Just ordered the 9.9 XO. The only thing I’m going to do is drop the RockShox reverb dropper. I don’t need it for S.E. MICHIGAN trails. Plus, the RSL seat post is 189 grams to the dropper, over 600 grams. Let’s go!

The cost of running a business is bonkers. There’s a lot of complexity bringing these bikes to market. I’m sure it’s justified. If it could be done cheaper someone would do it.

They've certainly gotten heavier. But the suspension, stiffness, and downhill ride quality have improved a lot. That's really the direction the industry has moved in.
