For renting options first find out if your school have dorms for single and family, thats what I did. So all I did was rent the family unit. All utilities included as well as furniture. Trust me its a way to cut cost.

Got my SIN number at my school before school started. Some schools have them come in. My spouse was able to update his SIN by my school as well. So that’s an option too.

How soon can I fly to Canada if my school starts in September? (Note: I am staying with family)
It's recommended that you arrive in Canada 2 to 3 weeks before school starts to get settled.
