I like how they job starts as a horrible mess of rust and holes with no clear path forward, and ends with a couple of complex shaped pieces of metal neatly stitched into place like it was always meant to be that way. This channel shows what real skill and artistry with metalwork really is !

I am a BMW tech in Texas and those e30s are such a pain in the ass! Much respect for your work because its never simple, parts are not available and nobody understands what we do so they can't appreciate the minor victories on these barnacles.

@redfields5070 I said some not all. Plus even if there are equally skilled craftsmen they don't funnel it into the same awesome specialist shops as in the UK. The legend of "Men in Sheds" is kinda exclusive to the UK.

I just keep wondering how this is cost effective. Is that BMW really worth the time and expense of fixing all that rust? How special is that car to Colin? Is this the car where he had his first backseat encounter with a girlfriend perhaps?
And then the engine and hoses and rubber and plastic parts............. Why?
I'm clearly not a car guy and don't understand the WHY.
