Very helpful bro! From the 1st few videos I saw, I got the subscribe button. Question: Can you please do a video on GAIN STAGING especially on vocals before you mix do to allot of plugins I notice only work around a certain db? Also a video on vocal recording levels and what db side on the fader should the mixer be looking at and what's the difference. Some of this stuff can be confusing being a newbie to mixing. Thank you for these videos, you take your time and make it very clear and that's much appreciated.🙏
@@MyAudioAcademy if possible, vocals with two track as well. I usually bring the beat down -7 to -10 db clip gain but i add plugins such as vmr mix rack and transient shapers to make the beat more alive, as its an mp3. But end up clipping beat and master fader
@@nicocuevas5649 Definitely gotta be careful with the transient shapers. When you use them mild, they can absolutely help though! 👇🏼Have you seen this training? th-cam.com/video/8vFSfGK6RNk/w-d-xo.html
Awesome video, thank you so much! I just recorded my tracks in reason but as there was a 3month subscription to pro tools buying the Interface I guess this is the way to go for recording the vocals on my beats. Awesome stuff, well explained 👍
Quick question: So sometimes I have added a beat in pro tools I sometimes forget to set the right tempo, so when I do this the beat gets slower as well when I try to change the bpm afterwards. So what I normally do is I delete the beat, I change the bpm and then I add the beat again. But can you not do this without deleting?
Hey OJ! You would use stereo plugins for Aux/Bus tracks 👍🏼 I go a bit more in depth in this 60 minute training too 👉🏼 IntroToRecording.com I think this could be super helpful!
Hi, I have the “Record Radio Ready Vocals in Pro Tools Today!” (Video Training + Recording Template + Extra Bonuses) but it doesn't show the 3 reverbs in the template
@@MyAudioAcademy Ok, I had the radio ready template. I've download the template from this session. Can you show which plug ins from waves are comparable to those in this template? maag eq4 etc... Thanks
How do you turn the vocals down when your done to get the right level of the vocal and the beat ? I downloaded the young thug template . & when using the template can i leave my vox bus how it is and use my main track to add plugins instead of changing the plugins on my bus ? Since its a recording template
I use the level of the snare to set the level of my vocals typically. I like my snare, kick, and vocals to be sitting right about the same level (pro tip: do this while listening in mono) 🔑 Ultimately do what feels right to you and for the song, but this is a great place to start.
@@MyAudioAcademy So Same Thing With a two track beat match the vocals with the snare ? But where should i turn my vocals down ? & so i could add more plugins using the main track ?
WAV is definitely a superior file, but it produces a much larger file size. For easier playback for clients, we typically send them the rough mix as an mp3 (and obviously their session files) 👍
😂😂folder setup always overlooked...thanks for the emphasis
Thanks man seriously

Where is this template?

So what do you use the mixbus for?
I’m New on pro tools...
When you send lead vocal to a vocal mix bus, do you use stereo or mono plugins on that bus

The monitor behind you gives you kitty ears.
My wife thought it was cute too. Thanks for noticing ☺

Why in this case you exported in mp3 tho? Isn’t it better to choose wav?

do you use a preamp?
I do 👍🏼
We use the BAE 1073 at the studio I work out of.
ITS NOT THE SAME I BOUGHT IT JUST A LIL DIFFERENT
What do you mean cause I was thinking about buying it
