Just a quick update: Forestella hasn't disbanded. They've changed agencies and are continuing their musical journey. Ko WooRim is currently fulfilling his mandatory military service and will rejoin the group upon completion. The other members are carrying on with both group and individual projects. They are high level singers. Nobody has brought anything at this level. Mind blowing.
This was a weekly show, therefore they only had few days to prepare each song. They are just simply amazing.
I want to say that Forestella are actually still together, they just changed agencies in 2021 but they are still together and are thriving. They are some of the best vocalists in Korea and I thank you for this analysis. Ko Woorim is a Basso Profundo so he can reach lower notes, he just chose to do it how he did to give the song impact.

Totally agree with @hollysmith. Ko Woorim can go even lower in other songs. I haven't heard anyone who can go as low (but so clear and sweet) as Woorim. Maybe when you check more songs of Forestella, you can see this is just another style (and I love this) Ko Woorim used in his singing.
You really have to get to know these boys better, they are a treat. They sing because it is part of who they are, they use techniques for effect. These beautiful boys will surprise you every time. On 6 January they sang as a trio The Show must go on (Queen), have a listen and then listen to Bad Romance (Lady Gaga) to get a taste of Ko Woorim's voice. Nella Fantasia displays the four different voices beautifully. I hope you delve deeper into the goldmine of Forestella.
For the more classical direction, I definitely recommend their incredible versions of "NELLA FANTASIA", "Hijo de la Luna" and Scarborough Fair". Or their Italian songs like "In un'altra vita", "L'immensita", "Parla piu piano". And definitely "Save Our Lives" one of their original m/v and a masterpiece. But they master every genre and make every song their own and a new TOP. React also to their incredible version of "Bad Romance" and "Bohemian Rhapsodie".

Good day. Thank you for your reaction and analysis. I enjoyed it a lot. I almost had heart pulpitations when I heard they had disbanded. Thank you for correcting it. It is so sad that they are not more famous, and that not more people know about them. Please look and react to them singing the song Champions, if possible the Seoul Festa version. It is epic and they go at it in full force, sounding more like a choir than just the four of them. Other great more classical songs are Dell Amore No Si Sa, In'ultra Vita, Parla Piu Piano, Nella Fantisia. They have some great songs in Korean as well like Lazenca Save Us, As I live and Dead Drunk, which is just a fun song to listen to. Their renditions of songs like Legends Never Die, Bad Romance, Despacito, Sweet Dreams, Time in a Bottle, We are the Champions and Bohemian Rhampsody are also superb. Looking forward to seeing another great reaction and analysis.
The thing you call “cheating” here is actually to accentuate the emotion in the words. They can definitely hit those notes. You will be pleasantly surprised when you check out their other songs.
And what exactly is “k-pop value”? Do you mean a non-classically trained pop voice? What makes this quality k-pop? That person is actually an amateur rock singer.
Also, this was not recorded with a full audience…the clapping you hear at the end are the other groups/contestants. Maybe because it was at the tail end of Covid? Many programs did not allow there to be an audience…for obvious reasons.

To say cheating to forestella is actually criminal . Nonsense with wild assumptions
Forestella is a (classical) Crossover vocal group and has been more active in the last year than ever before. They are definitely some of the best the music industry has to offer at the moment. 2 masters of vocal music, 1 musical actor, 1 rock singer (and self-taught until the group was founded). Each voice is unique on its own, but when they create these incredible harmonies together, they will blow you away. Musically and technically highly qualified, they are able to produce the most incredible sounds (always live!). 4 singers can sound like 40. They mostly cover legendary songs of all genres and add their own flavors, making each song their own while always respecting the original. They mix mainly rock/pop with classical vocals and very sophisticated classical techniques. One of Forestella's concerns is to show that rock/pop and classical singing go very well together, and the general enthusiasm and recognition proves them right. Solo, they each pursue projects that are based on very different musical preferences and Forestella's fans also come from very different backgrounds. In order to do justice to everyone, they changed agencies in 2021 and have now significantly expanded their musical direction towards more contemporary music.

But the competition from which FORESTELLA emerged had the goal of founding a CLASSIC Crossover Quartett. In their early days they were also much more classically oriented. They have significantly expanded their focus on popular music, but are still very close to classical music too. However, these songs are not that well known to many.

The clapping - this was recorded during the worst of the Pandemic so there were very few people watching live. Most of the clappers were fellow performers.

Correction, they are still together! They just toured all of Korea in 2023 and even did a short tour of the USA. The youngest one of the group, Ko Woorim, the deep beautiful bass, had not completed his mandatory military service and had to leave this November, for 15-18 months. The other three keep performing as Forestella, and are still doing a magnificent job! In 2023, they released so many new songs; “White Nights”, “Legends never die”, “Despacito”, “Kool”, “Snow Globe”, and Chagall’s dream”…. Plenty to keep you busy!

Thank you for reacting to FORESTELLA's version of "Je suis malade". You're right, this group has a great synergy and the intensity and emotionality of their performances are unsurpassed. Originally this is a chanson in which "spoken words" is common, which reinforces the expression. This is also the case here, even if it takes a turn towards the more classic. Ko WooRim the “Bass” is a classically trained basso-profundo. A master of his craft who sings in a much lower pitch. Just listen to one of his classic performances (here Opera "Il lacerato spirito" (Simon Boccanegra). th-cam.com/video/MLIDj9P1ph0/w-d-xo.html or th-cam.com/video/LuPS-n-rEME/w-d-xo.html The same applies to Bae DooHun (baritenor), Cho (Jo) MinGyu (tenor leggiero and 3-year member of the renowned Metropolitan Opera Seoul) and Kang HyungHo - a rock singer who has one of the most beautiful soprano voices ever. (And he also sings here in his head voice.) All members have greatly extended vocal ranges and outstanding techniques. The recording took place btw. during "Corona times". Spectators were not allowed at this time or only in small numbers. Therefore, applause was added.

Those lines are airy to convey the emotion in the lyrics. They CAN hit those notes. You'll see once you check out more performances from them. This was recorded during covid, so they didn't have a live audience on the show. The other contestants were the ones clapping.
Exactly! Lara Fabian’s version is also mostly spoken for a good part of the song.

If their own song " Save our Lives - Part 1 of the Beginning World Tree/ "Utopia" is Part 2 ) arrives different views ( 2 million this time) they do different activities (Bungee Jumping / Part Change - they changed their voices , bass try to sing tenor or countertenor ...) and dance to a KPOP song (They made their own song "Kool" in summer 2023 and dance ) these missions are all fullfilled.
They can definitely hit those notes… I hope you checked out more of their videos. Their individual ranges are amazing and together they go from D1 to C6. They got it covered.

The information you shared about the group is incorrect!!!!.
This group never ever disbanded. They signed up with a new agency. They now have more artistic freedom. They have since created masterpieces in so many different genre’s and languages. Please check “ Save our lives” , “ Utopia”, “ White Night”, “ Snow Globe”. All original m/v’s where the members played an active role in its compositions. Released in 2022 and 2023.
Korea requires all males to go through a minimum of 18 month mandatory military service. Three of them had done it prior to the group being formed. The 4th Ko Woorim enrolled in Nov 23. The group performed together till the last week. They even had a forestella festival right before his enrollment . A special song called Chagall’s dream was released during this time. Since Nov they are working on the individual projects but still come together and sing when needed.
This was performed during the pandemic when an audience was not allowed. The only people there are judges and other competitors. If you want to see all the performances from this show. Search for Phantom singers all stars.
The group Forestella were formed and were winners of the Phantom singer 2 competition. Phantom singers all stars was a friendly competition during the pandemic between the top 3 groups of the Phantom singers 1, 2, 3 seasons.

le premier chanteur ( basse) et le troisième de gauche à droite ont le meilleur accent français.
Les autres sont plus difficilement comprehensibles.
Mais ce n'est pas très important, l'ensemble est plaisant !
