The ED absolutely was caused by the abandonment of the person that he trusted most after sex. Curing it took all of those pieces: trust (Syphie), sex (the aphrodisiac), & the opportunity to stay or leave. When Syphie walked back in ready to continue a relationship with Rudy, he was instantly cured.
IMO the thing that cured Rudy was not spending the night with Sylphiette, nor the drug (aphrodisiac). The thing that completely cured Rudy was the moment he saw her coming back from the door Also i almost died at 1:06 when you completly stop singing xDDDDD hahahaha!
His heart was healed by her coming back, yeah. His ED was confirmed cured when he groped her. You can see her reacting to _it_ right before he says he's cured.

I liked the scene in the manga more than the anime.. The next morning, Rudy woke up and was remembering the trama that had happened to him in the past and thought that she had run away like Aris.. but she was sleeping next to him and hugged him and smiled, then Rudy hugged her and said that her love was the reason for treating his condition. It was a very beautiful moment.

Now Sylphy will be there for Rudy and will overcome those issues. In the manga in chapter 75, Rudy woke up and saw Slphy right next to him in bed. I would rather have had that but then again this needs to be safe enough for TV.
Don't forget that Orsted also contributed to the changes in Rudy. If Eris gave Rudy the fear of getting abandoned, Orsted gave Rudy the fear of getting killed when offending the wrong person.

I've figured out an extra layer to the moment Rudeus proposes marriage to Sylphy, and an explanation why Luke was so shocked (Ariel was surprised and shocked as well in the books and manga): Rudeus is making Sylphy a noble. He's taking responsibility not only for Sylphy's financial and social safety, but raising her to his level on the social ladder. Even if his parents aren't entitled to their houses' inheritance, they're still noble blood. Rudeus is nobility, while Sylphy is a commoner, a hunter's daughter. Luke might be thinking that Rudeus is going overboard, Sylphy has her dreams come true in a fashion she (and Lilia) never thought possible, and Ariel is swelling with pride that her friend has found herself an excellent husband to look after her. So she blesses their union by conferring a family name to Sylphy, ennobling her. Rudeus has a weeb's understanding of "How will you take responsibility [for taking her virginity]?" in that it's automatically marriage. It never even occurred to him to consider his family status. Sure, he has no lands and no title or office to his name, but the blood of nobles still flows in his veins. Luke and Ariel might've expected him to start working for the team, to compensate Sylphy, to sponsor her, or to take her as a concubine. To ask for her hand in marriage is to make her his peer, something that might be unconscionable in the Asuran court. Then again, Rudeus' ingrained 21st century morality (however eroded) generally makes him appear as if he's a saint in that world.
In some ways Sylphy could be stronger than Rudeus, if we're talking power and physicality. She has more combat experience against humans than Rudeus, with a kill count at least a dozen strong. And she can thinly coat herself in Battle Aura, while Rudeus can't do that at all. She is also his heart going forward. He would no longer be himself without her. And he is the only man she would ever love in any conceivable reality.
