Line the jig head with the bait and with a sharpie make a small mark on the side of the bait and the center of the bait. You can then determine how far to push the bait onto the hook and where the hook will come out better.
" Use your finger to mark where the hook point is going to come out.... " "Now move your finger and forget all previous references, because you are going to guess anyway....?"
Its not that important to get it perfect tho... if it goes on little bit more crooked, that means that it is going to have more movement in the water and that is rarely a bad thing. Only when fishing in very warm water and the fish is hyoer active
These lures are absolute crap. It tears at the slightest poke when rigging...and if by some miracle you get it on the hook clean, the first time a saltwater fish pulls on it it's gone. They try pushing the "glue" to fix them....how about making a product that is tough enough to last a few casts. I wouldn't fish these if they were free.
They are TRASH soft plastics. I have a feeling once the hype dies down from all the wanna be kids NLBN will have to sell the business exactly like toadfish had to do.
@@bigjuicy2493 I agree with you but my point stands if it’s free like dude said, I’d be re rigging all day, I can tie a clinch knot in a matter of seconds whos to say I couldn’t throw a new plastic on just as quick
@@tailwateroutfitters thanks! I just subscribed to your channel because I stumbled upon it. I like the rod n reel vids, how to rig videos, all of them. Keep up the good content.
I never knew how those jigs worked til now... lol thanks
They are fire man. Around docks and inlets . Top water Lil mullet is money also
The hardest part is keeping the dang hook centered. My baits end up lookin like they were skewered on the hook lol
😂👌
Wrap the hook/barb in electrical tape when twisting it onto the hook
good tips but i would never take the time to use tape if it’s scratched it’s scratched
Use the point of the hook to mark where the hook should come out of the bait. Its easier to remember
Actually u can just take the hook in the bait until the hook bend and puncture with the eye of the jig head to mark exactly where to take ur hook out
Dude if you were fishing on a kayak you could legit use that thing to get around.
Nice work that barb thing is exclusive 😮
Love theses vids the tape trick really helps beacase every time I screw it in it rips my bait and there Ixpensive lurs❤
I love these vids i can't lie

Are those saltwater baits?
Nice bluegill lure
More like amoeba mate.
I love how the eye and paint falls off after 5 casts 🤣
It really doesn’t lol, mine fall off after about 5-10 fish

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Meanwhile I use my 5 inch zmans over and over and don’t need to carry tape to just rig the paddle tail. NLBN is overrated as heck. 😂
You just mad to can’t buy them
@@Mc-fingerboardYou’re mad youve been suckered
@@animetrash9110he'll have no reply to that fs🤣💀
@@Mc-fingerboardzmans have lasted me atleast hundred fish for 1 pack 🤣
@@Mc-fingerboardbro , zmans cost more lmao.
Great bait at the inlets. Fire around docks also. Lil mullet is fire also
Its better to mark the spot by making a little cut with your hook cause you were just guessing now

Dog that barb is so sharp I didn’t tape one and it looked like a bluefish bit it
I did the same thing!
I ain’t doin all dat electrical tape the barb puts like microscopic cuts
that's cool😅😅😅😅
For a second I thought your hands were just extremely small lol
maybe my hands are small

Yes you would buddy
@@BryceAcostayeah if they were free I don’t see what them wearing out would have to do with anything just a regular old soft plastic they all rip
@@chrismeister2554re rigging takes up a lot of time and gets tedious especially if there’s a bunch of fish

What ya fishing for with these
At first I thought the tape was for my clumsiness
Na, it works!
You dont fish with the electrical tape still attached? Amateurs.... 🤣
Salt water ?
Massive Bass. 🤣
What are these used for?
Snook, tarpon, grouper, cobia, striped bass, etc

Or use a stinger..
pike are gonna destroy the rubber anyways :)
Barracuda😳
LBN
What that lure is used for
I used them for tarpon and snook
Couldn't say id ever throw that not even in the ocean off a kayak
tarpon candy
Or you could buy a zman mulletron lt.
I think most people will skip the tape part... wtf
I don’t think you have to take electrical tape
Bro thanks for the tape trick the hook always grabs when i try rigging it
The first step is save up all your money
That’s a 1.5 ounce head
He was lying?
Or just be a man an guesstimate
Who the hell has time to do that . Making a simple sport complicated. FYI, when fish aren’t bitting, it doest matter how pretty your bait looks.

Nice video. But NLBN is so extremely over rated. Fall apart after 2 fish and the price does not reflect how easily they fall apart.
And then I snag it in the rocks on the first cast
It’s more impressive doing it with a trout magnet
