Can we all acknowledge the amazing positive soil of Aimee Boorman .........who provided a foundation for the seeds of greatness in Simone to blossom!!!!!! Wow!!!!
I love Simone. I adore her humble personality. You can’t help but love her. I hope she makes the team in France because Simone can do whatever she sets her mind on doing. ❤😊
The claim that elite gymnasts feel sorry for themselves is too common in a poor coach and oft misguided. It is frustration and fear/concern. Channeling that into the bravery to make changes to get a different outcome is the solution. Encouraging bravery and motivating change is key as a coach
That carries on well past your gymnastics career, however far you choose to compete. I was not an athlete as a young person; my talents were in music and writing. As I observe those who did organized sports vs not as children, their adulthood attitudes and approaches to issues are different. It’s not inherently better or worse. It’s the hallmark of genuine leaders to find the strengths in each person and bring them out to make everyone their best.
If a front handspring vault is a legitimate vault, and a front layout is just a front handspring without the hands, why is a front layout vault considered to be a mistake rather than an upgrade?
@@Rizzlergoblin578 I know there's no such thing as a front layout vault, but a front handspring vault is a common vault. If someone were to do a front handspring vault without their hands, like Simone did as a child, then it'd be a front layout vault.
If you don’t make contact with the table, then it’s not a vault. It’s just a flip. She basically did a front layout as if she were on floor. It would’ve made no difference whether the table was there or not because she never touched it. You have to touch the equipment of the event that you’re competing on.
@@TraceFaceTV Oh, okay. That makes perfect sense. I was thinking of the springboard and the vault as a package deal, so jumping on the springboard would count as touching the apparatus, but I was wrong. So, now I know; a front layout vault doesn't count as a vault, because you don't touch the vault mat or table.
My daughter went to a free gym class years ago and stood on the beam on her toes like Simone just did in the video she has been able to do this since she was 2. we were going to enroll her. They did practice where they made the kids do summersaults from wall to wall. She kept up with all the kids just walking in off the street. then proceeded to make it over to a garbage can and puke ugh. That was my daughters brief gymnastic experience. My daughter now can no longer do the toe thing as she dislocates her knees if she does it.
