- 袴の紐結びでもっとも一般的に使われている「十文字紐結び」を
紹介します。
長さ11cmの紙の縮尺を使うと、最後の十文字の形のバランスが一度で整いますので、試してみて下さい。

I find this fascinating only because I love Japanese culture and generally everything about it. Bit could you imagine having to get out of that quickly when you have to run to the bathroom?
You don't get out for all your toilet needs. For number one you can fold the leg up to your pipe. For number two you need to undress.

I'm studying iaido, and a lot of people told me that the obi should be as tight as possible, is that right?
Tight enough to hold your sword somewhat parallel to the ground. if your Obi is too loose the sword will want to swing up, if you get what I mean. But I see no reason to go as tight as it will go as you still need to breathe and move

I liked the vidio very much but what is the under belt called?
the belt itself is called the "himo" the back part of the hakama (the fat part) that is called a "koshi-ita" and that spoon looking thing on the koshi-ita that he stuck behind his belt when he started tying the second part of the hakama is called "hakama-dome"

In case you are still getting notifications from this channel, the under belt is NOT the himo. (Himo are the bands attached to the hakama.) The Japanese word for belts in general is "obi," and the particular style of belt worn under the hakama here is called a kaku obi.

普通、袴着用時の角帯は、一文字結びにします。
何故なら、一文字で結んでおかねば、園上に腰板が載せられないからです。
然るに、このビデオでは「浪人結び」の様な、仕上がりが「ペッちゃんこ」の結び方で、袴を着付けている。
こんな結び方で袴の腰板を帯に乗せるなんて、私は非常にびっくりしています。
一文字は儀式の時です。昔から袴着ける習慣の人は一文字はやりません。
少し見づらいので一回止めてもらえると嬉しいのですが
ポーズボタン／プレイボタンが、
普通のCDデッキやビデオデッキ、ラジカセの様に再生画面下にあるんだから、
自分で止めれば済む事でしょうに。
