Ghanaians forget that all their actors and actresses made it big in Nigeria and not in Ghana. There was a time when pretty much every other actor in nollywood movies was a Ghanaian. If go to Nigeria, you hear Juls beats everywhere. I think the problem is that deep down Ghanaians wants to be Nigerian so they are mad at themselves for that, almost all Ghanaian actor and musicians are popular because of the support they get from Nigerians.

She said she grew up in Nigeria so of cause she will speak like a Nigerian. Though a Nigerian l can connect with what jacinta is saying. But the irony is that Nigerians also have similar complaints about Nigerians liking foreign things the only difference is that Nigerians may fight among themselves but we always present a united front to the world and we believe in ourselves.

Mariam A.A, you hit the nail on the head. Nigerians different ethnic tribes can fight amongst ourselves on line, but when it comes to face a fight from outside Nigeria, we definitely unite and fight vigorously to the end. With this display from Nigerians, we actually love ourselves, but the problem is our leaders in government.

Nigeria is the USA in Africa, y’all deal with that. In Nigeria, the USA has so much influence too, listen, Nigeria loves Ghana, in onitsha we loved nana ampadu, city boys of onitsha and so on, I personally sing Ghana songs that I don’t even know the meaning.
These things happen, a time comes when it was all Ghana music all over Aba , Owerri and onitsha, now it’s Nigerian music all over kumassi and Accra, tomorrow it’s gonna change again. My take in all these ban Nigerian music shit is simple; what about the American influence in your cultures and ways of life, when is that gonna be banned ???.

Am sorry but I wonder all the time I hear a Nigerian person say something like please!!! ur country is too small meaning what exactly ? Volume doesn’t make one more famous it’s one’s talent so please stop it! Jamaica 🇯🇲 is the Third largest island in the Caribbean but we are well known/ more popular across the globe Weather good or bad we made it so Population has nothing to do with Popularity. Nigerians like Jamaicans are full of talents and they are very smart they know how to cross over I bet u any amount of money if Nigerian started to sing every songs in their native tongue the music will fall that’s the problem Ghanaian is having always song in native tongue or singing like an American or just someone that’s not even from Ghana 🇬🇭 they should own their culture push it out and craft it the right way things will go well. as for Jamaican dance hall music if they don’t go back to basics 90s early to late 2000s music and stop this foolishness ppl spinning ppl like Propeller they would fade out too. As for Cameroonian they need to stick to makosa that’s their identity!

This Video is Promoting Hatred with Ghana.
We were in a Cafe at Adum. One Ghanaian put his drive on the television to watch movies.
Then the music videos showing was.
Burnaboy. Tekno. Yemi alade. We are all enjoying the sounds everybody was vibing.
Till one guy came, the manager there I think so. He went straight to change the drive and put his one. Guess what was showing there.
    Medikal Omo ada.
    One corner
    Lil win.
He just killed the Vibes in that Cafe. Everybody in that are foreigners.
Like 4 White Men and 3 Nigeria’s including me. And some South African and 4 French speakers who are learning English.
Immediately they start moving out. Coz they don’t understand the sound....
    So reasons are.
Nigeria’s construct their songs before it went viral.
In Nigeria we don’t promote wack songs.
Somebody like Lil Win be in Nigeria. He will never make it up to Lagos.
One Corner that Song Went viral in Nigeria bcoz it’s a funny dance and comes from Ghana. If a Nigeria did that Song. The Promoters wont carry along.
Nigeria’s use Pidgin and English to make songs. Few Use local dialect.
Ghana use a lot their dialect and it only ends in Ghana.
Sarkodie made it big because he was working with people we really love in Nigeria. ice prince and others. R2bees made it Nigeria coZ of Wande Coal.
So my dear Ghanaians Do Good Songs with English we gonna play it In Nigeria.
I enjoy watching ghana movies in Nigeria. Who owns da city was my favorite.

Your point is funny. You are a nigerian and you feel proud that your local dialect is not flying and you are happy to make that point. Smh. Ghanaians are happy with our songs and our local dialect. We all saw how despacito became a big hit. Were the people not Puerto Ricans and was the song not in Spanish? But you were grooving to it weren't you? We are proud of our culture and our languages. If you want to throw yours away that is your problem.

@@harrietacquah2545 lol when it come to Promoting our culture you know no one can compete with us Nigerians on that, our music and movies are the evidence have you seen any Nigerian president putting on anything that is not Nigerian atire? Think bro before you talk just do good music and people will appreciate it i still play Praye song shoty till date because it was good then and i still remember it most part of the song were in your language but I still loved it then and now and also VIP were once huge in Nigeria because they were very good and we Nigerians loved and appreciated them and many other ghanian artist, however ever if I am to advise Ghanians artist I will say they should dig underground to find out why Nigerians still prefer playing songs from their olden days artist Like Carnados Super star, City Boys Of Ghana okukuseke and some others their songs are more played in Nigeria more than the new Generation artist I believe the are missing something which should be that high life and hip life flavor, but this dancehall of anything is not what Nigerians want is something that is original give us hiplife and highlife and we will appreciate it if I want to listen to a dancehall tune I know how to type in Jamaican Music on TH-cam

@@ndjoe1 if that is so what is the point in downplaying your own language? That is the point Kevin made. I addressed his point so please speak to the topic. He was talking about doing more english songs and I'm pointing out to him citing examples that it is not the language but promotion. That is all. Let me cite another example. I'm sure you rocked to Jerusalem's right? Was it an English song? But it was a global hit so let's put the argument where it ought to be.

    • @edowitch4703
      @edowitch4703 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

@@harrietacquah2545 Jerusalem was promoted in Nigeria because the promoter wanted it so. Nigeria is diverse with over 500 languages, they mix the major languages with English in their music. You hear Yoruba, Igbo , English and Pidgin language in one music in most cases. It is rare to see just English language in a music because of our diversity. South Africa on the other has less language hence they promote more of Xhosa and Zulu at the expense of the minorities however in Nigeria we consider the minorities ( which is why Pidgin language is popular over here since there are diverse tongues and tribes).

It will be so stupid to comparing Ghanaians artists or attress with Nigerians products that are naturally imbibed or build. Ghanaians are only copying what seemed to have failed out in Nigeria. Naijans are born with talents expecially in the areas of intertainments and creativity. Talking about movie lines Nigerians always have good story lines to caught your attentions and this is what Ghanaians like.

Honestly, Nigerians loves Ghanaians far far better than our blood brothers (Togo, Benin, Sierra Leone and Liberia) I can't explain why anyways.
But you see, Ghanian artists need to work with Naija counterparts, colabo with them, market their work in Nigeria. Get invited to Nigerian shows. Nigeria has a huge and untapped market for Ghanian works......take advantage!
Shatta Wale approach is very wrong!......and at the end, Ghanian artists will bear the brunt! Let's create West African Brotherhood!

This is not true oh, I am a Nigerian I used to watch GHTV and many other Ghanaian stations in Nigeria even news, I used to watch Anas Aremeyaw Anas, even in primary/secondary school there was this Ghanaian family Sitcom I used to enjoy way back. Nigeria has a very big talent pool I as a Nigerian don't even have enough time in a day to listen to half of all the GOOD Nigerian Musicians and watch all the GOOD Nigerian movies let alone consume every movie, music, comedy, entertainment etc from Ghana, Cameroon, South Africa, Uganda, Kenya and every other African country complaining about Nigeria's dominance in Entertainment.
I highlighted GOOD for a reason, Ghanaians, Cameroonians etc push, sponsor, help promote Good music, movies etc don't just promote it because it is from your country but promote it because it is good that way it'll go far but of you waste your time promoting something that is really poor it won't go anywhere, anyone listing to it is not likely to come back and listen to anything at all from Ghana because all the songs from Ghana you promoted to him where trash. So you will be doing more harm than good. This is why clubs, cafes, etc play Good Nigerian songs they want customers to stay long and come next time, but as a bar owner you play crappy music that's causing headache customers will leave immediately and may not come back again. But if you play good Nigerian songs people passing by your shop, bar, saloon, club etc will just stop and enter just to enjoy the music or ask the name of the artist and song and may decide to buy a drink and relax as well. By that They've noticed your business and will likely come again. It's simple logic
