Apologies for the cutoff end again! I'll post up a timelapse with the final picture, and we'll have our bitrate issue sorted out for next time, so this won't happen again. Thank you all for watching!
Thank you Dave and Meredith, again, this was a blast to watch and the artwork turned out amazing! It was quite a flashback seeing you drawing the Venom 😂 I‘ve watched you doing so for hours already as you know ☺️ Anyway, watched the whole thing while redrawing one of your artworks, so I was totally in the Finch-zone ☺️ All the best and see you soon! ✌🏻☺️👍🏻🙏🏼
For those of you looking for the mini-tutorials, here’s the time-stamps. Composition (people in natural environments): 9:12 Venom’s tongue on top of the teeth: 14:00 Muscle connection: 34:44 Drawing black characters (I.e. venom, black widow): 41:28 Perspective, people in perspective-ish: 2:06:27
Fun stream, Dave 🤘 missed most of it on Sunday, due to complications on my end. And yes, I have said it before: it would be great to see you do Conan for a livestream 🤘😁🤘

I've been practicing gesture drawing and anatomy for months. I still can't draw it very well but I'm getting tired now. Any suggestion what topic should I practice for now?
Excuse me but I could make the next drawings with the city. Or some landscapes I have problems with the environments, and if it is not much trouble I could give examples of dynamism in the pages of the comics, for example, as long as the pages are not too dark or too much light.
There's actually an interview with Greg Capullo (or was in his Wizard Special, I don't remember quit good) that he mentioned that comic book artist shouldn't worry about grey scale because ultimately your pencils going full dark. And in a way is true, BUT, greyscale helped me to understand hatching and crosshatching, because it just simulate grey from a far view. Also there are comic book artist as Lee Bermejo and Mikel Janin that work with greyscale
I love Dave's work but as a fan I was disheartened that he and his wife only acknowledges paid chats. As a youtuber its your subscribers that brings you passive income. Or even a steady salary. To disregard them on live chats because they don't donate money is a snobby and unappreciative gesture to the subscribers. Jim Lee even with his celeb status is very humble and acknowledged everyone whether a subscriber gave money or not. Either way i'm sure this won't get any positive input but I felt let down by someone I admired and inspired me to art.
This is not a true statement. 🤨Super chats do take a priority but Meredith is very good about asking other questions that are posed that are not super chats. Also, note how many people are on these live streams asking questions etc. And, a LOT of the questions are things that have been answered many, many times prior. Dave is also trying to draw. Remember that Dave and Meredith taking the time out of their busy schedules to do this at all is an incredible kindness on their part. They don’t owe you, me or anyone else anything so don’t be ungrateful. 😎
@@edeargle9253 I never said they owed me anything. If you watched the video Dave's wife clearly states that they would only acknowledge paid chats and that's what turned me away. For them to come on TH-cam is not doing me any favors. If anything its the viewers and fans that make it possible for them to be where they're at. If no one liked Dave's work then he wouldn't be a celebrity but the fact that people do it made him recognized. So for you to tell me he's doing us "Fan's" a favor you've got your mind set screwed.

Awesome👍👍👍👏👏👏
Love watching you draw, sir. I need to get faster in order to do a live stream of a piece. :D
Art is definitely more important, because you can have a comic book without dialogues, but not without drawings.
A book with dialogue and no pictures is a novel.
Watching this while eating breakfast! Greetings from the uk
Amazing.
feel bad that I can't use inks yet I really want to ink when I watch your videos but I have a long way to go before drawing with inks.
Don’t speed through the mini tutorials. They’re sooo useful. And your musings while working. More informative than the viewer questions!
Really enjoyed the stream!!!!

Do I have to learn all that value shading stuff for comic book drawing? It seems pencilers only use two values - grey and white.

@@harshStroke I fucking hate shading, but it looks like I can't escape it if I'm going to learn the comic book style shading/rendering.
Please give a tutorial on drawing hair, facial expressions, hands, feet, multiple light source.
David you can call your channel DMC that stands for Dave and Meredith Comic Art Just an idea :D
I would prefer it without the A at the end it sounds dramatic
Realism I yeah we would have DC at the end lol
Realism I or maybe MDComicArt

It could be weather interfering with the stream, also David mentioned he will resolve the bitrate/framerate issue by next weeks stream!
