I process things really slowly too. You'll definitely look back later on and reminisce about the times when living at home. It's part of your life you're leaving behind that you won't be going back to. But you definitely have awesome perspective so you definitely know this already. Here's to the next chapter!

As a person who's always been attached to my home, I personally found it difficult to even choose my college. I was just about ready to commit to UCI as soon as I got in, knowing that my home would be close by and I could do without a dorm. Then everything changed just 30 minutes to an hour later and I was suddenly reconsidering my decision, two UCs at my throat, my mind struggling so much to decide on which one to commit to. I decided to take the one a bit further from my house but served better academics. It's still a commutable distance but I need to have a dorm since it's quite a distance away, so I've been going back and forth from my home to my dorm to move things in at a more steady place. I like that unlike me, you're just ready to go from the start. It's an exciting time for us and I look forward to hearing about where you'll be going!! I've also been watching you since I was young and it's amazing how fast we all grow. All the kids that were my age when I began watching their families are now growing up so quickly, including you!

I work at a tropical smoothie so we get tips, I been getting mainly under 7, maybe most 15 once (idk the whole process; we all split) and then i at least get more change when it comes to my tips. I literally have 15 in change aside the one 15 tip I had. I keep meaning to bring it home to just save more because I will also just save a lot in my purse instead of my wallet so I’m not tempted to touch it (it works for me)) so big agreed on the coin thing. For you, it'll probably take about 3 months before you'll REALLY miss living at home and start feeling home sick, and that is a bump everyone goes through when they first move-out. But after a while, your new place will become your new HOME, and you'll want to be there instead of at your old nest.
