🤠Howdy Steve, Just what you needed since you use the bike rack so much. That pinch weld bracket, the backing plate and reinforcing channel looks like a great upgrade to the rack/attchment. Does this increase the load rating for the rack? For say 2 electric bikes? It seems like it would.
Hey Mark,. Agree, all were great upgrades. I reached out to Black River and heard back this morning. The official answer is: "the weight rating is still 100 pounds". In essence, the pinch weld bracket and left leg support are upgrades necessitated by FCA's manufacturing change on the Promaster, specifically changing/reducing/eliminating the spot welds on the door skins. Ooverloading the bike rack can result in damage to rack and/or van door as well as cause a loss of bicycle(s) somewhere on the road! I also learned that Black River recommends/warns that users should check and tighten the connecting hand nuts each time you fuel up or at end of the trip. This MAY be covered in the Winnebago owners manual but I don't recall seeing it.
