    I'm recalling Matt Smith played the young Prince Phillip in The Crown, who was also power blocked by the fact that his wife was the Queen as well.

    Luke was Aemond's nephew girlyy😂😂😂 I HATE CRISTON COLE him literally sending Ser Arryk to his d3ath on an EMPTY stomach was one of the most outrageous things he's done. And Joffrey was named after Laenor's lover

      @@misssoso5859 first of all, Rhaenyra is in the right to fight for what is rightfully hers. But more importantly what I mean is as this video discusses, Alicent is kind of an archetype of Catholic guilt, and she defines her life by trying to live up to unhealthy/dysfunctional standards of duty and morality in her culture, which makes her absolutely miserable, even before the war. There is no reason that she couldn't have had a happy life and close friendship with Rhaenyra, or that their children couldn't marry and rule together. Being highborn and favored by the royal family, she even could have chosen to disobey her father and marry someone actually suited to her (though obviously she was a child and it wasn't her fault). But she ruins her own life, and the lives of her loved ones, and becomes a hypocrite because her standards of morality are unreasonable and inconsistent. Although they both suffer the same fate, Rhaenyra lives a passionate and happy life until the war.

    The Books are told from unreliable narrators (the Maesters) so it's exaggerated version of what happened but the show is suppose to be what actually happened.

      One of the best parts of this season is how the show writers have been filling in plot holes and gaps. giving additional information on what happens in the books.

    Don't get me wrong Cole is a psycho but i also believe his actions does kinda make sense from his point of view. When Laenors boyfriend Joffrey makes that comment to Cole at the wedding Joffrey and we as the audience see it as a cheeky way to inform him of their shared position. But to Cole this can only be interpreted as a direct threat from Joffrey. Because if Coles and Rhaenyras relationship is revealed he will be sentenced to death or worse so he can only interpret Joffreys comments as a threat. That's why i believe he does what he does, fear and guilt and rage becoming madness. But he is still SO horrible for doing that and a complete wild card.

      I agree with your take on why Cole killed Joffrey, however I wanna add that he was struggling with the idea of being a "whore" for rhaenyra. Here, a fellow "whore" comes along, a gay one no less, and reminds him that they are on the same level of dishonor. Cole hated seeing himself in Joffrey.

    Cole is an actual psychopath that blames and then kills the people he wants to place said blame onto. Insane how many people are defending this dude in the comments. Man can’t even handle the idea of him having consequences for his actions because HE KEEPS GETTING AWAY WITH KILLING PEOPLE.

    You know I kinda blame Alicent & Visery for being a terrible Parents to their Sons mainly Alicent, She doesn't show no Mother affection for Her Sons mainly Aegon 3rd which is why the way they are but I was told outta all of Alicent 3 Sons that Daeron was Her noble good Son but He was raise Up in Old Town in School so that's why He not insane or stupid like his older two Brothers even his Heather not right In her head but She more kinda sweet than Her Husband/Brother Aegon and Brother Aemond.

    How the hell did SHE contribute to her grandson's death?? Crazy how you don't see how misogynistic this argument is. Fucking Cole didn't stop the guards from doing their jobs. The writers are just stupid.

    • @africanodyssey4805
      @africanodyssey4805 หลายเดือนก่อน +31

      Fucking Cole does stop the guards because Cole IS THE GUARD. He was supposed to be guarding Helaena's room because SHE is the queen and he is sworn to protect the queen. Alicent is the Dowager queen, and she took him from his post to get her rocks off on the other side of the fucking castle.
      Why do you think Aegon asked him where he was?? Even Arryk asked him where he was cuz wtf is he doing blaming Arryk for his own blunder??

      @@africanodyssey4805 He was NOT Helana's gurad, lmao, He was Alicent's guard. The castel should be full of gurads, and at least two of them should have been guarding Healena, but the writers are fucking stupid! This is why Rhaenyra was just able to sneak in with no problem in today's episode, lol. But you misogynistic freaks love to jump at any opportunity to demonize Alicent instead of thinking logically.

      @@africanodyssey4805 was he taken from his post though? He's always seen outside of Alicent's room, not Helaena's and their rooms are far apart. I thought the real issue was Cole sending guards away so they wouldn't get caught

    • @misssoso5859
      @misssoso5859 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @africanodyssey4805 He fucking didn't 🤣 You have ZERO proof he did that. Aegon was being irrational in his grief and blamed everyone. If he honestly thought Cole was responsible, he wouldn't have made him Hand. Otto would have cut off Cole's head if he dismissed all the guards. The writers made a stupid mistake.
