Heroes are not permitted to kill, they only arrest and apprehend only those selected by higher up can do so (but secretly, and only if necessary) Example is Hawks. Why do you think Almight (No. 1 Hero mind you) didnt kill AFO.
I would say that Allmight was trying to kill AFO. He thought he had in their first fight. We also see Endeavor kill several nomu, but there are enough other factors there I can discount that for the most part. They definitely are not SUPPOSED to kill, but they definitely can apply lethal force, and there is some leeway in that. Edgeshot pokes a hole in peoples lungs and says if you move too much, you will die. That is not a move you make if you are 100% against killing.
All Might THOUGHT he killed AFO. He LITERALLY BLEW HIS BRAINS OUT. All for One had his grey matter and pink stuff on the FLOOR after All Might BLEW HIS HEAD UP with a strong punch (after he had his stomach ripped out by AFO ofc, hysterical strength but Nr. 1 hero edition is a crazy drug)
I mean we have the advantage of knowing that this is a show and killing off the main villain would be anti-climatic. Not to mention that we know things that the Hero's do not. He checked the corpse and confirmed that he didn't have a heartbeat. I'd imagine it wouldn't look good if he shot him up post mortem on the grounds of "Just to be sure".
But... like... X-less couldn't do anything regardless of him getting distracted for a few seconds tho. What do you want him to do? React faster than the speed of electricity? He also didn't know that a small amount of electrical current would be enough to revive him so it's not his fault that he didn't know. He literally felt his heart beat stop and he probably thought Shiggy was already dead. He found the motionless body of the bad guy, he stuck with it to guard it, but due to unfortunate circumstance (and plot armor), shiggy was revived by a stray jolt of electricity. My man X-less did nothing wrong.
With Shigaraki he didn't stop with his dad and didn't even start with him plus no matter what if you genuenly enyoy killing anyone for any reason then you probably are a bad person. You can like Tomura more than is dad but if you genuenly belive he has a moral highground then you are genuenly deluded and need help. Plus if Tomura died it would have been better for everyone. Also can't say why but X-less did nothing wrong.
yeah, Shiggy is a monster now. Decay at full strength by itself is terrifying, but now he has every SINGLE quirk that AFO has gathered over his stupidly long life in the shadows. it's not just the second coming of AFO, it's AFO if he was hell-bent on destroying everything he sees instead of trying to rule over it like some god. max power Shiggy is infinitely more scary in my eyes because he does not care about laying waste to everything around him, while AFO actually wants to make a twisted power-based kingdom to reign supreme over. also with that shot of everyone holding him back in his memory-scape, we now have confirmation as to which hands belonged to who and where he wore them in his villain outfit
Watching this episode made me realize Alicia would probably really like Young Justice..I don't know why it sprung to mind here of all things but it did.
a lot of ppl are demanding the impossible from x less lmao he couldn't kill shigi even if he tries remember his body is modified but I guess ppl wanted him to atlest tries it
WHY IS NANA IN THE FLASHBACK?! That means he is wearing Nana’s hand! And that mystery 5th hand? Likely Nana’s. So what does that say about decay when someone dead long before he was born is in the same condition as his family members? AFO what did you do?!
@@iampotsataja 2 hands for each thug, 1 mystery hand AFO offered as a bonus with no answer. The family’s hands were offered prior to the 5 hands in full pairs and he destroyed I BELIEVE his father’s hand in front of us because he’s the only one grabbing Shigaraki with 1 hand. That’s why he was wearing all of them when he decayed the thugs.
The doctor said they were really after Erasure quirk; does this imply he had a hand in Shirakumo’s death but wanted to killed Aizawa instead? I haven’t read the manga but most of us speculated Hawks must have some connection to Endeavor and/or Dabi. Season 4 debunks any happy relationship/connection they must have. Endeavor acted very negative towards Hawks. Endeavor says he can’t stand bastards like Hawks. He also wanted nothing to do with Hawks until that High End fight.
Yes that is the implication, the doctor and All For One tried to kill Aizawa to steal his body but when they got the wrong kid they just took his body instead. It’s wild to think how much worse things would be if Aizawa was the first Nomu instead.
Endeavor did not. “beat the shit out of his wife“ he struck her one time that was shown, every other instance of Todoroki’s past what is shown as intimidation or a more psychological abuse. The fight at the end of season four had scenes interspersed with the Todoroki Family, and it is very clear that the mother does not fear endeavor. The example being the flower he brings and the expression she has about her, mentioning that it’s her favorite one time and he brought it. I’m not saying this, as an endeavor, apologist, what he did was terrible, and should never of happened, but blatantly misrepresenting what happened is not something I will allow.
He most definitely abused her physically more than what we see. Pushes, shoves, slaps. There is no way he didn't. Alicia is using a hyperbole to make a point. Not "blatantly misrepresenting". She CLEARLY understands the nuance of his character and has understood him since the very beginning, don't assume she doesn't.
Endeavor is such a great character. He was an asshole, a pos. But he's trying to be something more. He's forever tainted. But it doesn't mean everything he does now is a bad thing. In fact, he's doing everything he can to be better. And for someone that has acted that monstrously, that really is all we can ask. Our denouncing of his actions will never change what happened. All we can do is allow him to make up for it, or compensate, as best as possible. We can then choose if his reformed self is someone we deem worthy of including in our lives. Likely, he'll never forgive himself. We may never forgive him. But he can still do good. And it's up to us if we want to allow him to have an effect on our lives. In my opinion, he seems like he's genuinely changed. Of course, as a viewer, I have a more omniscient perspective. But I like the opportunity to remove myself from the situation and view it objectively. Endeavor wants to do better by his family. And he's doing it without forcing them to accept it. He's leaving it open to them whether they want to accept him or not. That is crazy-mature. I can't say I would do the same. I'd be selfish enough to bug them to find out if what I'm doing matters. And maybe that's a point of reflection for me. Maybe I still have growing to do. Overall, the fact that this situation has me considering everything in such a critical way is a testament to the writing. These characters are genuine proxies of everyday issues, and the story represents a way to process it. But with the other characters, it also references other ways to process it.
Unfortunately the story can't just end right here with X guy shooting a dead guy in the head, so let's just say his actions were a necessary sacrifice, both so the villains can make a comeback, and so the heroes we're actually attached don't get the blame X guy did.
The Shigaraki dream sequence is pretty cool but it makes me wonder of AFO seriously kept one of Nana's hands after killing her, since its hinted that the one that's usually touching the back of his head is Nana.
I feel like you're being waaaay too harsh on the hero who didn't kill Shigaraki. Lmao. They didn't even kill All For One - a way worse known villain to the country at large - so why would it be their intention to go in and kill a kid? Hawks is the only one who seems prepared to any degree to kill anyone at all.
When I saw those moments that shigaraki was having in his head It did show the good side to it from the people he cares about but the only bad side was his father the man who keeps hurting his son because of what he hates heroes and that he pushed Shigaraki too far because of his anger and now He has a killer instinct where anytime he’s ever threatened by anyone he kills them.
I mean, X-Less should've at least TRIED to fry Shigaraki's brain with his eye-laser thingy but let's be honest, he wouldn't have done shit to him. All For One was able to fight face to face with All Might in his prime and he survived, if Shiggy now has that quirk I don't think a simple laser could even singe his skin at this point. Also, in the manga, this whole sequence of events happened over the course of 3-4 chapters and immediately after Shiggy wakes up the following chapter went back to the situation between Hawks and Dabi or something like that, so we had to wait a week or two to see the aftermath of this episode. I remember dozens of meme posts on Reddit that said "Don't worry guys, X-Less is still alive" and stuff like that. Everyone knew he was dead as fuck the moment Shiggy woke up, but he was technically still alive (more like in a sort of limbo) for a week, or however long it took for the next chapter to come out lol
While I don't mind X-Cross investigating, I can't even be upset I have that same energy with other characters/games pff, go off. But yeah the two reveals with the Doctor and OfA are crazy. It also shows OFA is at least a century old since he could live twice as long. I love Mic punching the doctor for "authenticity" too. The fight continues next time, thanks for the video!
No body, can't confirm the death... ... and even if there *is* a body and you _do_ confirm they're dead, then it becomes a matter of whether it's the kind of show where that kind of thing sticks, or if the characters are all just Deathlon-Coated Pans.
Mirko is the Baddest B*tch in this series! This season (And events in the next season) cement that as fact. Also, I don't see how anyone who's actually watched this can complain about the later seasons having a lower budget or being drawn badly. Have you seen this sh*t?! IT's so bad-ass!
I am all about honest reactions and having opinions, but sometimes you really do be getting mad at scenarios you made up in your head. =p But I wouldn't change a thing about you. Keep being yourself. I'm still watching.
Btw jet was literally there in the first episode when the detective guy was giving the speech about the hostpital and stuff I can’t believe you didnt notice him
I don't remember if that cable with electricity was there because x-less destroyed a machine or because mic did, but wouldn't that same electricity (strong enough to work like a defibrillator for shigaraki) hurt in some way to x-less? I mean, they are both touching the same water... Also, while I'm with you in "killing the bad guy save people", the heroes here are waaaay too idealistic to do that, that's why dabi said that to hawks. Also also, Mirko best girl AND best character in this series, fight someone else
The electricity was due to x less destroying the machine. It would be later explained that the electricity was very weak and had no actual effect on Shigaraki or x less. Shigaraki is also extra durable due to the modified nomu body that he has now
The thing is, Shigi boy is pretty much the main evil guy, expecting a mob level dude to so much as scratch him is simply delusional behavior. Last episode she even had a whole mini rant about that generic ass hero trying to defeat Toga and Mr. Compress. This 180 on her expectations is way too stupid.
23:50 to be fair i think trying to kill Endeavor, the future No. 1 Hero, as a child is wild 😭 im surprised that no one pressed him besides his wife tho
It gets explained later but... Major information spoiler S P O I L E R . . The electricity from whatever power source that touched Tomura is not the one that caused him to awaken It was on an output so miniscule it wasn't even felt by X-less that was in the same water puddle as Tomura's body, let alone revive a body without a heartbeat. Narrator Deku from future described that it was Tomura's hatred and desire to destroy the present that caused his awakening... But I blame to AFO on stirring Tomura's malice even on his coma world 😂
Dabi is about to turn Hawks into an overcooked chicken I like how last episode, Fatgum was like, "We don't have to worry about Gigantomachia. Shigaraki's asleep." Then that boy literally rose from the dead because of his dream. Which ironically sounds like something that would happen to a hero. The villain would normally push them to their limits before they have some sort of inner monologue and flashback in their head. Then they come back with a renewed spirit. But Horikoshi loves to take common tropes and have the villains use it instead. And now, it's *his* turn It's just a visual thing but I like the idea that Deku's Vestige world was really dark and gloomy. But Shigaraki's is really bright but fragmented. I think his family appearing sort of represents his inner consciousness. The desire he had as a child to become a hero. All of his family, even his father, is trying to keep him away from AFO. And it makes me think back to his monologue during MVA. Where he thinks, if anyone besides AFO had reached out to him, maybe the itching he had would've stopped. Both tragedy and destruction made him into who he is. And now he's going to inflict that on the world.
Hawks did kill Twice, yes, but that was because he thought there was no way to stop him peacefully without him wreaking massive havoc with his quirk. Whether it's the right call or not, the heroes in this show avoid killing whenever possible due to their morals. While Shigaraki is a massive threat that can kill millions, he WAS inactive and unconscious, and the heroes thought there was a possibility he could be safely imprisoned without him waking up. They don't have the context of 'oh the anime villain wouldn't be stopped that easily, he's definitely gonna wake up' that we have as anime viewers Also, I wouldn't say X-Less was 'distracted by pretty LED lights' as much as 'doing his job as a hero and trying to analyze the situation, it's just that he made a bad judgement/mistake'. He definitely messed up, but I think dunking on him and calling him the dumbest character is a little harsh
No offense but you dont really get bnha do you? Word of advice, dont think of it as something like jjk or bleach or chainsawman. Especially for the villains lol. you'll either go through the rest of the series with disappointment or confusion or both
Basically what I mean is that while there are certainly mature themes and some dark moments, the series as a whole is not dark nor will it be come like Invincible or the Boys. Also, it has been said, but no heroes dont kill. Thisll be somewhat addressed later but even then its not explicitly said so just saying lol
You're gonna realize... X-eye or whatever is EVEN worse next episode. If he wasn't even there and Shiggy was left alone it would've been better. Also, you don't even have to kill shiggy right there, literally just lift him out of the purple. That's it. That's all that's needed.
Yeah but didn't the show say later that this didn't matter ? Something like : it was is own hatred that awakened him ? (I think it's at the end of this battle, with Deku narrating it, X-less didn't even feel it too)
@@JackAglet to be fair, we didn't know at the time and he really did look like that spark wake Shigi up. (Also saw a comment talk about Shigi being a nomu, so killing him would be difficult too...)

I'm glad you do call out the writing decisions sometimes like with X-Less, tbh, I have a lot of those issues with the series writing in general starting from this point but I wonder how you'll find the arc overall
X less can’t even kill Shigaraki anyways. Shigaraki has a super durable body and he can also survive decapitation. Also somewhat of a spoiler but the electricity didn’t affect Shigaraki. He literally woke himself up from pure hatred as explained later
Further more. The very fact that they put AllforOne in prison, although they could have done away with him long ago, also speaks of their lack of foresight. Moreover, as it turned out, almost all the defeated criminals... are simply sitting in prison!!! What nonsense. Why not just eliminate them!!?? It's too risky to leave them alive. This is why I abandoned this anime. It is too illogical and stupid in this regard. Yes, yes, there will be those who will start saying that they are heroes, and heroes do not kill. Sure, not a problem. Heroes don't kill, but the government can execute. Everything is elementary. Leaving such dangerous people alive is a neglect of one's duty to protect the nation. This is cynicism.
I mean, beyond the basis of it being a superhero style show and going for the trope of the rouge's gallery that cycles in and out of prison, I don't think it's that strange. Even if you are sentenced to be executed the wait time between being executed and getting sentenced to death can be like an entire decade, and in the case of All For One it's doubtful that they have any conventional means to execute him with. I think the risky nature of their choices reflects the arrogance within their society that Shigaraki preaches against so much, they've stayed rather civil in usage of criminal law in cases where scale of risk may out class it because they're so comfortable with the system as it works they have no protocol for something outside of it.
@@KanKerrai Exactly, it's arrogance. They're so comfortable that they see a threat of AFO's scale and think the system can't fail because it hasn't failed yet. They genuinely don't think their survival is threatened until it's thrusting into their faces.

1 hero edition is a crazy drug)
yo pump the hate brakes women. The laser eye dude maybe was a side character but he didn't do anything wrong
Yo leave my man lazer eye alone he ain’t do nothing
I mean we have the advantage of knowing that this is a show and killing off the main villain would be anti-climatic. Not to mention that we know things that the Hero's do not. He checked the corpse and confirmed that he didn't have a heartbeat. I'd imagine it wouldn't look good if he shot him up post mortem on the grounds of "Just to be sure".
X less can’t kill Shigaraki either way. He has a modified nomu body at this point
What a wack argument lmao
Bro leave lazer eye man alone that dj dude could have done the same thing but he didn’t…
Lazer man is best man in the show let the haters hate fr
You are right he could have done the same thing! Point still stands. They are both trash lmao
In the world of Theatrical Black and White: Villians Kill, Heros Save/Arrest.
That simple.
But...
Yes!
a lot of ppl are demanding the impossible from x less lmao he couldn't kill shigi even if he tries remember his body is modified but I guess ppl wanted him to atlest tries it
CAN WE GET A W FOR X-LESS IN THE COMMENTS! Respect that Alicia can have an opinion! Plus Ultra!
WHY IS NANA IN THE FLASHBACK?! That means he is wearing Nana’s hand! And that mystery 5th hand? Likely Nana’s. So what does that say about decay when someone dead long before he was born is in the same condition as his family members? AFO what did you do?!
Mom, dad, sister, granpa, granma, I count 5
@@iampotsataja 2 hands for each thug, 1 mystery hand AFO offered as a bonus with no answer. The family’s hands were offered prior to the 5 hands in full pairs and he destroyed I BELIEVE his father’s hand in front of us because he’s the only one grabbing Shigaraki with 1 hand. That’s why he was wearing all of them when he decayed the thugs.
It may turn out that destroying that machine at the end was a really good decision.
Would you be this mad at Deku for not ruthlessly decapitating what he believed to be a corpse?
24:26 Wait does that mean when AFO fought All Might back in season 3 he had Duplicate of his quirk?
Yep, since his first appearance in the present day he’s been using a duplicate version of his quirk. The original has been on ice until now.
Waiting for when Dabi gets sturdy in an upcoming episode
Damn man...the X-less slander just doesn't stop, huh? Lmao
Alicia, Heroes aren't allowed to kill.
To be fair, they could have secured the corpse. Hell, there was a special training exercise at UA ABOUT securing the supposed corpse.
What’s so weird about the “Dabi knows Hawks’s name” thing is the explanation just raises more questions.
Things have been getting darker and darker, but at least we received an odd taxi ride for compensation.
Ngl even if Lazer dude tried to kill him idk if it'd work
Unfortunately the story can't just end right here with X guy shooting a dead guy in the head, so let's just say his actions were a necessary sacrifice, both so the villains can make a comeback, and so the heroes we're actually attached don't get the blame X guy did.
Shigaraki has a nomu body. X less can’t kill him either way tbh
The Shigaraki dream sequence is pretty cool but it makes me wonder of AFO seriously kept one of Nana's hands after killing her, since its hinted that the one that's usually touching the back of his head is Nana.
It also makes sense when you go back to the OFA vs AFO fight that AFO was not very mobile and the life force quirk explains it
i cant wait for the next episode, it feels like im watching these for the first time again when i see your reactions, thank you
“i’m so smart!” *theory is wrong* LOL
Alicia you putting X Less on blast for some bullshit damm
lol, I was not expecting X-less of all characters to be the controversial one during this early part of the arc :P
As a manga reader, I can do nothing but chuckle. I ain’t gonna spoil shit, just ruins the fun.
At 23:17 Its funny she said this for chigaraki's dad and say something else for todoroki's dad 🙈🤣🤣
If I remember correctly, that not just some "lgb lights" but part of a bigger things, so I can't wait to see how you react to that after ^^.
And now the host can notice he has guests to attend to. The party has truly begun.
But I wouldn't change a thing about you. Keep being yourself. I'm still watching.
Btw jet was literally there in the first episode when the detective guy was giving the speech about the hostpital and stuff
I can’t believe you didnt notice him
I don't remember if that cable with electricity was there because x-less destroyed a machine or because mic did, but wouldn't that same electricity (strong enough to work like a defibrillator for shigaraki) hurt in some way to x-less? I mean, they are both touching the same water...
Also, while I'm with you in "killing the bad guy save people", the heroes here are waaaay too idealistic to do that, that's why dabi said that to hawks.
Also also, Mirko best girl AND best character in this series, fight someone else
The electricity was due to x less destroying the machine. It would be later explained that the electricity was very weak and had no actual effect on Shigaraki or x less. Shigaraki is also extra durable due to the modified nomu body that he has now
I'll defend X-Less with all that I have. But I will admit, they ALL should've double tapped.
Dabi is lying about his tear glands, by the way.
No he isn't? When he cries, he cries blood because of his burnt tear glands
@@noske6388 Yeah, but he can still cry. He's pretending like he can't cry at all because his tear glands are burned.
23:50 to be fair i think trying to kill Endeavor, the future No. 1 Hero, as a child is wild 😭 im surprised that no one pressed him besides his wife tho
It gets explained later but...

The electricity from whatever power source that touched Tomura is not the one that caused him to awaken
It was on an output so miniscule it wasn't even felt by X-less that was in the same water puddle as Tomura's body, let alone revive a body without a heartbeat.
Narrator Deku from future described that it was Tomura's hatred and desire to destroy the present that caused his awakening...
But I blame to AFO on stirring Tomura's malice even on his coma world 😂
When Endeavor might not be the worst dad in a series you know the series has some awful as hell dad's.
You thought last episode broke you, Alicia this entire season is going to fucking destroy you!
I was laughing like an idiot in this reaction lol
There's a few things I want to say but I gotta wait until the arc is over first 😅
Dabi is about to turn Hawks into an overcooked chicken
I like how last episode, Fatgum was like, "We don't have to worry about Gigantomachia. Shigaraki's asleep."
Then that boy literally rose from the dead because of his dream. Which ironically sounds like something that would happen to a hero. The villain would normally push them to their limits before they have some sort of inner monologue and flashback in their head. Then they come back with a renewed spirit. But Horikoshi loves to take common tropes and have the villains use it instead. And now, it's *his* turn
It's just a visual thing but I like the idea that Deku's Vestige world was really dark and gloomy.
This season is insane
She is not ready for the next few.
3:53 nope, You don't
This episode is crazyyy
I love this season, but, you will be stressed ALL season lololol. It's not going to let up.
Trauma countdown broken
Hawks did kill Twice, yes, but that was because he thought there was no way to stop him peacefully without him wreaking massive havoc with his quirk. Whether it's the right call or not, the heroes in this show avoid killing whenever possible due to their morals. While Shigaraki is a massive threat that can kill millions, he WAS inactive and unconscious, and the heroes thought there was a possibility he could be safely imprisoned without him waking up. They don't have the context of 'oh the anime villain wouldn't be stopped that easily, he's definitely gonna wake up' that we have as anime viewers
Also, I wouldn't say X-Less was 'distracted by pretty LED lights' as much as 'doing his job as a hero and trying to analyze the situation, it's just that he made a bad judgement/mistake'. He definitely messed up, but I think dunking on him and calling him the dumbest character is a little harsh
"If you don't see their body... you don't see a corpse"
Oh just wait 🥲
Since when Alicia has become this feral to kill someone? I like it...
Great reaction but L take on x less who did nothing wrong lol
You couldn't be more wrong even if you tried
Alicia over here like “I don’t care if his heart’s stopped. Double tap, bitch!” (For the record, I agree. Right call.)
Yeah Gazarbeam is holding both the the L's on the Hollywood sign for this F up. For real.😂
(I think it's at the end of this battle, with Deku narrating it, X-less didn't even feel it too)
What do you mean even worse next episode? He didn’t even do anything wrong in this episode.
@@Avariththat’s true. Shigaraki literally woke himself up due to pure hatred. It wasn’t because of the purple liquid or electricity
@@JackAglet to be fair, we didn't know at the time and he really did look like that spark wake Shigi up.
(Also saw a comment talk about Shigi being a nomu, so killing him would be difficult too...)
@@Avarith yeah that makes sense. At first it seems like the spark is what woke him up. But Horikoshi made that a misdirection and then explained to the readers later on about what actually happened
Day 121 of asking Alicia to play Nier:Automata!!
she is a work of art
Y'all, she's watching this blind and it's HER reaction channel. If you don't like how she reacts, don't watch. She's badmouthing the dude bc she's commenting abt what she understood in the scene.
Dayum, some of y'all need treatment. This is why she stopped recording Avatar. Some fanatics just stress without good reason.
I'm glad you do call out the writing decisions sometimes like with X-Less, tbh, I have a lot of those issues with the series writing in general starting from this point but I wonder how you'll find the arc overall
But X-Less literally did nothing wrong lmao
X less can’t even kill Shigaraki anyways. Shigaraki has a super durable body and he can also survive decapitation. Also somewhat of a spoiler but the electricity didn’t affect Shigaraki. He literally woke himself up from pure hatred as explained later
25:56 THANK YOU ALICIA!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Umm Heroes don't kill Alicia lol.
thats YOUR queen? Check rule 34 LOL
Based on your comments all I can say is have tissues handy.
21:10 YEP!!! Big L man X-Less😂😂😂😂
My hero academia fans are so weird lmaoo
@@Tubular_dude_20y_ago This is the stupidity of their situation. When it comes to survival, laws don't matter.
@@KanKerrai Exactly, it's arrogance. They're so comfortable that they see a threat of AFO's scale and think the system can't fail because it hasn't failed yet. They genuinely don't think their survival is threatened until it's thrusting into their faces.
Die hawks.
