i just want to thank you for your tips and tricks for the brownies...my latest batch with a duncan hines box mix turned out pretty good with the increased egg count (2 instead of 1) and a quarter cup of butter with the quarter cup of oil...i used what i had which was some evaporated milk along with the amount of water the box called for and a partial bag of pecan pieces...i also used a muffin tin and made 10 of my personal best brownie muffins...i'm very pleased with the results thanks to you...
So yummy looking this cold winter morning! Have to laugh a little, Nicole...you know that there is no coffee in coffee creamer! 🤣. I will say though, swapping black coffee for water in brownies does add an ultra rich flavor, so you are on the right track! If people do want to use a box mix, Ghirardelli is the best you can buy and those add ins you suggested are terrific! Thanks for another great video!! 😘
With cake or brownies, anything you bake that is chocolate. Flour the pan or baking dish but instead of flour, use unsweetened chocolate cocoa. Because the brownies are sooooo sweet, the cocoa gives a fantastic flavor and doesn't taste bitter at all. You can always add other flavors like cinnamon or just dust with plain sugar. Good idea on the coffee Creamer. I put pecans in mine.
@@allrecipes Well, shut my mouth and set me south!! I am so sorry Nicole, I even looked for that creamer and read all of the ingredients to make sure they weren’t putting coffee in it! The ingredients list “natural flavor” so in addition to a caramel flavor, maybe they add a coffee flavor, too! You know we all love you and we’re just joking with you. You are one of the best in the kitchen on TH-cam and we wouldn’t want to hurt your feelings in any way. Thanks for setting us straight! 😘
It's 5 AM Christmas Eve morning.... LOL you've made my day ! I'm baking box mix for neighbors because that is what she enjoys....I'm bringing eggs to room temp right now...am going to add espresso powder(not liquid) -will use 8x8 pan with parchment....Finally a video & recipe that made me smile... love your personality...!! Merry Christmas..and ...thank you !
I usually add chocolate chips or chunks and walnuts. Another good add in are the giant candy bars (Hershey, Symphony, or Reese) baked between even layers of brownie batter. Those were a bake sale/potluck favorite. A little goes a long way with those too.
My sil and her mil made a filled brownie! 2 brownie mix (mixed separately) 13x9 pan pour 1st in prepared pan ..coconut sprinkled. Then can of condensed milk…then nuts of you choice… then 2nd mix bake! Yummy!
I definitelly love my brownies from the center of the pan and baked so they have a touch of raw batter. I know they cut better when cooled, but is it any harm to refrigerate before cutting? That seems to give the best cut.
I like to add the chocolate chips/chunks and cinnamon for a totally warming fall treat. And I always ALWAYS underbake my brownies. Serve with whipped cream and a dash of cinnamon on the whole thing, including the plate.
When making a cake with a cake box I use 3 eggs instead of two, and substitute melted butter instead of oil.I have used sour cream, and chocolate pieces brings up the flavor. For brownies I use parchment paper too helps the brownies stay moist.
When baking with chocolate I always add a pinch of nutmeg and a pack of hot chocolate mix. (With marshmallows in the mix are preferred.) If course adding some Rum always gets you the "Perfect bite."
Looks good but I'm confused about the coffee statement. You added coffee creamer, not actual coffee. But then you stated that the coffee gave it another level of flavor complexity. Was your coffee creamer a blend of cream and coffee already mixed together?
Yes, the coffee creamer I used had coffee flavor. But you could add coffee instead of water for a more intense flavor. Sorry, I know that got confusing! - Nicole
My boyfriend takes the center piece every time of almost everything I bake but especially brownies ! If I haven't cut them yet, I will come back to them with a perfect square missing in the center and only the center cut 😅 drives me crazy sometimes lol. I like to top my box brownies with a chocolate ganache. Recently I only had buttermilk and made the ganache with that, it turned out really good!
Yes...killed 2 birds with one stone! But you could use any flavor creamer. If you also want to use coffee instead of water, you could for more intense flavor.
I never leave a box mix of any kind alone! I always add stuff or change up the mix instructions! When I make brownies, my go to additive is chopped pecans. Sometimes I even cut up caramels and drop on top along with extra pecans, like making Turtle brownies. Yum! Whenever I make chocolate cake I most always add leftover brewed coffee, room temperature, instead of water the mix calls for. Makes the chocolate taste richer. I never thought about adding chopped Snickers though, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s in the next batch of brownies I make!
I have some Lindor white chocolate peppermint truffels that i wanted to do something with. I think i am going to try putting them in the brownies. A surprise in each bite. What do you think? Are there any other ideas on what i can do with the truffles? Thank you!
If you line your pan with parchment and let the sides hang over, you could lift them all out at once and it makes for prettier/easier cutting when they are completely cool. The other thing I find helpful is a small brownie spatula. It's easier to get that corner piece out and then the rest come out easy. - Nicole
What works for me is to use a plastic knife. Make sure it is completely cooled first because the plastic knife will melt if still hot. The plastic doesn’t stick to the brownies.
Just made these, no chocolate chips added walnuts👋 Next time a sprinkle of “NO sugar”coconut flakes, tablespoon of sour cream, few dark chocolate chips & maybe some vanilla. Definitely walnuts or whatever kind you have on hand. Nice recipe 👍
I was raised by a pastry chef father, who actually went to school to be a pastry chef. Plus, his parents owned a bakery in Chicago in the 1940's and 1950's. My mother also was a caterer who did wedding and special occasion cakes. They taught me to never use water, always milk. Never use oil, butter is better, as Paula Deen would say. These hacks plus a few more will always get you compliments!
When I bake a chocolate cake (I always bake feom Scratch) I always add at least a tablespoon of coffee (freshly brewed). I sometimes substitute melted butter for oil.
Normally, I add a snack cup of chocolate pudding and a cup of chocolate chips. I think I may try adding cut up peanut butter cups and swirl in some creamy peanut butter, to the batter. Ok. Time to bust out a box of brownie mix 😅

the caramel macchiato creamer I used had a coffee flavor. I had to check myself too because I thought I was going crazy! - Nicole

I like to add a layer of strawberry jam to the middle of a Krusteaz cinnamon swirl coffee cake!
Love the idea of the coffee creamer definitely going tontry that they looked delicious 😋 ❤
I've used flavored olive oil....orange, or bergamot, so delicious!

Hello Diana
I use coconut oil and the chocolate coffee creamer. That oil adds extra flavors and the chocolate coffee creamer makes it sweeter and more chocolaty.
When baking with chocolate I always add a pinch of nutmeg and a pack of hot chocolate mix. (With marshmallows in the mix are preferred.) If course adding some Rum always gets you the "Perfect bite."
Also, I like to sprinkle a bit of flaky salt on top before baking.
Looks good but I'm confused about the coffee statement. You added coffee creamer, not actual coffee. But then you stated that the coffee gave it another level of flavor complexity. Was your coffee creamer a blend of cream and coffee already mixed together?
I completely agree. Coffee creamer is not coffee. What I would do is add some expresso powder into the dry mix and let that work its magic!
Yes, the coffee creamer I used had coffee flavor. But you could add coffee instead of water for a more intense flavor. Sorry, I know that got confusing! - Nicole
@@allrecipes thanks for the clarification, it was like so confusing since we don't have coffee in our creamer here in my place🤔
Me too 🤔
Because she never made them before and was faking like most on here
Hi
I made it last night . Oh it came out delicious . My family love it. thank you so much for this recipe..
I made it with chocolate chips and vanilla creamer. Absolutely delicious.
How much chocolate chunks did. you add. Thanks for this recipe. Never knew you could improve brownie mix.
Brownielicous! Thank You for this Recipe! MICROWAVED for 9 min, in a greased 8x8 glass Pyrex dish. Cooled for 15 min. hit the spot!!!!

Thanks for this Nicole! I mix all the wet ingredients in bowl first, then gently mix in dry to avoid mixing mess. Did u use “coffee flavored” creamer?
Yes...killed 2 birds with one stone! But you could use any flavor creamer. If you also want to use coffee instead of water, you could for more intense flavor.

Corner Piece All Thee Way !!
Definitely a center piece girl
I have to go bake brownies now!! These look sooooo good!! 😋😍 P.S. I like edges the best! 😁
I use a lot of Buttermilk in my baking, it adds a lot of flavor and lightness...
Love to add cherry pie filling, crushed peppermint candies, or pecan pieces. 😊
Instead of snickers bars what other chocolate chunks could be used?
It was sooo good and it was perfect looking 10/10
you nailed the brownie game, girl! Loved this video!
Do you have any tricks of the trade on cutting brownies? What knife is the best for cutting brownies? I can never cut them evenly for some reason.
Try a plastic knife….it works great!

Yummy brownies and brownies ty
Hello Pamela
Could you us salted butter if we don’t have unsalted butter
Center but I wouldn’t refuse an edge.
I have coffee mate, vanilla flavor creamer could that be used?
Could any coffee creamer flavor be used.
You put chunks of snicker bars with peanuts in them in the batter?
The corners are the best part LoL 😋
So soft and yummy 😋😋😋💖💖
Does adding creamer make it not safe for room temp?
I like her videos,. Quick and too the point.
I hope it's OK to use real half & half for the creamer.
Yep!

I put those (both!) into my hot chocolate and it's AMAAAZING
I just made boxed brownies. When did they turn sooooo bad .?? Gotta watch these hack the next time
Wowsuper amazing 👍🔔🤝🤝
White cake mix, separate the eggs and whip the whites for a lighter cake. Boxed cake but homemade icing.
Love your recipes♥️
Found the right recipes for the boxed brownies I bought yesterday. Great ideas.
Thick center piece for me!
The first brownie I totally enjoy the edge but the second brownie I really want the middle 😎😬
I didn't see you put coffee in it.
Definitely an edge lover with brownies!

Could you shows the bag of chocolate that you use please…
😂 "HERES THE DEAL!"
I’m confused bc you said you added coffee. I thought you only added Starbucks Caramel Macchiato coffee creamer?
Sorry for the confusion. That creamer had a coffee flavor too.
I have a pan of browies in the oven now. I am using your recipe. I checked at 18 minutes and the top wasn't done. Going for another 7 minutes.
Brownies very nice but would be nice to have some nuts included into brownie mix
Is this the same lady who did the strawberry crunch for her ice cream
Where's the recipe?
Add walnuts
No edges. Centerpieces for me and a tall, ice-cold milk.
Corner piece all the wY
I use actual brewed coffee instead of the water.
Heck with a box. It's too easy to make unequaled brownies from scratch to buy a box.
