I enjoy this edit, but im gonna have to say some of the footage isn't "trick riding" nor "Mounted Archery" Some of the footage is from a barrel racing story and others is western pleasure.

Horse Impossible I’m aware of that. I do that because I need that for the calm parts of the song

I agree it did set me off at first, but the clips she chose I think work well, and finding these clips in good quality is very hard.

@@horsepower4861 haha sorry, most horse people are female so I tend to assume. I shouldn't do that, though

You can hurt a horse doing any discipline if you tried. The trick rides that were shown look like they were doing it properly so how does that even hurt the horse?

@@elsamoore8245 if you set up a horse right and train them right they can do almost anything, I have a 15.4 hh purebred registered Friesian and I do western and English, barrel racing, western pleasure, mounted archery, roping, reining, trail riding and then a small amount of English stuff, like I said if your horse is setup right and you get them pretty fit and strong they can do almost anything.

@@elsamoore8245 well I dont take lessons because you simply don't get them in south africa, one tip is start and practice on the ground for a month or so, get to know your bow, how it behaves when you shoot with 2 fingers or 3(I would recommend 3 because a bow with a heavy pull weight will kill your fingers ,1 above arrow, 2 under), start with the sight and practice not aiming for more then 10 seconds, or just quick drawing, look at your target while holding the bow down, and try and shoot as fast as you can but not using the sight still looking at your target with both eyes , your body will automatically aim at the target, also armgaurd, string hitting your arm hurts *alot*, can even cause severe bleeding under the skin, also when aiming with a sight, hand on your jaw line, that lesson they'll probably tell you how to shoot, dont move when you realise the arrow, release it as fast but as gently as you can so it doesn't change its angle while still on the nock, if you have a horse yourself you want do it with, get them used to the bow, just desensitise them about everything of the bow, then start with having someone hold them while just moving around with the bow, drawing it, the clanging of the arrows together, moving around, its a new shape that's on top of them so their gonna be spooky, your obviously not gonna be able to pick up your reins to halt them if they spook, talking and reassuring your horse is something alot people dont do, the day your horse spooks so badly they bolt, and you tell them to halt their gonna get a bigger fright of your voice screaming and go faster, talk to your horse use voice queues, a quiet rider is a dangerous horse, your gonna need to trust your horse to stand eventually when theirs nobody in the ring, also start in a training ring, not a riding ring(theirs a difference btw size), yea Ive only gotten as far as getting on with somebody, obviously walk while doing all drawing the bow, moving round, clanging the bow and arrows, you need to reassure your horse that that thing your hold is not gonna hurt them, yea probably all I got to stay, also if your horse bolts, push yourself against the back of your, extend you legs all the way, much much easier in a western saddle with the stirrups right, English people ride with extremely short stirrups compared to western so yea, I could write a whole book in this comment about advice but its gonna be way to long.
