• a fall weekend in my l...
We live in Guadalajara too! We love it ❤
Now you know what rainy season is like in Guadalajara 🙃 What would you like to see in future living in Guadalajara vlogs?? There could be more afternoons like 7:20 in the works 👀
I'm Tom from Iowa. I am planning to retire next July and move to guadalajara or the lake chapala area. I love your videos and find them full of useful information
Very cool, Tom! What about Guadalajara calls to you?? 🤓
@@alex-wittman I love big cities. I've lived in nyc and spend a lot of time in Chicago. When I was in high school I visited Mexico city. But I think I'm more of a second city type person. It seems more relaxed but still has plenty to do.
Chapala there is nothing to do. You'll be bored quickly / will need to commute to Guadalajara all the time. In Gdl you have everything. I live here. Mind you, a quality / quiet accomodation in Gdl is very expensive. That was my biggest surprise. Also it's big. You will need a car or a motorbike.
@@r3dp1ll thanks for the info
@@r3dp1ll I am considering retiring to Mexico in the next year or two. When you say a quality/quiet accommodation is expensive, how much are you talking per month?
No se pierdan tanto!!
Congratulations on being in MX for 6 years!! Nice weekend, I love when you share your day(s) with us!
Thanks for watching, Cindy! I'm glad to hear you enjoy these day in the life vlogs--they're such a fun way to share what my experience living in Mexico is like 🥰
I need to Improve my Spanish language . People know English. But don't speak it much and better if you speak Spanish.
Great video. Makes me want to visit GDL.
That's the goal 👏🏼 Haha, thanks for watching, Todd!
Same here, always nice to come home to Guadalajara.
Guadalajara is such an amazing city!
I went to Parque Alcalde as a young kid. I remember vividly pedaling around the small boats and having lots of fun. I am glad that the park has been maintained and looks even better than I remember. I also miss the rain. The smell of the water and playing in the rain.
Thanks. Your videos are sooo helpful! Coming to Guadalajara durante cuatro semanas en Noviembre. Looking forward to it!
Ooooo I am so excited for you! November is an excellent time to visit Guadalajara! Let me know if you need any recommendations 🤓
Great video Alex, we are heading back to Mexico mid Nov for 3 months and have Guadalajara on our cities to visit for a few weeks. Can't wait to check out that park, looks so great! Now need to get with it and take notes from all your videos to see the sites!
Love these day in the life insights.
So glad you enjoyed it, I plan on doing these more often!
👋 all of the food looks sooooo good! I love a bacon maple donut, but that cotton candy one caught my eye for sure. 😆
The cotton candy one sure is vibrant! There were also some pan de muertos donuts 👀
I have such a good feeling about Guadalajara, especially that it rains like this! Coming from Egypt, I am starved for rain, and trees, and happy people. I can't imagine what it's really like to live there, but it seems pretty groovy so far.
Duuude
Tierra mojada y donas!
Really nice vide. And a financial tip to boot! Buen trabajo.
A little bit of everything 😜
Awesome video…we’ll be in Guadalajara at the end of this month. Let’s hope it doesn’t rain on us. Cheers
I thiiiiink the rain should be letting up soon. But this week, there's a storm on the coast which means cloudy, cool days in Guadalajara!
Cool video! I am traveling there in 2 weeks for the first time. Do you happen to know anything about the fiestas de octubre? I'd like the check it out while I am there! Cheers
Hi Alex! I love your 'day in the life' vlogs. Happy 6th anniversary! By the way, are you using a new camera or it's just me?
Thanks for watching, Miguel! I've been having fun with the vlogs lately & definitely want to share more if you and other subscribers enjoy them 🥰 I'm curious: What made you think this was a new camera?
@@alex-wittman it seemed like a higher quality video, but maybe I’m comparing it to other TH-camrs so it might be just me 😁
@@miguel-h not a new camera, but I'm trying really hard with these vlogs to make them pretty and fun so I'm taking that as I'm on the right track 🥹
Beautiful I will be there in two weeks for the first time !!! I’m glad to see this video I was really scared of the bad stories but I see that’s not true 😅
I hope you enjoy your time in Guadalajara!
Fun weekend!!!
Siempre contigo 😘
🤣😊😁👍👍 love the "local vibe" stuff!
So glad you enjoyed it, Dave! I definitely want to share more about life in Guadalajara! Keep an eye out for more vlogs!
Great! Having lived in Queretaro for a year now (and really liking it, have you ever met nicer people?), I'm yearning for a little more rain, parks, green spaces, thanks so much for your great work Alex!
Hello from Mérida, Yucatán! It’s incredibly hot here and seems to be getting hotter. Although I enjoy a tropical “feel”, my husband is less and less a fan. How are the overall temperatures in Guadalajara? I remember specifically in one of your videos from Queretaro saying that you were “cold” when you weren’t in the sun. We visited Queretaro and it was not tropical enough of a feel for me. We are still renting in Mérida because we haven’t decided on where to settle in Mexico yet. Can you actually feel seasons there? Does it get cool without being cold? Thanks so much for all your videos. You were definitely one of my main research tools when deciding to make the move. 🇲🇽🌮
Guadalajara has some of the best weather in the entire country. It has Sub-tropical climate. It is also in the state of Jalisco which contains ALL five of Mexico's natural ecosystems. You have the rainy season from June to October. high 60ºs to low 80sºF. Everything is green and lush. November to February is winter so High 70º F but drops drastically at night. Sometimes as low as 40ºs or 50ºs. March to May is the hot and dry season. Dry heat usually high 80s to 90ºF.
Pretty colorful year round but I would say the month of October everything is blooming. Pretty colorful if you go outside the city. Not to mentio you are close to coastlines with beautiful tropical beaches, Mountains with coniferous forests, and to the north you got desert. Go visit!
Hi, Awesome video. Thank you! How does one find events like that sashimi party at the end? I am coming to visit for few days next week. Love dancing bachata
Very cool video..... Where was your umbrella. I have mine here in Cuenca 99% of the time
It usually only rains at night--I actually don't even own an umbrella!
Check out my latest weekend in the life vlog feat. one of my FAVORITE date night spots in Guadalajara: th-cam.com/video/udR-eneDiv8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=pxELri9t2AxaTR_M
I would really like it if you could walk us thru a pottery/ceramic outdoor market or indoor store🪴
Arriving to Guadalajara next week with wife for 5 days. Never been. Live in San Pancho. Not drinkers but are foodies. Staying in old town center. If you have any "can't miss this restaurant" recommendations, I would be very appreciative. We also need to get some quality replacement ceramic plates/serving dishes AND want to see top sites if you want to throw in anything quickly w/o too much brain damage to you. Love your posts...I've been following you since 2020.
Hold my phone while I sprint to get me a nutella filled donut
We need to get a dozen for a scientific taste test 🤓
👋
I just arrived in Guadalajara yesterday. I'm staying in Tlaquepaque. What is your favorite donut joint? Is it Jolly Molly or somewhere else?
Jolly Molly is good! Clementa Donuts in Colonia Americana is also a fave!
@@alex-wittman Awesome, thanks!
Hola Alex saludos
Gracias por ver!

Maple donut, how very Canadian of you!
So delicious! As was my (not filmed) iced coffee 🤓
Como están ?
Hello. Visiting March 23-30. Can anyone recommend a safe, reliable driver they know personally? For airport pickup, tours, etc. Thanks!
Hi
