You are very right in your assessment. Coming from overseas, this differences are very apparent. Having stayed in Canada for over 8 years, i think we need to adapt and embrace the culture of this country instead of comparing. As more people migrate to Canada, things will eventually improve

Khoobsurat and Laadis, scarborough are two good salons (for eyebrow threading etc.). I have never changed my salon since i discovered them 12 yrs back. I recently moved to Pickering yet I take the time and effort to go to them even if its just for this one job thats how good they are.
When I was in Brampton I also felt that issue, but Winnipeg I found best service, Barber takes his time and does not rush and they book appointments accordingly.
I have been going to Maya Hair Salon (Hurontario and Dundas) in Mississauga. Raj and Maya are from Nepal and Raj gave me the best haircut so far, in Canada.

Totally agree with you guys. Extremely difficult to get salon service like India even though u are ready to pay more.
Tried several Desi places including Brampton but no one knows the styling like we get in India.
That’s why I prefer Chinese salons. They are not only cheap but they are best when it comes to haircut.
We lived in Mississauga for a year or so..and I would visit Angel beauty salon in Brampton for eyebrow and wax they were good and reasonably priced.. and now we live in Waterdown and their is a eyebrow studio called “the fix @299” for eyebrow she is amzingggggg😊
There is one beauty shop in the to Saravana bhavan complex, they do threading. N those r Indian ladies.
Bhai agar apko service matter Kartee hai to pay at least $10 tip and go to one person and never ask price over the phone, how much you charge.
And for the eyebrows my wife in our salon she spends 15 minutes for eyebrows and ladies ask over the phone how much you charge for eyebrows, it can be $5 or $10 , we charge $10 some women say over the phone ohh no that's too much.
So make sure , when you go to salon tell them price doesn't matter,service matter.
They won't charge you extra. But will help you.
Another thing always go early appointment, I mean in the morning don't go in the evening. People get tired by then.

But, I found the gem. Ask for Rahul at The Barber’s Chair, Erin Mills Town centre, Mississauga.
Diii delhi jesa hair dresser/ parlour vali didi aaj tak Nai mila in Canada from past 2 years now, luckily found a salon who does threading. So eyebrows Bach gyi meri 😂😅. Love from London, Ontario ☺️
Also, I pay 18$ + tip for just eyebrow threading here.
Gurulaxmi is also good for south indian food.
So after trying some 35 odd salons, I've finally found one in Oakville named Hairtistic Salon & Spa. You'll love their service, I travel all the way from Caledon just for the service they offer and since this guy is a professional and knows Hindi, the haircut experience becomes even better. Try them next time and let me know your experience.

I can completely relate as I have struggled with my haircuts since coming to Canada. Couple of tips.. if you go to a saloon, they try to make it about the experience and charge more for underwhelming haircuts. Where as if you go to barber shops they are generally cheaper than salons and give better cuts. Ofcourse check ratings and reviews on Google before going anywhere. Lastly, in these Covid times, I just bought a haircut kit for around $65 and started cutting my own hair. Even with zero experience I was more satisfied with the haircut I gave myself. Maybe try doing that, it’s not as hard as it may seem. Good luck and keep making great content!
Thanks for sharing the honest opinion and its very difficult to express when you are not happy with the hair cut or what you are looking for. I am facing the similar issue from past 2.6 years in Mississauga and searching for perfect match. I can feel your pain. Since I came to Canada in 2004 use to go to her. My son had his first haircut till age 10 yrs. As we have now moved to Windsor.... So back to the same problem. She works with appt to and is extremely good. Good Luck 🤞
Manpreet - go to Etobicoke. The parlour name is Saloni beautiful salon. Her name is Aamra (not exactly sure but near by this name) but she really do nice eyebrows. Most of the ladies prefers her. The rate is also cheaper.
i moved to Canada only in March 2020. And i M finicky about my hair cut, i preferred to not get it cut because i couldn’t find one salon with mostly good reviews. The reviews are so confusing, i felt some good ones were fake.
And now i have the longest hair i ever had. I completely get what you are saying!
100% agreed, the problem is the training, they hardly get trained for 3 months before they try their hands on customers.
Wow that was very relatable, I'm from Delhi too and find salon service really below average here. You can give Kreative Cuts in brampton a try if u r still searching, they will atleast listen to what u need and try to come close. But mein bhi delhi jane ka hi wait kr rha hu 😂

Edited- I am dissatisfied with the fact that they do not do razor shave everywhere here.. I have been doing on my own for over a year now and couldn't be happier.
I would say don't be upset. I feel you need to adjust your expectations to be able to be content living in Canada. Else in long term it become intolerable. If people start adjusting expectation back in India then you would feel that you are in heaven.
@@prakashbhushan7561 I'm well content with my life here in Canada. Been over 3yrs now and cannot be happier with where I find myself today. I come from the Middle East precisely, where the life is very different to that in India and hence I was basing my judgement on that. Having said that, I moved here with the thought in mind that everything is not going to be the same and most of the things must be done on your own.
However, given the desi population here, it amazes me how they do not have 1 salon where that at least comes a little close to what we expect.
Probably no one moving from our side of the word wants to come here and become a barber. Or probably barbers are not the target group for Canadian government.
And lastly canada doesn't want to change with the new mix of people but rather expects people immigrating to adapt to Canadian ways.
But I do get you comparison and agree with respect to barbers or for that matter many other services that are not up to the mark. And more so if you bring cost into consideration.

@Ram Purshottam that is your call to go or not to go... Every country has a handful of people who differentiate and are racist and hence everyone has their own experience. My experience for 26yrs was amazing and I have nothing bad to talk about the Middle East as it played a big role in making me what I'm today, Education, Friends, Career, Family and much more!

Maya at Maya Beauty Salon also does the best eyebrows. I have been going to her for 5 years. I cannot let anyone else touch my eyebrows. Location is Hurontario and King in Mississauga.

by female mostly. They see to it that there is no touch to customers. No proper haircut can be done without physical touch to customers.
Bhai aapka choley bhature and haircut ka dard 100% true hai...pressure nai lena, koi na koi mil jaega...there's a lady on marketplace who has her add up as 'delhi waale choke bhature' ...wouldn't say it's anywhere close but it was closest I could get here...for haircut there's one in mississauga...I will have to call you for that...how can I contact you?

Sorry to see your hair saloon experience was not good. Its been 7 yrs in Canada and I was not able to find a suitable hair stylist for myself. Every time I get my hair cut with new person, I have made my peace with it. In Milton there are ladies who run ladies saloon services. If needed I can get contact from my wife and share it (if need it).

100% true... what you are saying everything is true such a bad service in canada in regular saloon they charge 100$ for wax nd they complete full body in 10 mins they go so fast that pains alot,, also hairs start growing back in 2/3 days after wax...😞😞😞😞 kash flights cheap hoti india ki toh bnda hr month bad jake baha esi chheze krva leta....🙈
