- I travel to Barboursville West Virginia to visit Billy Bob's Pizza Wonderland and the Rock-afire Explosion to see if the rumors I've been hearing are true...

I've been hearing that the animatronic band at Billy Bob's, The Rock-afire Explosion, has been getting a face lift and upon my arrival I found it to be true. Its being worked on by Braylon GIles, a long time fan. I spoke with him about what hes doing and a time line till he's done and of course had to get some of their amazing cheesy bread. Enjoy!

81st Vlog. Season 3 Episode 11
I've been out of the loop with Rock-Afire stuff for a few months now, so it really shocked me when I saw these guys are finally getting some maintenance done! This Rock-Afire band has been in horrible shape for *way* too long, so I'm glad to see they're finally getting some love and care! Long live the Rock-Afire Explosion.

Braylon is doing awesome work!!! I'd love to make a trek out there one day to see it. Glad you showed the Billy Bob footage at the end! Because we all know what happened at another place when there was only a Rolfe & Earl show and Billy Bob was being taken down from the stage! ;-)
Oh man, Rolfe and Earl look fantastic! Glad to see they're finally getting worked on. Honestly, I'm glad they're getting worked on THIS late in time, because if they're able to get them into top shape, that means they're more likely to stay here even longer than they would have if they kept the show in bad condition.
I can't wait to see what the animatronics look like when they are completely fixed!

That discolored patch of concrete in the opening drone shot is where they patched a sinkhole recently in the parking lot
Oh wow, sinkholes are something else you never know where they're gonna pop up.
i took a very long break for having my eye on billy bobs wonderland, and the characters kept breaking but knowing they’re being fixed is very exciting.
I’m so glad to see their band finally getting maintenance done. Someday I’ll make it out there and finally see the rockafire explosion in person, this location is my last hope!
Yep! Braylon is doing a great job isn't he! I am so happy he came back, do after decades of bad condition, the RAE will no longer be disrespected! And, I am friends with Kam, lol
I’ve been to billy bobs wonderland countless times and I’m glad the animatronics are finally getting work on them
In that opening drone shot at 2:30, the original BBWL was in the complex with the greyish brown tin roof

I don’t normally think animatronics look adorable but Rolfe actually looks like he’s meant for a kids show, most animatronics just look too creepy, and I can’t believe that I even think that he’s adorable because I’ve watched a video of him a few times and he was all broken down and melted yet he was still moving.
I love Rolph, he's hilarious.

I was never able to see any of these shows live so your videos are some of the only was I get to see them now. The guy braylon has been working on the classic three stage rock-afire bots. And side stages are working in much more better conditions then what they were for a very loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong timmmmmmmmmmmmmme.

@@nevinleaser1444 No when I was there Billy Bob was stripped down to his exoskeleton so the only pics I got of both of them was with him looking like that. And I only took video of Rolfe and Earl because they haven't been serviced yet theyre still a bit off but we'll see where your the whole thing is at January 1st.

Yes I found a clip taken just a couple days after I was there and included it in this video of him singing little arrows, He's looking great!

Went to a chuckecheese as a kid that was a redressed Rock Afire, loved it, and always wondered why it was so much better then the other chucacheeses.

this is amazing the life of these guys will live on so much longer my only question is why know and if billy bobs wonder land is still in finantchal ruins because they might be safe but if is the resturant still safe

I just hope that braylon will not replace beach bears new guitar with his old guitar because I like the colors on beach bear’s current guitar
Well he is definitely going to do that he actually told me that cuz they just found the original guitar.
@@SetsStreetsEats well that is a complete disappointment I love the colors on it and it’s unique to any other beach bear guitar but no replace a completely new color/unique guitar with a boring old version of it

Did they get a new owner or something? They are doing loads of restoration work to these.
The owner had some health problems and had to step back so his son, Rex, has stepped in to run it and is really turning the place around.
@@SetsStreetsEats honestly as sad as it is to say this, and I do hope the owner gets well but I hope Rex becomes in charge. He seems to know what he is doing with the place

So the original owner Rex bought a showbiz franchise in wv he owned Clarksburg Huntington and a Kentucky location Ashland there was a location in Parkersburg but it was owned by corporate Clarksburg closed Ashland turned into bbwl same as Huntington than they moved one of Rex sons owned it in 2020 than he got COVID last month than Rex’s other kid Rex jr owns it now
