  • 1989 was a marvelous year for movies. It also brought us one of the best comic hero themes ever written, in my opinion. I'm happy to share this version of ‪@dannyelfman‬ 's amazing theme for Batman, which was also an opportunity for me to once again rebalance my template :-D

    Impressive work (such as the original track). My only remark would be about the panning that is sometime a bit drastic. Yet it brings clarity of course :)
    once again, respect !

      Thanks -- and also really interesting feedback! I'm actually not doing any panning in the template right now, so all the instruments are placed where the libraries have balanced them. That said, panning is something I do want to look into...

    Great job! The MIDI file would be nice. Or the Cubase project, even nicer :)

      Thanks! I'll put the midi up on Patreon soon. I'm not sure the Cubase project would make sense since it's all connected to VEPro...

      @@craigwentworthmusic Well, if the tracks are named after the right instrument, it's still better than the plain MIDI file. And if you used either VSL Epic Orchestra 2.0 or Synchron Prime Edition, then I can launch the VEP server and the instruments will be there.

    Hello,
    You have made a really nice cover here ! Would you mind if I use it for a TH-cam video ? (I'd like to use it to illustrate rushes of the roller coaster Gotham City Escape at Parque Warner)

      I don't own the copyright to this, but you can try. Perhaps just credit Danny Elfman for the original score, and a link to my channel would always be appreciated 👍

    Hey Craig! Great work on this one! I was looking for the midi files in your patreon, but I didn't find it. Is there a way to get the midi of this project? Thanks a lot!

      You know, this reminds me that I haven't uploaded nearly enough stuff to Patreon... I need to fix that. Keep your eyes peeled for updates!

    Why do you chose cubase over all other daws

    • @craigwentworthmusic
      @craigwentworthmusic  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That is an interesting question. There are several factors: The first is that the very first piece of music software I ever used was Cubase on an Atari 1040ST. It is the first time I'd ever connected a computer to a midi controller (our family Roland synthesizer at the time), and so it is a software that has remained with me iny.mind for as long as I have been playing. Second, I WAS a Logic user for a long time, but I fell out of love with Apple and made the switch Windows for my primary computer. Third, I just find the MIDI editing tools and usability of the software just "fits" with my brain and way of working. I never feel like Cubase is in the way of the process. So it's ultimately a very personal choice, not necessarily that it is "the best" DAW. But hey, if Hans Zimmer uses it, it can't be all bad 😂
