As a young-ish guy in my later 30s I’ve only discovered how gorgeous strat tones are in the last few years. I used to play metal stuff but now I’m all about those lovely Fender clean and crunch tones. There is a certain magic to them that doesn’t need to hide behind heavy distortion. It’s mind boggling to me that Fender stumbled upon these amazing sounds almost by accident. That’s not to say Leo was incompetent, but he wasn’t even a musician… these guitars were primarily designed for utility and modular construction. Somehow they all just happened to sound amazing too… their entire guitar line and their amps. Even Marshalls were full of Fender amp DNA.
Definitely some of the best tones I have ever heard on this channel. What an awesome combo!

You just changed my plans for Sunday. I just purchased a Martin D76 E that was not played for 44 years and I was looking forward to sitting in the back yard with it. Now I am going to need to break out my Black Strat Relic and wake up the neighbors! If I keep watching you videos I’ll never get back to my White Falcon 7595 to learn how to use the darn thing!

It's a comfort and joy to see Norm looking so good and healthy again. The Beatles Lennon and Harrison had matching sonic blue strats with tremelo so they would have had a different sonic pallet than the hardtail. Great sounding rig today, matches the vintage strat nicely.

My God, Man!! A portable crying generator if there ever was one. The strongest man alive would have trouble denying this machine! The guitar/amp/reverb combo just combines to smoke up a man's eyes...add in Lemmos Style and virtuosity, and you have something seldom seen. There is no way to put a dollar value on this. Thank you for sharing. Just Damn....only thing missing was Jens wooo hoooo...this one needed it!!!
oddly, i feel this hardtail would make an amazing jazz box.
I just want a vintage 50-60s hardtail Stratocaster. So bad. Sunburst with gold or vintage cream pickguard.
