I agree on the potion part but Goofy does a great Job in healing my MP. They might be kinda of whimpy but Donald and Goofy are really amazing support Characters in KH 1. At least in the original. I have not played KH 1 Final mix yet. But yeah not giving them potions is a good Idea.
I actually happen to stock teammates with items from time to time. Made it to where they only use items in emergencies and they've been a GOD SEND for a lot of the bosses I've dealt with. I don't seem to be having the same issues with unreliable party members like everybody else it seems lol

Okay, about the 3 answers thing, picking all the first answers makes you level up fast until Lv 40, at which point it slows way down, all second answers give an even EXP curve, and all third answers make you level up slowly until Lv 40 at which point it speeds up. Or if you prefer, "dawn" is good for speed play throughs, "noon" gives an even experience, and "night" is for those who want to get to Lv 100.
My biggest problem with the game is autolock forming a deep romantic attraction with literally every enemy it locks on to so i sometimes get merc'd from behind because sora's LOOKING AT SOME RANDOM MOOK THAT HE JUST KEYBLADED SO HARD IT LANDED HALF A CONTINENT AWAY
I only used it if there was one enemy in the area and I could see them. If you lock on after attacking an enemy then immediately turn it off(if you're not facing the group of enemies that is) then it fixes the issue and redirects the camera back towards the group of enemies 99% of the time.
On unrelated note... I hate intros for youtube viedos, HATE them, but this one is so damn catchy and upbeat i love it and can't stop clicking on new videos just to hear it!
Word of advice. At around 13:40 when she’s talking about the three questions, they do have a rather significant role with experience depending on how you answer. If you answer with the impatient or arrogant answers, you’ll be given the level up quickly in the beginning but you really have to work on grinding at the end. Another combination leads to just a static, steady pace for leveling, and the last set is the opposite of the first example (which is my favorite). There are guides that explain better.
I don't know if it was just me, but Donald's heal saved my life almost every time. I could never understand the issue. Could be just a joke? But they have saved me tooo many times.
AAG Ventus everyone has their stories and issues. For me donald prioritized healing goofy over me. But for most donald just doesn't seem to heal when healing was needed.
I think the reason why KH works is the plot. No seriously guys. In the first game we get hints of what's to come, then KH2 came out, then BbB, 3D and everything else that filled it all in and we're standing here like 'what is this monster of a plot' which is - honestly - what I loooooove and is very FF-esque.
Kingdom Hearts needs to stop after KH3. The plot is so fucking ridiculous that they've even resorted to time travel to explain the most ridiculous of plot points.

I guess i'd have to say chain of memories is my favorite KH game since it's the only one i've played. i hear it's the worst in the series though. would it be recommended to go play the other ones?
When I first played, I died soooooo many times with Riku II at Hollow Bastion. I lost count after 53 times. I finally beat it in a year and I was so happy. Now as an adult I played it again, it took me 1 time to defeat him and that's because I got Shield instead of sword because I had no clue back then.
Mmmm... yess umm.. i played it on standard mode with the sword and died so many times. Got to Tarzan's world before starting a new game and setting it to beginner and collecting the shield... yaaa >_> Challenge averted... Recommended for anyone who wants to just play the story and not die ever.
This is one of my comfort videos, seriously you are the reason I liked the idea of the game so much my sister bought it for me, and for that I thank you, buns.
I did everything in the game before I beat sepheroth and the final boss, I ended up using aeroga to essentially blitz sepheroth and completely destroy him by blocking all his attacks with a super powerful aeroga shield and healing when near death. Otherwise I just kept spamming x to beat the crap out of sepheroth with the ultima weapon
Kodo Elder-Groebe I played KH2 years before 1, and I actually preferred 1 a tad more. The gameplay for KH2 was way better and more fun, but the world design for KH1 was more interesting, I found KH2 to be more barren and flat with less interaction. The plot for 1 felt better, too, but thats probably because it was first and the latter I played first so I could really feel the rehashing/revisiting of the 1st's worlds.
Kodo Elder-Groebe I preferred two because it seemed a little smoother. I just bought the ps4 versions of the Final Mixes though so it'll hopefully be around the same now!

Kingdom Hearts and Tokyo Mirage Sessions are really similar. They're both weird crossovers, but you have to give them credit for being orginal stories as opposed to generic crossovers.

Asriel NightCast People don't seem to realise the reason why Sora started crying when he finally met up with Riku in Kingdom Hearts 2 and not with Kairi. With Kairi, he at least knew from the end of Kingdom Hearts 1 that she was alive- if not safe and sound. Riku, however, was trapped without a Keyblade in the Realm of Darkness. Couple that with Mickey refusing to talk about Riku in Kingdom Hearts 2 and both Xemnas and Saix goading Sora that Mickey was hiding something from him, and you can see why Sora would be absolutely worried sick about Riku more than Kairi. Sora knew for certain that Kairi was still alive by the time of Kingdom Hearts 2, but he didn't know dick of what became of Riku. All that worry and relief came pouring out at the end of Kingdom Hearts 2 as he collapsed to his knees before Riku. But somehow, people take that as Sora wanting Riku's dick. And I don't even have a fucking clue where all the naga vore shit came from.

I just got The Story So Far and am playing Kingdom Hearts for the first time (I didn't have a console growing up). This video is super-helpful, so thank you. Also I feel a lot less stupid for not being able to tell where the heck I'm supposed to go. The Deep Jungle was...wow. Yep. That was something else. I really am enjoying everything so far though. I'm just glad that I've already had the experience of playing the living daylights out of a (PC) game with crappy 3D platforming. Kingdom Hearts is giving me flashbacks, but since they ARE flashbacks the crappy platforming is comical rather than disheartening.

*BEGINNER'S GRADUATION* (a.k.a. what people who want go Intermediate outta know) - As usual, the internet make a fuss about chosing the *Staff* because of a stupid reason. (*Second Chance* being obtained at a very high level) Naturaly there are good things to it, like getting the *MP Abilities* early and Lucky Strike not coming at a very high level. - The 3 Questions determine your *leveling rate*: "Your journey begins at dawn" = Easier Lvs 1-50, Harder Lvs 51-100 "Your journey begins at noon" = Avarage Rate "Your journey begins at dusk" = Harder Lvs 1-50, Easier Lvs 51-100 Personaly I like going with Dusk, but I think it's more interesting to answer honestly and go with what you get instead of manipulating. - Need to fight them? No. *Should* to fight them? Yes, no better way to get a feel for the controls than to do so while training with your friends. (Especially if you're *starting the game over*, some people get used to stuff like Glide and Aerial Sweep far too easily) - About the White Mushrooms Instead of doing whatever 3 spells they ask, wait a bit to hit it with the *same spell* 3 times for a Spell Mastery Mark and better item drop rates. (get all element marks and talk to merlin to get one of the *Dream* Weapons) - Or go counter-clockwise the first time until you get *Thunder* and go back to how Bunny suggested it. - It goes without saying that instead of not tweaking your Ship, you should AT THE VERY LEAST stuff *Shield*, *Haste* or their upgraded versions. (Other interesting things to do: Drills, Drain/Osmose, Better Cannons, Rockets, Better Engines, etc.) If you wanna show off, get the Crown Gummy and put it on your ship. (assuming you CAN get it)
Well the main reason to choose the staff, that one extra mp you get that you can't get when choosing the other options. Max mp determines magic power(as in how much damage you do with magic as well as how long stop lasts) in KH1. On top of that, it's needed to reach 100 hits on pink agarius. On top of that, keeping the staff at the very least allows you to start with 2 more Ap(total starting AP is 3 in this case) so that's always nice. Also I know I'm 2 years late but just thought I should throw this out there.

+SuperButterBuns w2ell i said i would flood with kh2 tipps and now its time 1. when you do the jobs as roxas do them till the game stops you for extra ap 2. losing against setzer in the struggle gives you an strength +1 accessory, winning a armor piece with 20% element resistances. take your pick 3. a donut shaped gummi ship breaks the game in a good way 4. every world has after its completion a black mushroom. win his minigame for tranquil items and weapons (weapons only drop if you are really goos) 5. the purple cavern in hollow bastion, also known as cavern of remembrance is really high level so be careful 6. save the illusion items till you can make full bloom + which is full bloom + serenity crystal and make if possible 4 7. if you want to get puzzle pieces early and have aerial dodge do normal jump, aerial dodge and transform midair into master form for a third jump (aerial dodge is kinda a jump) 8. keeping summons out is helpful even if you dont use their limits 9. on harder difficulties pick the shield to get once more and second chance early 10. never give your party stat boosts 11. in early game loot all the items off your party 12. unequip any and all auto abilities. they mostly just screw you over in bossfights 13. your party is again mostly support so make the most of it. (applies especially on critical mode 14. atlantica is again here and optional. if you want to do it wait till you have thundaga and then do it in one go 15. there are 5 torn pages. pooh has good items though this time 16. you cant do all the post game stuff till you complete the game 17. the absent silouette in beasts castle has the best reward 18. reaction commands greatly help so use them 19. reflect is kinda broken 20. cure uses all remaining mp so try using it only when you really need to 21 the fm exclusive limit form is kinda broken 22. when you have chars outside your party fight with you, or are not in a party iwth 2 alive others, anti form cant come. 23 after using a drive and its shockwave pause the game for a few seconds and then unpause. it helps iwth loading issues the ps3 version has i should stop here for now because i dont know word limits here. i post more later.
I totally feel the getting lost comment. I played Kingdom Hearts 2 first then went back to play the first only to get stuck between Tarzan and the Three Headed Cerberus with Hercules. I gave up and tried years later only to use a guide because I still couldn't figure it out. God this game.

Ugh, no way. That shit confuses the fuck out of me and gives me motion sickness. It gave me MOTION. SICKNESS. DDD is probably the second worst KH title I've played imo (sad since Riku is my fave) But, even the worst of KH still is good enough for me. And no, unchained doesn't even count as KH.
D MAS Ok, first of all, KHUX has so much essential good backstory you don't even know. Second, Flowmotion was essential because everyone knew platforming in previous games was bs since that race with Riku and so Flowmotion made platforming easier/optional, and it was so good that they're re-implementing it in KH3. And third, much like CoM, 3D has so many major plot points and details it would put KH2 to shame. It isn't bad by any stretch of the word and I feel it's wrong to compare KH games because of the multiple consoles they're on they play so differently and all contain plot points of a large intertwining story

+Jan I do like KH2FM more but I have to tell you, you are incorrect. There are abilities, keyblades, and rewards that are in this game that are not present within the vanilla version. Also how to make the Ultima weapon is also different.

If you answer with the impatient or arrogant answers, you’ll be given the level up quickly in the beginning but you really have to work on grinding at the end. Another combination leads to just a static, steady pace for leveling, and the last set is the opposite of the first example (which is my favorite). There are guides that explain better.

AAG Ventus everyone has their stories and issues. For me donald prioritized healing goofy over me. But for most donald just doesn't seem to heal when healing was needed.
AAG Ventus My Donald wasn't that bad. Just adjust his AI to melee only so he doesn't waste mp. Also prioritize getting defensive shields on goofy

In the first game we get hints of what's to come, then KH2 came out, then BbB, 3D and everything else that filled it all in and we're standing here like 'what is this monster of a plot' which is - honestly - what I loooooove and is very FF-esque.

When I first played, I died soooooo many times with Riku II at Hollow Bastion. I lost count after 53 times. I finally beat it in a year and I was so happy. Now as an adult I played it again, it took me 1 time to defeat him and that's because I got Shield instead of sword because I had no clue back then.
Mmmm... yess umm.. i played it on standard mode with the sword and died so many times. Got to Tarzan's world before starting a new game and setting it to beginner and collecting the shield... yaaa >_> Challenge averted... Recommended for anyone who wants to just play the story and not die ever.

I did everything in the game before I beat sepheroth and the final boss, I ended up using aeroga to essentially blitz sepheroth and completely destroy him by blocking all his attacks with a super powerful aeroga shield and healing when near death. Otherwise I just kept spamming x to beat the crap out of sepheroth with the ultima weapon

Kodo Elder-Groebe I played KH2 years before 1, and I actually preferred 1 a tad more. The gameplay for KH2 was way better and more fun, but the world design for KH1 was more interesting, I found KH2 to be more barren and flat with less interaction. The plot for 1 felt better, too, but thats probably because it was first and the latter I played first so I could really feel the rehashing/revisiting of the 1st's worlds.
Kodo Elder-Groebe I preferred two because it seemed a little smoother. I just bought the ps4 versions of the Final Mixes though so it'll hopefully be around the same now!

Kingdom Hearts and Tokyo Mirage Sessions are really similar. They're both weird crossovers, but you have to give them credit for being orginal stories as opposed to generic crossovers.

Asriel NightCast People don't seem to realise the reason why Sora started crying when he finally met up with Riku in Kingdom Hearts 2 and not with Kairi.
With Kairi, he at least knew from the end of Kingdom Hearts 1 that she was alive- if not safe and sound. Riku, however, was trapped without a Keyblade in the Realm of Darkness.
Couple that with Mickey refusing to talk about Riku in Kingdom Hearts 2 and both Xemnas and Saix goading Sora that Mickey was hiding something from him, and you can see why Sora would be absolutely worried sick about Riku more than Kairi.
Sora knew for certain that Kairi was still alive by the time of Kingdom Hearts 2, but he didn't know dick of what became of Riku. All that worry and relief came pouring out at the end of Kingdom Hearts 2 as he collapsed to his knees before Riku.
But somehow, people take that as Sora wanting Riku's dick. And I don't even have a fucking clue where all the naga vore shit came from.

I just got The Story So Far and am playing Kingdom Hearts for the first time (I didn't have a console growing up). This video is super-helpful, so thank you. Also I feel a lot less stupid for not being able to tell where the heck I'm supposed to go. The Deep Jungle was...wow. Yep. That was something else. I really am enjoying everything so far though. I'm just glad that I've already had the experience of playing the living daylights out of a (PC) game with crappy 3D platforming. Kingdom Hearts is giving me flashbacks, but since they ARE flashbacks the crappy platforming is comical rather than disheartening.

- As usual, the internet make a fuss about chosing the *Staff* because of a stupid reason. (*Second Chance* being obtained at a very high level)
Naturaly there are good things to it, like getting the *MP Abilities* early and Lucky Strike not coming at a very high level.
- The 3 Questions determine your *leveling rate*:
"Your journey begins at dawn" = Easier Lvs 1-50, Harder Lvs 51-100
"Your journey begins at noon" = Avarage Rate
"Your journey begins at dusk" = Harder Lvs 1-50, Easier Lvs 51-100
Personaly I like going with Dusk, but I think it's more interesting to answer honestly and go with what you get instead of manipulating.
- Need to fight them? No. *Should* to fight them?
Yes, no better way to get a feel for the controls than to do so while training with your friends. (Especially if you're *starting the game over*, some people get used to stuff like Glide and Aerial Sweep far too easily)
- About the White Mushrooms
Instead of doing whatever 3 spells they ask, wait a bit to hit it with the *same spell* 3 times for a Spell Mastery Mark and better item drop rates. (get all element marks and talk to merlin to get one of the *Dream* Weapons)
- Or go counter-clockwise the first time until you get *Thunder* and go back to how Bunny suggested it.
- It goes without saying that instead of not tweaking your Ship, you should AT THE VERY LEAST stuff *Shield*, *Haste* or their upgraded versions. (Other interesting things to do: Drills, Drain/Osmose, Better Cannons, Rockets, Better Engines, etc.)
If you wanna show off, get the Crown Gummy and put it on your ship.

Well the main reason to choose the staff, that one extra mp you get that you can't get when choosing the other options. Max mp determines magic power(as in how much damage you do with magic as well as how long stop lasts) in KH1. On top of that, it's needed to reach 100 hits on pink agarius. On top of that, keeping the staff at the very least allows you to start with 2 more Ap(total starting AP is 3 in this case) so that's always nice. Also I know I'm 2 years late but just thought I should throw this out there.
regarding Monstro, warping to him automatically causes you to get him to eat you.
for me he isnt there half of the time when I warp so who knows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

1. when you do the jobs as roxas do them till the game stops you for extra ap
2. losing against setzer in the struggle gives you an strength +1 accessory, winning a armor piece with 20% element resistances. take your pick
3. a donut shaped gummi ship breaks the game in a good way
4. every world has after its completion a black mushroom. win his minigame for tranquil items and weapons (weapons only drop if you are really goos)
5. the purple cavern in hollow bastion, also known as cavern of remembrance is really high level so be careful
6. save the illusion items till you can make full bloom + which is full bloom + serenity crystal and make if possible 4
7. if you want to get puzzle pieces early and have aerial dodge do normal jump, aerial dodge and transform midair into master form for a third jump (aerial dodge is kinda a jump)
8. keeping summons out is helpful even if you dont use their limits
9. on harder difficulties pick the shield to get once more and second chance early
10. never give your party stat boosts
11. in early game loot all the items off your party
12. unequip any and all auto abilities. they mostly just screw you over in bossfights
13. your party is again mostly support so make the most of it. (applies especially on critical mode
14. atlantica is again here and optional. if you want to do it wait till you have thundaga and then do it in one go
15. there are 5 torn pages. pooh has good items though this time
16. you cant do all the post game stuff till you complete the game
17. the absent silouette in beasts castle has the best reward
18. reaction commands greatly help so use them
19. reflect is kinda broken
20. cure uses all remaining mp so try using it only when you really need to
21 the fm exclusive limit form is kinda broken
22. when you have chars outside your party fight with you, or are not in a party iwth 2 alive others, anti form cant come.
23 after using a drive and its shockwave pause the game for a few seconds and then unpause. it helps iwth loading issues the ps3 version has

Ugh, no way. That shit confuses the fuck out of me and gives me motion sickness. It gave me MOTION. SICKNESS. DDD is probably the second worst KH title I've played imo (sad since Riku is my fave)
But, even the worst of KH still is good enough for me. And no, unchained doesn't even count as KH.
D MAS Ok, first of all, KHUX has so much essential good backstory you don't even know. Second, Flowmotion was essential because everyone knew platforming in previous games was bs since that race with Riku and so Flowmotion made platforming easier/optional, and it was so good that they're re-implementing it in KH3. And third, much like CoM, 3D has so many major plot points and details it would put KH2 to shame. It isn't bad by any stretch of the word and I feel it's wrong to compare KH games because of the multiple consoles they're on they play so differently and all contain plot points of a large intertwining story

Carl small boats are good for short distances, but a raft is what you use to explore. Plus, those boats require rowing, the raft doesn't
