I was in the cast of the 2001 Broadway Revival. I was the first 9 of Money and then graduated to be Peggy. This show will forever be one of the greatest tap shows in musical theatre history. Love this number and this production!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I saw that one and it’s still the best of the modern ones…thrilling opening and finale with the dancers coming up and over the stairs, just when you thought it was done!

I LOVE to tap dance! And it is videos like this that always cause me to mesmerised and be in awe by the amazing routines! And then continue to push me to keep practicing and improve. This video is truly incredible thank you for posting!
I love tap...any kind of dance. It’s quite hard to tape with heals! I don’t know how they did it so well! What a blast that looks like it must’ve been! Fun routine!

I was very fortunate that my uncle performed in this show for many years, and as got to see it at least six times. It remains one of my favorites.

I saw a production of 42nd St in 1982 in NYC. A great memory, especially since it was St Patrick's Day with all its parades and celebrations too.

Performers are a "dime" a dozen, any idiot can, tap (their asses off), sing, dance, be the right height, act, have a union card, have professional experience. We're like clerks in a store. We can easily be switched out for each other.
