I've been living in Vancouver for 4 years now and I'm considering moving to Toronto. For me, Vancouver is simply too small and relaxed and I also prefer snow over rain
I'm thinking of moving to Vancouver. Is the rain really that bad? I heard it's only for 4 months
@@lnejavi It’s sunny every day from middle of June to middle of September and then for the rest of the year there is a lot of rain. I would say most of those rainy months are okay because it doesn’t rain every day and the rain is never heavy(it’s mostly drizzling rain) but January and February are really bad. During those 2 months it can rain absolutely every day
@@Joe-cy5hm So when people do the outdoorsy nature activities in Vancouver, is it mostly concentrated in the summer? I wonder if this contributes to why people think it's hard to make friends in Vancouver. I still want to see it for myself, but I'm just curious
@@lnejavi Yes, for the most part but there are people that do stuff even in bad weather. Most people only stick to skiing/snowboarding during winter so popular summer spots like Kitsilano beach or English bay are completely empty during that time
Hey Joe! Toronto's ready to welcome you with open arms and a snowball in each hand. We're a bit less "zen" and more "caffeine-fueled rush." Time to trade those rain boots for snow boots!
Well researched and useful information. I recommend this channel for anyone who is interested in getting up to date insights into urban living in Canada.

Your concise yet generous presentation equally helps to decide now and visualize the long-term future here and there.. You do justice to both! Bravo!
Thank you for your kind words! Toronto or Vancouver is a tough choice, like picking between poutine and maple syrup. 🇨🇦
@@LivingInTorontoCA Such a mouth-watering metaphor, I couldn't hold myself from searching both delicacies! You are most welcome, your verdict truly ended my dilemma. I'm coming, Toronto!
@@KhalilGdoura Toronto is ready to welcome you with open arms! 🤗
I moved to Toronto from Vancouver this year, Toronto is just much better than Vancouver in many many ways.
Sad part is Toronto home price is the same as Vancouver, some area even pricier than Van.
Welcome to Toronto! Thanks for sharing your experience! It's great to hear you're enjoying the city. Housing prices can be a challenge, but it's the vibrant tapestry of life here that makes it special.
This will be me hopefully in a few years, I visited and while it does not have majestic mountains or ocean, all the things Toronto offers as well as the bigger/better/ festivals and events that Toronto offers as well as other amazing places in the GTA like Clifton hill which seems like an ideal place to escape from the hustle and bustle of Toronto once or twice a year. And yeah while homes are just as expensive, it it well worth the price and fulfilment to one day own in Toronto as well as fully enjoy what the city has to offer.
Love your enthusiasm! Toronto's mix of urban zest and GTA escapes is a win-win. Hope to welcome you to the city soon!
I like vancouver more. big city + nature. But with that, comes with the additional price
Totally get it! Vancouver's got that city-nature combo, but it's like the VIP section-nature demands an extra fee! 😄🏞️
Which better city to live for musicians?
Both cities have a lot to offer musicians. Toronto has a ton of venues and industry buzz, perfect for networking. Vancouver, with its laid-back vibe, is great for creative inspiration. Depends on your groove.
My dream is Vancouver or Toronto 🇨🇦, but I have some indecision about other Canadian cities 😅
Absolutely understand your indecision! 🤔 Keep an eye out for my upcoming comparison videos on other Canadian cities. I’ve got Calgary and Ottawa coming up next. They might help you make the best choice for your dream spot!
Do you love the city, or do you love nature? To really appreciate Vancouver, you really have to love water sports, hiking, skiing, etc. If you hate all that stuff, go to Toronto. The city life in Vancouver is okay.. but if you're not taking advantage of the outdoors there, the city will get lame after a year.
the best city to live in is where you are the most content. toronto and vancouver are apples and oranges and they are both great.
Thanks for echoing my sentiments.
Great video❤ Which better city for real estate agent or broker? Toronto or Vancouver ?
Thanks! Both cities are booming, but Toronto has more agents per capita than Vancouver, meaning more competition. Vancouver's market might offer a bit more breathing room. It really comes down to personal preference and career goals!
Hello, it was a very useful comparison, thank you. There's something I want to learn. My area of interest and knowledge is cannabis and I want to progress in this regard. Which city do you think would be a better choice for this job? The only business I know is hemp farming. I want to work more in this field. In which city can I find a job more easily? I would be grateful if you could guide me correctly. Thank you, we continue to follow and like you. :)
Hey there! Thanks for the love and the follow! If you're into "high" ambitions in the cannabis industry, both Toronto and Vancouver offer plenty of opportunities.
That said, Toronto's status as Canada's largest city and a major economic hub means it often offers a wider spectrum of career opportunities in this budding field. However, your choice should ultimately depend on job availability, your unique skill set, and personal preferences.
Quick disclaimer, I'm no cannabis expert, just your friendly neighbourhood real estate guide. Remember, when exploring this industry, it's essential to stay informed about current regulations and market trends. It's an exciting field with plenty of potential for growth. Best of luck on your budding journey!
what I have seen in both cities during the summer. I see Vancouver is rich in vegetation and there are many hemp farms due to the climate.
Thanks so much for this video!! I’m currently applying to art college and I’m really torn between a college in Ontario and a college in Vancouver. Do you perhaps know about what the climate is like for art jobs in either city? Thanks !!
Both Toronto and Vancouver offer vibrant art scenes. Toronto boasts 32,000 artists and arts workers, with 1 in every 50 workers being a professional artist. Vancouver's arts community is thriving too, but I don't know specific numbers. I don't think you can go wrong with either choice. Good luck!
come to Edmonton its fun here! So much thing to do here
Edmonton, huh? I’ve heard the river valley is pretty amazing! Maybe I'll swing by for some fun and see how it stacks up against Toronto and Vancouver! 😄
@@LivingInTorontoCA ahaha
Very correct, excellent comparisson.
Thanks for the positive feedback! 👍 So, which city gets your vote, Toronto or Vancouver?
great content 🔥
now wanted to ask this, i want to have an insurance career in Canada
im struggling to decide between which city or province to move to because I am not really getting great information online
1 ONTARIO / TORONTO
2 BC / VANCOUVER
3 ALBERTA / CALGARY
Any advice?
When considering where to start your insurance career, each of these cities has its advantages and considerations.
Toronto: As Canada's financial hub, Toronto offers numerous insurance career opportunities due to its diverse population and a concentration of insurance companies. However, it's highly competitive and has a higher cost of living.
Vancouver: Vancouver's growing insurance sector benefits from its natural beauty and client demand for asset protection, especially regarding environmental and climate risks. The city provides a balanced lifestyle, but housing costs can be high.
Calgary:
Calgary's insurance scene, particularly tied to the energy industry, offers opportunities if you're interested in sectors like energy, agriculture, or natural resources. The cost of living is generally lower compared to Toronto and Vancouver, which can be a significant advantage. However, job opportunities may be more specialized due to the city's economic focus.
Your choice depends on your career goals, personal preferences, and the specific niche within the insurance industry that interests you the most. So, take your time to research and decide which city aligns best with your aspirations.
I have a video on Toronto vs Calgary coming up soon so be on the lookout for that to give you some more insight.
Great information 👍
Thanks a lot! Really glad you found the info helpful. If you have any questions or want to dive deeper into the topic, feel free to ask. Your input means a lot!
I hope you can help me (and my English is good enough)
I arrived a few days ago in Vancouver. I make a year work and trevel. My plan was to stay in Vancouver but it’s sooo expensive even a flat share l. So I Google where to live instead. I need a “city live” cuz that’s how I grew up 😅
On the Internet I saw Toronto is way more worth it or Calgary. So i looked on Craigslist and saw many good flats for a acceptable price in Toronto.
My question, do u have any tips for me where to live in Canada ? (A city, haven’t to be very big, but not so expensive like Vancouver 💀)
I would appreciate a answer
Best greetings
Tom 😊
Hi Tom! Thanks for reaching out. Toronto and Vancouver are the most expensive cities in Canada, but they offer great quality of life. If you're looking for more budget-friendly cities, cities like Calgary AB, Halifax NS, or Winnipeg MB or London ON are worth exploring. It’s important to consider factors like job prospects, local amenities, climate and lifestyle too and not just cost of living. Canada's diversity means there's a perfect place for you. But without knowing your exact goals in Canada, pinpointing the best city is a bit tricky. Just a heads-up: be cautious about rental ads on platforms like Craigslist, as many of those are a sham. Feel free to share more, and I'd be thrilled to help!
@@LivingInTorontoCA to be honest, i would like to connect more to the music scene and start working in the cannabis industry. But I also need a place to sleep than I can afford, and a hostel is permanent no option I think 😅
Thanks for the quick reply 😇🫶🏻
@@fussel2983 Hey Tom! Thanks for sharing more about your interests. If you're into the music scene and the cannabis industry, consider checking out Hamilton ON. It's got a vibrant art/music vibe and a significantly lower cost of living compared to Toronto. Plus, it's only about an hour train ride to Toronto, costing around $10 for a return ticket. I've visited Hamilton for a music festival a few weeks ago and plan to attend another music/art fest there in 2 weeks - Hamilton is buzzing! About the cannabis industry, it's pretty over-saturated here, but options abound. Feel free to reach out if you need more insights.
@@LivingInTorontoCA Thank you, that was really very helpful 🫶🏻🙏🏻
You have my abo and a like 😄
I was also thinking about to moving to Surrey,Richmond or Burnaby. But it seems there’re not really better than Vancouver
@@LivingInTorontoCA also my questions, is around Hamilton beautiful nature too like in Vancouver?
Toronto is better
Thanks for sharing your view! ☺️
Victoria
Victoria's got that island charm.
Boring as hell
@@plain_alejandro Thanks for taking time out of your day to share your thoughts.
Victoria is awful. Good for visiting once and that's it.
@@ML-ov7wo Well, to each their own! Victoria might not be everyone's cup of Tim Hortons coffee, but hey, that's the beauty of Canada-something for everyone!
neither
I appreciate your input! Everyone's got their preferences. If there's a specific city you prefer or other factors you consider important, I'd love to hear more about it!
Montreal, you silly goose!
Haha, Montreal does have its unique charm for sure!
Old infrastructure, rundown buildings, thrash everywhere, boring for nature lovers.. oh and French!
How about neither. Communist Canada is gross.
Everyone's entitled to their opinion! Hope you're enjoying your paradise in whatever country that may be. 🌎✌️
Run away from both.. Too expensive.. But Vancouver is more beautiful....
Both cities can be pricey, no denying that. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
There's no other cities in Canada worth living in, especially for foreigners.
@@ML-ov7wo Toronto and Vancouver might hog the spotlight, but Canada's like a treasure trove of awesome cities waiting to be discovered. There's more to the Great White North than just the 6ix and Van City!
if you have the opportunity go to a smaller city. more affordable usually cleaner.
@@lindaostrom570 Smaller cities: where the air smells like fresh laundry and the rent won't give you heart palpitations! 😄 But hey, big city charm's got its perks too-like endless food options and... well, endless food options!
