As a former hg pilot myself, that was a very satisfying video to watch, and listen to! Thanks for not ruining your video with cheesy music. Landing I found to be one of the more exciting parts of a flight, this collection of landings captures the sights and sounds well. Thanks for the upload, stay safe!
Well done. Excellent energy management and I was smiling ear to ear about the location to the highway which the pilot never allowed to distract him. Well done. I'm sure more than one person in the cars got inspired.
Taking advice from random strangers online is like taking financial advice from the homeless , so I wont offer any ... Besides , I for one am quite impressed with your Dive approach to the LZ . Takes balls . Your video reminds us that one takes up our sport for the fun and excitment of it. If you want to be "Safe " Take up photography or stamp collecting .
On most of your final approaches you were at trim speed on the uprights; it would be safer to come in a faster dive, level on ground effect, and after bleeding speed you go to upright and flare. Would have avoided the whack at 4:55 for example, and worse things can happen on gusty days.
A lot of people are making similar observations. But also, I noticed that on that particular approach he came in from the opposite direction ...and possibly downwind? Makes it a bit tougher.
Love the fast approaches, but then you are losing airspeed at a critical time when you are coming out of prone. More time in ground effect will make your landings easier.
This is not good technique.More speed os needed low to the ground . It is just a matter of time untill you get dumped by low level turbulence . I know that this makes it harder to be accurate but the pay off is less injury. Well shot, but a good example of what to avoid doing . This is from 40 years of no injury but a few near misses.
...thanks for sharing! a couple of pointers, you keep "swinging" or moving your feet forward on the flare, not good or a good habit, another thing is the spreader bar on the hang strap, to low. Please move it up closer to the keel. Cheers!

Great piece of flying. You exude confidence. Great skill. High mountain flying, and landing....Impressive.

holy landing site, Bat Man! I can't imagine doing my downwind and base over a High School and highway! You have guts and skillz 😀

That’s not how glider landing works.
Love the button down shirt. Definitely have to up my dressing code.

You nailed your comment! DO NOT USE THIS VIDEO FOR INSTRUCTION!!!
Gracias por compartir. Excelentes aterrizajes. Que glider es?
Very good video.....
I thought part 103 not suppose to fly over populated areas like busy highways like that?
"Except when necessary for takeoff or landing" CFR 91.119

Thanks for the pointers. Good catch on the spreader bar!
