Allen Vizzutti has performed in 30 countries and every state in the union with a wide range of artists and ensembles, including Chick Corea, Doc Severinsen, The NBC Tonight Show Band, the Airmen of Note, the Army Blues, Chuck Mangione, Woody Herman, Japans NHK Symphony Orchestra, and the Kosei Wind Orchestra. He performs on the Yamaha Xeno Trumpet. He has recorded both jazz and classical CDs, as well as performing on many motion picture soundtracks and TV shows, commercials, and recordings with artists such as Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, and Chick Corea.

No matter how difficult the peice is that he is playing, he looks like he could just fall asleep. Simply flawless.
So effortless. Vizzutti is a trumpet playing cyborg terminator from the future when brass players have taken over the earth.
Love the way Allen plays with such relaxed freedom of expression!
That's a lot of music to memorize for Mr. Vizzutti!

I don't know what's more impressive. The fact that he plays this effortlessly, or that he played it from memory. I couldn't see the music stand if there was one.
Don't see a stand either. And his eyes appear to be closed most of the time!
Oh man!!! You can't have but the highest amount of respect for Allen... His jazz is great, but this is just awesome! Love the effect he gets playing into the piano... One of my favorite parts :)
That's Allen Vizzutti, he doesn't make tuning mistakes. Those are quarter tones.

Nope, he's the artist in residence at USC and gives people in the trumpet studio lessons. They don't cost any extra.

Yes those are 1/4 tone fingerings. He demonstrated them at a recent clinic I attended!
He used the valve slides to lower them

This is his wife Laura Vizzutti. Can you image the talent they have passed along to their children! By the way her name is shown in the first second of the video.
Some people watch Jersey Shores and call it an activity... others team with their wives and tackle the most-difficult piece for trumpet+piano ever concocted. We are simply not worthy.

allen is awesome, but it seems like his sound is really blatty compared top his usual resonant and fluid sound that I love.... some of it here seems deliberately ronchy, but i like hisusual beautiful tone

Nathan Ost It changes the friction, or grip, on your lips. I've found a large change in playing when I've shaved mine. Something's better, some worse.

This guy is awesome but boy did those tuning mishaps make me cringe near the beginning.
