      I know knox/Henderson station would have been completed if it weren't for NIMBY

      Nt, that years back that station was 30% complete and not even finished the reason to took off of plan is too much money.

      ​​@@jtlovescodelyokoNot in my backyard" People who live in houses and prevent the construction of good infrastructure from happening because either some construction is gonna happen on "their" land or refusing really good deals to buy their homes to build it. They're a pain in the ass and only hold back society.

    I wish I could go down those trap door stairs and check it out and maybe watch some DART trains thunder by at 65 MPH. I stopped there once off Willis Ave and took a listen from the vent shaft and heard a train going by. I could hardly see down in the shaft so maybe night vision goggles would work. I want DART to build this station. Just like Cityplace this station will also have a West and an East portal entrance on each side of Central Expressway, but inclined elevators would be too much work so just regular elevators to and from the street level

      Do you know the exact location of the trap door stairs or a landmark near it...that takes me back to my childhood of exploring hidden places like we was the goonies. I looked on the map but i can't seem to find it

      The problem is that NIMBYs shut the project down and didn't want a subway going under their neighborhoods. They regretted it later as the need for one arose in the late 1990s but the problem is without public support, the city had to shift the funds to something more urgently needed. By then, the funds had been used up and the project was killed off for good.

    Not going to get finished as they would only be able to work on it at night when there are no trains around, approx four hours a night. Would be a lot longer than doing it all in one go, but doing that would close the red, orange and blue lines for months, maybe a year.
    The costs of closing those DART lines, or working at such an incremental pace, just don't add to the benefits of having that station opened
