one of the cutest pieces i play (cradle song op.99- e. shand)

"cradle song, op. 99" was composed by ernest shand, whom i just recently discovered. i hadn't played any real british music in a while, so i was eager to get back into it. british music (i think of percy grainger, i know he was australian/lived in the u.s. give me a break) has such a vibe to it. always mixing in cute little ii7-V's, at times stern and strict and at others whimsical and bouncy. loving it. i also suggest you check out Percy Grainger's piano works, of which there are many, and all of them are fantastic, well thought out pieces. You should also check out mr ernest shand's guitar works. you should also check out phillip bone's biography of guitar/mandolin pla- oops i think i said too much... that one's a secret ;)
