- Jordan demonstrates how to remove and then install a Turner Hastings toilet seat.
The luxury soft closing seat and quick release allows you to simply press two buttons and the seat slips off its hinges for easy cleaning around the fixing area.
The products these installation instructions relate to are the Narva toilet collection and Ticino toilet collection. To view our range www.turnerhastings.com.au/bat... - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต
This is probably 8th toilet-seat DIY video I watched today. And it's the first one that actually showed the type of toilet seat that I need help with. And it was explained nice and clearly, at the right speed. Thank you so much
I can't get at the screw now to tighten it since I've put the plastic disc over the screw, can't get the disc off what nightmare.
It was well explained. I followed the instructions, and I have successfully fixed two of the toilet seats that have been giving me concern. Thank you so much.
I cannot tell you how helpful this has been. The only video on YT which deals with our particular type of toilet! My husband has dementia and is unable to do any DIY any more. I will be able to do it myself without the expense of a handyman. Thank you so so much 😇
We're so happy this helped you
After months of head scratching, you are my hero I’ve changed my toilet soft close seat
Saved me today! Just loosed my one piece for cleaning, and heard a drop of screw head, then dumbfounded how to reach the back cause there is no space at all! This one clearly showed how mechanical parts needed to hold the seat. Thank you!
Thank you! It’s been so hard to find a video on how to replace a toilet seat for the concealed/clean line toilet. This is the best video! You also taught me about the quick release for cleaning… I never knew!
Brilliant video! I hadn't changed a seat since the 1970s and my earlier efforts involved inserting a plastic bolt then reaching under the seat to do up a nylon wingnut. However, our newer pan doesn't have any exposed area underneath and I was a bit scared the whole pan might have to come out, which would be beyond my capability and expensive! But this chap showed the way and the new seat is safely installed!
So glad the video helped!
Brilliant instruction video. Thank you so much for putting this online. I couldn't even get the old seat off, with its hidden fixings, before watching this. So it has shown me how to remove the old and then fit the new. My new fixings were slightly different but this advice still worked for mine. Very clear and easy to follow. Thank you!
Excellent, thank you for such a clear and efficient presentation. Bea
Thanks so much for this clear, concise instructional video. I had NO IDEA how to tighten my loose loo seat. After watching your video (thank god it was the first video I stumbled across) I fixed my toilet seat like a professional 😂. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
Fantastic instruction video - just one thing, in a real life situation I highly recommend putting a few layers of cling film across the bowl to seal the top - I always do that first having been caught out once as a screw disappeared into the depths of the bowl! Oops!
Sounds like a good idea
Yes to prevent dropping into the bowl
Having almost done that myself I can concur with this whole post 😂
I'm always dropping into the bowl
I never thought of that but im defs doing it!!!
Thank you Jordan. The instruction, visuals and pace was very good. This was a first time for me doing anything like this and you made it easier for me.
Thank you so very much for this video. I have been trying to figure it out for ages, and when you pointed out that the seat could be released with a simple pressing of the buttons, it was PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!
Happy to help!
Thank you so much Jordan...I didn't know how simple and straight forward that is. You have demonstrated so perfectly exactly what I wanted to know. You have really helped me. My Ebay seller did not help me at all...lol
Thank you, Jordan. You made it easy for this highly ungifted , mechanically challenged gentleman!
So glad you found this helpful :)
Thank you! I've been struggling with this for months and finally got it sorted thanks to this video!
That was brilliant. I have watched quite a few instructional TH-cam's and this is the only one I found to be of great help. Thank you. 😊
Thank you so much, you have saved us endless trips back and forwards to the hardware shop.
Great to hear!
Thank you for the excellent explanation and guide to tackling what seemed an impossible task. Job done!
Exactly what was needed for a blind mount toilet. Thank you!
Thank you for this, I have been struggling to get the cover off my fitting. Hot water on a cloth over the fitting for a few minutes and it came off fairly easily. My toilet seat no longer wobbles 😀
Finally one that explains what to do!!!!
Thank you for your video. Despite the differences in mounting kits, your instruction helped a lot.
Absolutely the best video instruction for this type of toilet. I have been looking for ages for this so thanks Jordan
We are glad it helped!
Your video is excellent! It saved me a headache of pain trying to troubleshoot how to remove my toilet seat. Thank you! Keep sharing your knowledge it is definitely appreciated!
Thanks for your feedback!
I would be grateful for your help. I can’t get my existing toilet seat off as the screws just keep turning and not loosening. Any ideas? Thanks
You could try lifting up the pin and disc with pliers or your hand to put pressure on the underside of the screw, then unscrew while adding pressure. We hope this helps.
Thank you so much for this helpful video. That's what I was just looking for.
Glad it was helpful!
Truly amazing and clear instruction provided
Many thanks to you guys 🎉
Brilliant... plain and clear. Just what I was looking for. Thank you.
I have watched 100 of videoes in youtube but finally your video helped me. Thanks
Thank you so much for this video!!! I was able to fix our toilet seat which was sliding around for months, making a huge noise every time we sat on it and whacking us on the back in the process 😅. Very grateful for this simple video 🙏🙏💕
we're so glad it helped!
Excellent instructions! Clear and precise.
Great instruction, precise and to the points
Very handy video to explain top fixing kit , my toilet is enclosed and has no access to use bottom fixings , hadn't seen top fixing kit before so video helped alot
This video is a revelation!! I've has a broken seat for years and no idea how to change it because it had no visible underneath nut to untighten. I've looked everywhere but obviously it helps to know what things are called!!
Please consider renaming your video to mention "blind screw fixing" or "internal fixing" or "no visible underneath screw" or something more helpful. There are millions of TH-cam videos about changing toilet seats and NONE that contain the same content as yours.
Thank you so very much!!!!!!!🎉
Excellent Instructions - Perhaps you might also could have explained how to get the piece that you pushed below.
Jordan, thank you for your brilliantly clear and concise demonstration. Problem solved because you revealed what was in the “black box” (or, in this case, under the silver disc!) cheers mate.
Glad we could help!
Thanks Jordan for the excellent tutorial I can now change my toilet seat 👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻thanks
Great helpful video just what I needed to fix seat thanks had broken bolt to replace all o er videos just showed how to tighten existing fittings this showed how to replace all fixtures .
Thanks so much for posting this. I had no idea I could do this so easily. The only part that didn't match my new seat was needing to push in the rubber/silicone bit with a screw driver rather than screw it on prior to inserting.
Thank you very much. Your explanation just made it look easy and simple
Very useful information. Your video saved time and money. Thank you
This was just what we needed to know - thank you so much for demystifying this process!
This is the best video and we have put our new toilet seat on…….. thank you so much
I had to remove one of these and it's pretty dirty and a bit rusty. I've take one off before, but I couldn't remember how I did it. I knew the screws were under the metal caps but they wouldn't come off and I didn't want to break it. Seeing this I knew what I had to do.
Thanks
Very helpful.. got all necessary minute details covered.. thanks a lot for sharing this
Great presentation, very clear instructions

OMFGGGG love you so much!!!!! I landed on your video and I'm saved. I cant thank you enough for the explanation of this sort of toilet seat repairs. It was doing my head in. I was thinking to myself, what sort of weird ass toilet this is, but now I think it's pretty amazing 😂💀

I cannot find any quick release buttons for the Wickes Phoenix soft close seat and plumber did not leave instruction leaflet. Any ideas?
Hi Jackie, probably best to contact Wickes. Good luck!
Hi there! Where can I purchase the plastic 'expanding piece' and the plastic 'nut' that you demonstrated in your video? The only fixing kit available to the public in NZ that I can find is at Bunnings and it comes with a wingnut that needs to be attached to the underside of the seat and I can't get to the underside of the seat! Please help!
Hi Tim, you could try Plumbline or Newtech in NZ for similar products. I hope that helps.
Brilliant m8, thank you.
Excellent video!! Is this seat a geberit or duravit seat?
Thanks! This is a Turner Hastings Narva toilet suite and seat.
Thank You so much!!
Thank you soo much
excellent thank you :)
Thanks for the video =)
Good work 👍
Thank you!
Thank you
Many many thanks.
Thanks for that Jordan... great job. I will have to head to bunnings to get a kit and fix my potty.... grrrr.....
I don't recall this being such a drama. Perhaps we have over engineered the good ole potty ... hahahahah
That's the easy part installing them how do you get them out if they're corroded
Hello.. can you make a video on how to remove these kinds of toilets? I have no idea how and when i look up how, these toilets all have a botton screw to unscrew. But mine is like this one and i dont know how to remove the toilet.
Please I need to know How to install this type of wc please
If the bolt corrodes and 1/2 is broken and stuck on the base, can you just push it through?
Yes, pushing it through would work
