  • Mitch and I explore some of the changes to the trails on the west side of the park. Some changes are occurring naturally but most were thanks to the hard work of the Sooke Bike Club. Thanks so much for all of their hard work. The improvement to the trails are extraordinary.

    I can't wait to check those trails out. It's been years since I rode Harbourview. I think the last time may have been when I borrowed your V-10, which seemed ginormous at the time but was probably a lot smaller than your current Firebird.

      If my Firebird ate that V-10 for dinner it would have to stop at Macdonald’s after because it would still be starving.

    Would love to have a rip down this. Looks as though it has so much flow. Rad amount of features too!

    GT1 and 2 combine is a great flow trail now easy to carry speed even with the rock rolls. Glad you like the changes taking place. I hear a rumour that an Enduro race maybe on the card in the fall at Harbourview.

      The Sooke Bike Club did a fantastic job sprucing up those trails. I love that they built a new very similar jump on GT1 but left the old one there. I never hit the old one. I couldn’t figure out the run in. Now like you said it’s a fantastic flow trail that you can hold pretty good speed on!

      @@ThisIsGoingDownhillI cased the hell out the old line every time too. More changes to come to the top section of GT1 in the coming weeks. Then additional work will start on ZigZag followed by 3 bears. Keep the videos coming and may see you on the trails.

      You are right! It’s running so good right now. Actually went to film it last weekend but it was a monsoon. So that didn’t happen.

      @@ThisIsGoingDownhill I did Pandemic a couple of times. It's a trail you really have to know to go fast. Not sure if there are other really good trails there?

    • @ThisIsGoingDownhill
      @ThisIsGoingDownhill  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is another really good one but I know that I am not suppose to film it and that’s about as much as I can say.😉

    Great riding, looks like Harbourview has a lot of tech. Do they have any flow trails?

    • @ThisIsGoingDownhill
      @ThisIsGoingDownhill  ปีที่แล้ว

      The last trail in this video is the closest to a flow trail that Harbourview has to offer.

      @@ThisIsGoingDownhill Thanks for the reply, I didn't see it until now. Looking to bring my wife to ride in the Sooke, Victoria area, is there a flow trail you would recommend. More blue ish?

      @@randomgoodnessca Definitely go check out the Jordie Lunn Bike Park. More specifically the Langford Gravity Zone. Small contained trail network with a few Flow trails of all skill levels.

    what camara setup are you using and what setting if your using a gropro?

    • @ThisIsGoingDownhill
      @ThisIsGoingDownhill  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have a GoPro 6 on a chest mounted gimbal (Karma Grip with adapter) and a GoPro 9 fitted with lens and media mods under the visor of my helmet. The audio is coming from the Hero 9 with mod. The gimballed GoPro is on 4K 30fps Superview 16:9 auto settings. The Hero 9 is set to Horizon Lock (only optional with lens mod) and 2.7K 30fps 4:3 Superview. I think I may have raised the exposure on that camera but that’s about it.
