun pointed to her head so she is as good as raped and dead. Teach them to keep the gun close to the chest close to the body, so if an attacker even reaches for it, its 2 shots into the attacker. we need to teach them right, the old way will just get them killed. I dont get why someone you critics are so worried about the recoil? Whats more important avoiding recoil or not getting raped and murdered?

    • @NaturalTactical
      @NaturalTactical  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Lin Y thanks for sharing your thoughts. I definitely agree CAR offers you the Best weapon protection and retention skills we have ever seen. As for the people criticizing recoil, they either have no idea what they’re talking about or were showing the system from someone who didn’t. Felt recoil reduction is one of the most obvious benefits of the system other than the weapon protection. Stay safe, hope to train with you.

    Sir, loving the new videos! It's amazing how what you teach mirrors my own experiences...JKD/Wing Chun, CAR. Speaking of CAR, I'm new to the system (took the online course) but haven't had a chance to make it to in-person training. Do you ever plan to produce a DVD or an updated online course?
    Also, that looks like a nice low profile holster for your Glock. May I ask what it is?
    Thank you!

    • @NaturalTactical

      Hello Carlton and thank you for commenting. As I am sure you know I too shoot the way I do because it is how I move which is heavily based on martial arts.
      Yes I am going to re-do the eLearning course with the new position names in it. As for doing a video on CAR I have been asked before but have not put it on my list yet. What would you like a DVD to have in it content wise?
      For holsters and body armor I look no further than www.phalanxsystems.com/ The DKX armor will stop multiple 7.62mm rounds! They have concealment systems that you can covertly cary etc.
      Especially the Stealth Operator Holster which holds 60+ types of firearms www.stealthoperator.com/Stealth-Operator-Compact.html
      I will have to do a quick video on their products, here is a video on the armor th-cam.com/video/oIjFHV1qgD4/w-d-xo.html.
      Thanks again for commenting. Please contact me via email/phone about training, I have several dates scheduled for next year.
      Jeff

    This system is the best for close quarters combat or real life self defense distances. Won't help you out in a target shooting competition

    • @NaturalTactical
      @NaturalTactical  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      thanks for commenting, I certainly agree with your statement.
      The originator, Paul Castle was a high level competition shooter. He used his “Apogee” position to win the NATO pistol championships twice among other matches. He used some very nice pistols and had a few unique techniques including a way of interlacing a couple fingers to help isolate trigger movement.

    But shooting this close to ur eyes without eye protection? In real life i think it will be not possible.

    • @NaturalTactical
      @NaturalTactical  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hello, I do not understand at all what eye protection has to do with it. Absolutely, eye protection is a preference we would like you to always have in but it has nothing to do at all with the compressed shooting position. Only with objects coming back at you from walls/shot barricades, glass from inside the vehicle, etc. Stay safe.

    The slide hit your glasses 😂 not like you need that eye in a gunfight anyway, right?

      Thanks for the laugh, since I was there and since it was filmed its pretty obvious that did not happen. If you are not going to add to the discussion on close quarter firearms technique or teaching principles don't bother commenting. Stay safe.

    “Sorry bout that one...” lol you missed a man sized target at 1 yard.

      Nice job on missing the humor! All shots in the target. Combined with your other comment I'll ask you add to the discussion or not bother commenting.

    No, just no. You have pistol sights, use them. This falls apart in real life application and when stress tested in force on force against an adversary who is allowed free reign.

    • @NaturalTactical
      @NaturalTactical  6 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Edward Limoges, thanks for your opinion.
      We have found the opposite to be true when properly trained in this system. Though the key would be proper training both in the technique and in the overriding principle of proper reality-based training.
      The, literally thousands, of law-enforcement and military who have been Properly trained in over six countries have been able to find and maintain surprising successes, especially at sudden, close quarter combat.
      Stay safe.
