I am brazilian and - overall - I tend to agree with you:
1)- You touched the main point...the lack of mutual trust among BRICS member countries. There is a lot of conflict of interests, and not only of an economic nature.
2)- It is hard to take seriously a "BRICS Bank" where Mrs. Dilma Rousseff is "elected" as President. No further comments...this "lady" is the proof one should never give up (brazilian nationals will understand). 👹
3)- Other than that, BRICS countries companies can draw their invoices in any currency of their choice, but I think BCB (Brazilian Central Bank) - regardless of L da Silva's bravados - is still keeping most of its international reserves expressed in USD, EUR, AU (Gold Bullion) AR (Silver) etc....the USD isn't going anywhere in the short term...

Problem w BRICS is you have to demonstrate protecting individuals liberties which none of those countries demonstrate. This is why the U. S is falling because it has slowly but steadily eroded what was to separate it from everyone else which is why people are still pouring in the U.S as it’s falling
You have to start w individual liberties that are protected and the original formation of a Constitutional Republic created that atmosphere. You had immigrants coming to America w beautiful success stories.
Now let’s look at recent events in China for example….why we’re banking citizens beaten up last year for wanting access to their savings after the real estate collapse there.
How many raids occurred in Chinas financial districts citing billions in fraud
Why all the ghost cities after buying more steel than anyone when locals are living in office buildings that are 95% vacant?
Russia: how is that country protecting individual liberties?
Saudi Arabia: Does that country protect Everyone’s civil liberties? Of course not
America got in trouble and past presidents have died fighting outside wicked policy makers that have done things for private interest in the name of American citizens whose freedoms have slowly been eroded w the help of staged crisis….it’s an old playbook
In the end however freedom and liberty is what separates a nation against other nations
Let’s see how it plays out

Most of FDI in India comes from western countries. BRICS market isolation might just be a major disaster for both India and China, despite how tired the world is of US meddling everywhere.

I think if India can help in these two sectors it can create a market to sell to other b,r,c,s nations but lol no country can match a consumer like USA. It still needs to go a long way. @@JupiterAscending2 Probably USD and Euro will only be traded in North America and Europe. China has demonstrated that it can supply most of the engineering needs of countries and Russia on military equipment and others with pharmaceutical , food etc with local currencies. Furthermore the world has seen that any country can be sanctioned and their money seized. They have the opportunity to determine the terms of trade without borrowing from international institutions and collaboration of the countries concern has started in real goods and services, Dependency is there to accept the terms of trade of 2 parties for mutual benefits. But Brics currency based on precious metals might be taking off. Many countries have become bankrupt due to the western economic system.
If India wants to deal with USD/Euro it is up to India but its domestic politics and foreign policies will be determine by the west. It can be seen India is just a fence sitter as its dependence on the trade with west is important. It has not taken any position on anything thus far preferring neutrality which is infact a sign of weakness. There are many Asian giants outpacing India. The only credence given to India by the west is to use it for geo political purpose due to its military size and location. India could not determine the outcome in Afghanistan. So it is better for India to fit into Asia for long term stability instead of attempting to please a distant power.

    • @JupiterAscending2
      @JupiterAscending2 ปีที่แล้ว +20

@@mohamadazamabdullah4191 Your first sentence indicates that you don't know anything about international trade. The USD and Euro will never be traded only between North America and Europe. That is a silly and ridiculous statement. US has trade with pretty much every country on the planet, including all BRICS countries except Russia after they invaded Ukraine. When that happens, guess what currency is used, USD. The same with EU. Russia military equipment is junk. They look good on paper but when put in combat situation, many of them failed and destroyed by superior weapons used by NATO countries being used by Ukraine. India, Russia's large military customer, is taking notice. Russia is sanctioned because it invaded Ukraine, which is a sovereign country which yearns for European integration. It is better that Russia is sanctioned by the western allies, to force it to stop the war. Rather than there is a direct military confrontation. Infrastructure projects funded by China are shrouded in secrecy. There is no transparency. We know at least two countries have gone bankrupt, Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Guess who bailed/bailing them out? Not China, but IMF. What is BRICS currency? Nothing. At this point, it is a vaporware. No country has enough gold to peg their currency to it. So BRICS currency backed by gold is a wishful thinking. India is China's rival. It is in its strategic interest to work together with western allies to contain its rival. India is an independent country and not a close ally with western countries. It is also close with Russia. That's geopolitics. It refuses to condemn Russia's invasion of Ukraine. India has nothing to do with Afghanistan. You should check your geography. Perhaps, you meant Pakistan, another India's rival. There are no Asian giants outpacing India either. India sit at number 3 based on its GDP. Only China and Japan are larger than India.

@@JupiterAscending2 You are ignorant in that you prefer to follow the western propaganda with surface level rhetoric. The cut and throw policy in Afghanistan would have created a thunderball in central asia and south asia had Russia and China not intervened timely to help the new regime to stabilize the situation. What is the 3rd highest GDP that u are talking when GDP per capita is so low in India, which means that majority are still very poor, probably enslaved. The west is trying to pit India and China, probably this 2 countries have another plan other than being belligerent with each other outwardly but being together on many other facets. This is to hoodwink the western empire ie to procure all their help and being vigilant on the real motives. The whole world is with Russia at the moment but due to the possibility of sanctions their gov might have voted with the west or remained neutral. The west should be isolated to Europe, North Amrika and their other stolen colonies since history has proven that they are a diabolic belligerent race. Kindly read world history from the 16th century. The economic theory of today gives them an economic hegemony over the work, that is why there is a natural inclination to Brics. The Brics currency might include oil, gold , silver ,platinum etc depending on the agreement between member states. Countries are aware there is a resurgence in neo colonism and they do not want to be enslaved. . Probably Indians like you aspire desperately for green card and recite the mantra Amrika, Amrika, Amrika all day along which prevents any logical discourse with anyone with differing views. When you said that india has nothing to do with Afghanistan, means you do not have anything in depth about the consequences of Afghanistan being unstable. Non state actors will use it as platform to terrorize other neighbouring states which is what Amrika wants The west prospers when others are in chaos, this is the basic theory of capitalism, and to hide it they shout about 'freedom and democracy' which is actually ' enslavement and colonialism'. You better read a lot on the writings of Prof Jeffrey Sachs or Prof Richard Wolfs before being thrown into a protracted state of ignorance about the world. Saddeningly the upper, middle class, and the oligarchs of India have treated the majority poor Indians as slaves. There are ramifications for this ie a sudden revolt could emerge if they are organized. This has happened in France.

They are also located next to each other geographically. Perfect for close co-operations among the member countries. However, getting 27 countries to work together proof to be very challenging. Brics is trying to create a bancor system for international trade. All countries using the system maintain there sovereign currency. The only reason brics might fail is cause of war with the USA. Every brics country has one thing incomon hate for the global reserve currency of today and how international trade is pegged to said currency. To understand what brics is doing look into Jon Maynard Keynes proposal at Breton woods.

India 🇮🇳 is probably the main factor for the possible fail or many even collapse for BRICS. China 🇨🇳 is a member & the biggest contributor to the alliance but India 🇮🇳 & China 🇨🇳 don't really get along that well, they do trade goods between each other but they each give the side eye to each other. China 🇨🇳 recently allied themselves to Pakistan 🇵🇰, India's 🇮🇳 #1 Rival & Enemy. India 🇮🇳 is also a close ally with the United States 🇺🇸 & seeks out support from them. India 🇮🇳 is already in a couple military alliances with the West & India 🇮🇳 is well one track to becoming a close Non-NATO ally. Brazil 🇧🇷 is also a big crack in their system because Brazil 🇧🇷 is allied with the United States 🇺🇸 & is also is in military alliances with the West. South Africa 🇿🇦 too. They're are allied with the West too.

The cooperation among the BRICS has been a reality for some 25 years now. It's just now that other countries (and their 'analysts') have discovered this reality. During this period, for instance, Brazil external trading with China has turned the Chinese the most important economic partner of Brazil by a large amount. Trade between Brazil and China is twice as bigger as the trade with the EU, and almost three times the trade with the U.S. BTW the trading share of both the EU and the U.S. keep falling in Brazilian external trade. The amount of trade Brazil keeps with South and Central America is at the same level as the U.S.. During this period Brazil has also used fundings from the BRICS bank instead of the World Bank, and needed no money from the IMF. Another issue many people doesn't know is that cooperation on scientific research has been going stronger with China and Russia during this period, including the involvement of Brazilian researchers and students with Chinese and Russian universities during this period. Maybe for many who are acquainted with this situation it might be a surprise but the ties among the BRICS countries have been growing steadily through all these years.

BRICS has been a dream that will never happen. China is a failing system with the worst demographics in the world. They will collapse due to this. They also are known to manipulate their money.

The rejuvenation of the working age children will take too long and the country can't sustain economically during this period. This is the problem with authoritarian regimes that do anything to maintain control. The hard pressed decisions they make affect the population. China has had not only the one child policy but also famines and severe economic inequality. The younger generation is also the most liberated China has ever seen. "The BRICS Has Overtaken The G7 In Global GDP
The India-based Megh Updates platform, one of the world’s largest online informational platforms in terms of views, has stated that BRICS countries have officially overtaken G7 in share of world PPP GDP, and that this trend can be expected to continue.
The current BRICS five now contribute 31.5% of global GDP, while the G7 share has fallen to 30%. The BRICS is expected to contribute over 50% of global GDP by 2030, with the proposed enlargement almost certainly bringing that forward. China’s GDP actually overtook that of the United States in 2015 when comparing economies in purchasing parity terms."

Back in the 1970s China was a very different country and 100% was not considered a modern economy. However, rather than expanding the G7, the G20 was created instead to allow more members to join as well as allow countries with larger differences in ideology and governance to collaborate. This regional point of view is best seen in how the ownership in these institutions is split as it is all split evenly amongst the BRICS members ie ownership of the New Development Bank each member owns 25% this does not disregard geopolitical interests of the member countries.

Despite very clear differences in culture, religion and geopolitics BRICS represent something that it is missing today in the current system : fairness.
When it comes to it the differences tend to go away, though they still will remain; we are all equals, but not the same.
The trick, that has been clearly learned by the past systems, it is insure that if every member of a system is treated with respect for their needs, everyone will benefit.
Resources from impoverished nations traded keeping in mind their regional needs, will insure a steady supply of needed goods somewhere else.
This is exactly that is happening now when China, a very powerful country in the international scheme, is helping to develop the infrastructure of their trading partners, something that didn't happen before.
BRICS will only will fail if their members remain as corrupt as they have been for several generations.
Fairness in trade includes development in the entire world, something that is missing today, simply because the idea of keeping your trade partners poor to take advantage of what they can give at low cost, only enrich a few, which in turn makes your supplier dangerously unstable.
This new organisation shows that the world is ready for change an it is unstoppable.

Plus it's about land also now a matter of pride and principal. So india and China will never be friends more or less mutual allies

BRICS will fail at what exactly ? If they ARE, they don't fail, because being a group that cooperate on this or that level is an achievement enough at this point. Funny how countries are lining up to join... This was a pretty shallow 4 minutes pseudo-analysis in my opinion. So if BRICS doesn't reach "peak impact" nothing is possible ? Well you'll see the list of interested countries would dilute this India-China competition the video is relying on to grasp for relevance. And please note non-Western countries are able to comprehend partial opposition AND cooperation at the same time. * mind blown * p.s. I won't give any thumb down to this video because at least it's talking about an important subject.

When the two countries in question make up 85%-90% of the BRICS' economy and population then yes, it is fundamental that both countries get on well for the BRICS to succeed. Without them the BRICS has just as much economic weight as California, a lot but not a superpower :)
