I did it wrong all the years. Thank you. I never knew that i need a tassimo for this. I always used a water kettle. But now i can make really delicious French Press coffee, cause i have a tassimo for that! Guess it makes more delicious hot water...
6 min 19 sec to show the world how to make hot water. As per previous comments ... use a kettle, turn on the stove, make a fire... think this is an example of inverted progress - buy tech to make life more convenient, use tech to its minimum potential to do what you did before you bought the tech.
No it doesn’t, a 3kw kettle heats a cup of water in ~40secs. Tassimo takes that long just to dispense plus heating time. Only reason to do this is if the kettle broke down.
The thing I find most fascinating about this is that you actually managed to turn boiling water into a 6-minute video whilst also telling me absolutely nothing I didn't already know about how to make coffee using a cafetiere
I did not do my research and I bought the Tassimo Bosch machine and I have more access to buying the K-Cups instead of the Tassimo discs so what I want to know is there any way to kind of use a hack and use the K-Cups on a Tassimo machine because there seems to be a lot more flavors and options of what drink you want using K-Cups so how to use K-Cups on a Tassimo machine will be great info
After watching this vid I feel a little better about myself. I thought I was dumb, but this guy takes the cake!!! Ever heard of a microwave or stove? Heck even my kitchen sink gives hot water ....
Yup! Here in behind the times England we’re not so hi tech. We have to use a thing we call a kettle. We go down to the spring, scoop out some water, light a fire by rubbing two sticks together, place kettle above the fire and ten minutes late, voila! Hot water. When we eventually get electricity perhaps we can use a Tassimo.
I am wondering if this was made on April the 1st. Secret.... what secret?? I have a kettle and it is amazing in that it boils a little water that I then pour into my coffee pot! for those that say they that this is for people that have no kettles, may I suggest if they can afford a tassimo machine and the coffee pods, they can afford a £5.00 electric kettle, and it is no more economical if you only boil a smaal amount of water!
Sir do you know how to code the bar code for temp and volume of water? We have beens from Costa Rica (Britt) that brew best at 187°F. I am looking to get a reusable T-Cup and code my own label for that coffee. Thank you! Great videos.
The cleaning disc is just a program for hotter water that runs until the tank is empty. That being said you should never use the cleaning disc to make hot water. Have NONE of you ever seen the crap that comes out of the machine when you use it? Not using that water, thanks.
Many responses saying easier to use the kettle. Easier maybe, but the kettle boils water , ground coffee does not like "boiling" water. Also, most people fill their kettle to boil it, thus you boil 1.5 - 2.0 litres ( dependent on kettle type ) Most good Kettles are 2.7 - 3KW thus you use significantly more energy to make one cup with a kettle. So you can use a kettle, but the Tassimo does it more efficiently , it's just a matter of getting used to doing it that way. It''s quicker too.
Re pods not emptying: I had this problem for the first few weeks after purchasing my Tassimo machine and it was always on the large milk pods. After a lot of fiddling and trial and error (and milk mess all over the machine) I discovered exactly what was causing the problem. When placing the disc into the machine, press the disc down so that it flattens against the holder. You really want to make sure that the foil of the pod is flat against the barcode reader when the lid is closed. That's it.
I'm using a stainless steel reusable tdisc and I've found that fine grind is rather weak tasting it's finding that sweet spot between fine and course for coffee to taste great
At first glance this video seems stupid but if you think its great idea to use tassimo water instead the kettel one. You should never make coffee using boiling water, so when using kettle you have to wait and try to catch the ideal temp, and tassimo will always use ideal water temp for your coffee because its programmed. So coffee using tassimo water will be better :)
Blingbling the tassimo is NOT making the water temp ideal for your coffee cos it does not know you are making coffee !!The “cleaning” t-disc that is used for cleaning the machine simply gives you the hottest water it can produce, it will also taste awful because it is cleaning the crap out of your machine and personally I don’t want to drink crap out of my machine
Wow...who would have thought a coffee maker can make hot water..... amazing! FYI folks that's normally called a kettle, and cost a hell of a lot less.......
I was waiting for you to show us how to make a meal with it. Was this going to be a pot noodle or maybe a cupa soup? You're a total legend we thought you had to buy the expensive little capsules but now we can just use our fantastically expensive coffee machine instead of a kettle.
i myself went out a bought three of these machines in order to feed my family pot noodles, cup a soups and other de-hydrated food based products at the same time based on the strength of the reviews of this fabulous infomercial by this skilled and talented presenter. then i remembered i had a FUCKING KETTLE and decided to get a life and stop watching shitty life hacks like these. unless you havent got a kettle, then...well...GO BUY A KETTLE ...thank you.
This is our second K-Classic. We had our first one for many years, so when we had to replace it, we wanted nothing else but this exact th-cam.com/users/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf model. We use it for about three people everyday in the morning. The taste and quick brew is one of the reasons we like it so much. There are so many choices of brands of coffee that we would grab what was on sale and test the different brands from there. I would definitely recommend trying different brands of coffee to find the ones you like the most because there are brands that quite frankly taste horrible.
Doh. Tassimo do hot water discs with 150ml, 250ml, 350ml and 450ml servings, but using the cleaner disc (which actually doesn't contain any cleaner) as a substitute is no secret. It was obvious as soon as people used the disc for the initial usage of the Tassimo prior to using it to make coffee for the first time.
Thanks for the video, just watched this and for all those people taking the p1ss about kettles and stoves. You really don't want a coffee maker. shut up. the Tassimo saves energy and if you dont have a kettle in the kitchen then this is a good use for the tassimo. PS dumb 4ss to the person who said just the hot water from the tap. Doh....
Simon Pilling If you don't have a kettle then use your pot to boil water. Why go out and buy a 100 dollar Tassimo just so you can boil some water? You can buy a simple kettle at Walmart for 10 dollars, or you can go to Walmart and buy a Tassimo for 100 dollars. Do the math genius.
Bravo another typical small minded comment, this video is for hot drink lovers who have one of these machines already. Encore encore more comments once again thank you to the people who made this video not for profit or gain publishing free on TH-cam.
My prof explained the whole process of cancer in less than an hour .. And took ya 6 mins to thrw a green disc on a machine to get a hot water.. I got to drink 3 cups of coffee just to survive ur video.
American ingenuity...my god. who would have thought this possible the detail and the seriousness the pure infommercial quality. oh wait, hang on...i have a kettle....so if i just...hah. this is a joke right...right...RIGHT. /facepalm
Wow. French press coffee using a Tassimo!!!! To think I have been using an old fashioned electric kettle all these years and now I have a Tassimo I can get the same coffee but not quite as hot as using boiled water from my kettle, I would never have thought of that!!!! What a waste of time.
Well, maybe you’re in a small office where kettles are not allowed and a coffee machine is. So, give this guy a break - not everyone knows that the cleaning disk is designed to simply just dispense hot water for the machine.
I agree, I just had to read this comments to see if you were thinking what I was. He looks like a nice guy but OMG what was he thinking when he made this video????? I thought he was going to share a secret with how we can make a cup of coffee in the machine without their overpriced proprietary baloney to purchase. It's possible that this gentleman sells French coffee presses & trying to sell them through reverse psychology????
Good video but that service t disc has a barcode on it that's designed for cleaning the machine. I tried to use it to do exactly what your doing but found that the water could of done to be hotter. I found a other way of getting hot water from the machine that works much better in my opinion. If you want to know how to do this have a look at my step by step video that I have posted on my page. Give it a try if your wanting to make coffee or tea with your own stuff.
Huge waste of money to buy a Tassimo machine and only use it to brew water... Would rather get an Americano pod, or for latte/cappucino/machiatto, Id rather get an espresso pod, and use an Aerocinno kinda machine (Or yknow buy the pods - Id buy the pods, but I dont want the added sugar)
What the hell is this? The point of Tassimo us next to no cleaning and a consistent coffee. What this video does is informs people what their instruction manual already told them.
As soon as I saw the cleaning disk I thought... oh, you're just using this contraption as a kettle. What a waste of time. Unless of course you're someone that now eschews all other methods of making water hot and use a Tassimo exclusively for that purpose. Those people must exist, but would they need to watch this video on the "secrets of tassimo"? Unlikely.
Wow you just turned your Tassimo into a kettle. How very astonishing.
I thought exactly the same ! Haha ffs
Just Boil the KETTLE! Please! I had to sit through a 30 second crap advert to be told this!
Adblock (google it)
You ain't kidding.. Fuck me I watched a guy boil water. Hopefully this guy ended up being mauled by bears.
Well....you didn't *have* to.
So impressed that he can keep a straight face throughout the presentation.

I have a similar piece of equipment for making hot water. It' s called a kettle.

I presume the 'hot meal' he's referring to is a Pot Noodle?
The thing I find most fascinating about this is that you actually managed to turn boiling water into a 6-minute video whilst also telling me absolutely nothing I didn't already know about how to make coffee using a cafetiere
Thanks, really informative video. Can't wait for you to reveal the secret to making Pot Noodles with this machine
Yeah, this was obviously the secret 'to making even meals' with your Tassimo that he hinted at!
Learn how to boil water the hard way, genius!
OMG i just threw away my kettle and got my self a tassimo. I love buttons!
Is there any way to have a reusable t-disk for milk in order to make latte or cappuccino?

So the cleaning disc is safe for this? It doesn't taint the water with descaler?
The cleaning disc is just a program for hotter water that runs until the tank is empty. That being said you should never use the cleaning disc to make hot water. Have NONE of you ever seen the crap that comes out of the machine when you use it? Not using that water, thanks.
you dont own one of these do you??? and you take it seriously dont you??

Anyone with a Tassimo is not going to want to go through all that nonsense.
@@andymerrett it was over 6 minutes, there was more than "putting some water in the reservoir and putting a plastic disc in the holder"

Why not just boil water in a kettle and pour it in the Bodum as usual?!
Can we use milk instaed of water?

great now I'm going to buy me a tassimo coffee brewer to make hot water....yay.
Unfortunately No. We always recommend to buy Milk Frother with any single-serve brewer. Enjoy your cup, Aromacup.com.
Why don't you just use a Kettle instead!? lol
Why didn't you just use a kettle of hot water
Tassimo have gone from 16 pods in a pack to 12 pods in a pack recently. Because of this I am researching ways to not have to buy tassimo pods.

thats 6 mins 15 secs too long
